Prayer Summary for August 1

Prayed…

We yield ourselves to You today, Lord
Holy Spirit, we yield ourselves to Your will, to Your ways, to Your plans, and to Your words
Opening ourselves up to more and more of Your presence, Father
Thank You, Father, that we can come together to be in one accord
Your presence is saturating us in this place
Holy Spirit, we welcome You and allow You to bring that internal change to our hearts
Help us in our inabilities, Father
We need Your Holy Spirit to lead and guide our steps, today!
Yielding to You and to You alone precious, Holy Spirit
Father, You are all that I want
We worship and magnify the mighty name of Jesus

Scripture Focus…

(26) “In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.”
(Romans 8:26 Amp.)

The following excerpt is taken from Tongues: Beyond the Upper Room by Kenneth Hagin:

Taking Hold Together With Us in Prayer

Dr. T.J. McCrossan, author of Bodily Healing and the Atonement, was a noted Greek scholar and university professor. He pointed out that the word “helpeth” in the phrase “likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities” actually comes from three different Greek root words. One root word means to take hold together; the second means with; and the third means against. So this phrase could literally read: “likewise the Spirit also taketh hold together with us against.” That means the Holy Spirit takes hold together with us in prayer against the obstacles and hindrances we encounter in life.

Let me give you an example in the natural to illustrate the scriptural word “helpeth.” Suppose I were standing on a church platform, and after the service I wanted the piano to be moved off the platform onto the sanctuary floor. I might tell the congregation, “I’d like eight of you men to please stay after we dismiss and help us move this piano down on the floor.”

What would I mean by the word “help” in this case? I’d mean, “We want you eight men to take hold together with us against the weight of that piano and set it down there on the floor.”

That’s what this word “helpeth” means in verse 26. The Holy Spirit helps us in our infirmities or our shortcomings in prayer. So if we don’t pray—if we don’t take hold first by starting to pray—the Holy Spirit doesn’t have anything to take hold together with us against, because His role is to help us move obstacles!

Continued Praying…

Lifting up those things by faith, those things are never going to be the same!
We water those seeds that have been sown by the people in this nation
What we sow we shall reap!
It is harvest time, for the souls, we call for a greater number of souls to come forth
Declaring for a revival, for a shift, for a supernatural awakening!
Calling for a change in direction in Jesus’ name!
We will do our part in the place of prayer, and we will call those things not as though they were
Speaking and declaring over them by faith, and we call those things forth, and we will watch them come to pass!
Thank You, Father, for the peace that surpasses all understanding
We call for a calming down in the United States of America
The peace of God is covering every situation today!
Declaring for a change, for a revival, for an awakening!
Pleading the blood of Jesus from the north to the south, and from the east to the west
You have given us the mind of Christ, and we will live in Your peace!
Casting down every hindrance and limitation in Jesus’ name!
The blood of Jesus is opening doors of opportunity, for the Church to walk through
You have given us the authority to speak to mountains and to call them down and out!
We lift up that blood and we thank You for it!

A Word of the Lord came forth:

No, that is never going to be the same! That is never, ever going to be the same. And status quo cannot be stepped back into. It will never be the way it was yesterday. For yesterday is done and finished! But the days that lie ahead are the times and the days and the places where we lift up our heads and our eyes and worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Glory and keep ourselves in the cleft of the Rock. This church is never going back to the 1990s. We are not going back, but instead, we are moving ahead. As we yield to the King and give praise and honor to Him, He works through us for the days, weeks, and months to come, because they are all new! So we are not moving back into our old ways, or into our old places. We are moving ahead into more and more of the new ways, new plans, new authority, greater anointing in us as members of the King of Kings, children of the Most High! So we reach out ahead. And we keep our faces turned to the wind of the Spirit—listening, opening our ears, yielding to Him. And maybe a little bit further than what we might have yielded before. Yielding our hearts and seeing them opened to more and more for the future. For the Holy Spirit is moving and working inside each of us, helping us pray out mysteries that we don’t even know about. Hallelujah! America is not going back to the way it used to be. It never will be the way it was before. America with the Church rising up and declaring what it needs to declare and taking its place of glory and might will never be the same. But it shall be what God pre-ordained it to be: one nation under God, indivisible! Hallelujah! Let’s not keep our heads in the sand concerning the elections, but let’s lift up our eyes toward heaven and lift up those things that must take place in this nation! Hallelujah, thank You, Father.
