Four Calls of God
Matthew 20:16

Many love the fire and zeal of revival, but will you answer the call of the Lord?

1. The Outward Call
This is the voice of the Shepherd saying, “Come home.” It happens when the Word of God is preached, the arrows of the Lord pierce the heart, and the Holy Spirit convicts the lost soul. In Matthew 20:16, God says, “For many are called, but few chosen.” The truth of this Scripture is that few choose to be chosen. Saul of Tarsus heard the outward call and said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting” (Acts 26:15).
2. The Inward Call
This is the deeper call. The first call gets your attention, the second, your adoration. The outward call brings men to a profession of Christ, the inward to a possession of Christ. The outward call tells you who He is, with the inward call He tells you who you are. With the inward call, the heart is renewed and the will embraces Christ. Saul (meaning “asked of God”) became Paul (meaning “little”) when he answered the inward call. “But rise, and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness…” (Acts 26:16).
3. The Forward Call
Once a person has answered the outward call, and obeyed the inward call, then he is ready to put his heart-thoughts into action. It is one thing to tell the Lord that we will go wherever He wants us to go, while it is quite another to actually fulfill our commitment. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” This is the forward call. It is not optional.
4. The Upward Call
This is the final call. Jesus is coming back for a spotless Bride. It is the call the first three are in preparation for. As Paul wrote to Timothy, “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing” (2 Tim 4:8). Do not miss the upward call.

Lord, thank You for the destiny that You have called each one of us to
As we come to an end of 2013, thank You for Your faithfulness in our lives and in ministries all around us
We know we can trust You and know our future will turn out right!
Father, we have a grateful heart before You
Thank You that You got us in the right place, in the right church, and under the right pastors
We are blessed in You!
You are worthy of all praise, Lord
We see change!
Jesus, we lift Your name!
We are looking to You
Lord, we are expectant about the things that You are doing!
Every day pressing ahead in every way
Calling for the turns, changes, and doors to be clear and open
A great move of and by Your Spirit flowing through in a new way
Every change is a process
It shall not take us by surprise for we expect it to go through and increase
Declaring every part and anointing to be changed and made new
Shutting out every wrong way and plan and pressing into liberty
There are opportunities and favor in those new places
Going up into the greater and calling everything right
Speaking to the conditions to be lined up and be right
We believe to not miss even one detail of the plan
Lord, by faith we keep our eyes on You!
Help us not to look for just manifestations, but to look to You!
We expect for You to move in a greater way in us
Let Your wind blow wherever it needs to
Lord, we lift and glorify You today!
We rededicate our lives and calls to You again!
By faith and the power of Your blood, we will not miss even one plan or purpose along Your way
We will be connected to the right people
Not leaning on our own understanding, but trusting in You!
Seeing the body of Christ being dressed in new and brighter glory, anointing, and power
We pray over leaders and positions of authority
Visit the people today
Praying for peace in Jerusalem
Calling for sudden turns and changes
Unusual manifestations shall come to pass
Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord!
Lord, we believe and pray to continually yield to Your plan
