Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, May 21, 2021

Pastor Ray…

Good morning. It’s Friday. Thank you, Jesus. I just wanted to say before we start out, yesterday, not that I don’t have this every day, but I had an increase in expectation. Yesterday and today. I don’t know what will happen today or over the weekend, you know. No limits, right? No boundaries. We just know that He is our faithful, faithful, faithful Father and things are working out.

So let’s turn up our dial of expectation that whatever needs to be prayed out here and there, wherever you are. I know you’re there. I don’t know where you all are, but I know you’re there. And so this morning we expect. We expect that what we say will come to pass.

And I found something from Vicky Jamison about faith and calling the things that are not as though they are. So we’ll use our expectation, be believing we’ll receive. We’re giving, but we shall receive. It always works that way. In one hour, we can give and give and give for almost all of the hour, but guess what? We leave changed because what we sow, walla! We reap. All right. So we’re going to start with just lifting Him up. That’s the best of the best, best thing to do. So, Ms. Peg, please…

It’s your presence, Lord. It’s your touch? It’s the anointing we receive by faith. We receive a refreshing a renewing, a restoring … openings… new steps… here in your presence

Pastor Ray…

I heard this. I think you just heard it in your tongues: “a cure, a cure.” Somebody has been told there is no cure. There’s no cure for you. There’s nothing that we can do for you, but there is something that’s already been done and the battle against that was already won. So this morning in agreement with what the Word has said by faith, there is a cure for you. A fresh touch and a change, a renewing. I can just… I just sense it so strong. An absolute cure by those stripes that were taken then, and the blood that was shed and that blood that is working today right now, curing. Restoration today… a renewing.

And then I sensed this when you sang that… you know, whatever’s happening right now, things that you’re through. I had the sense that maybe someone thought, “well, you know what? I’m not really going through anything bad right now.” Thank you, Lord. But out in the future, everything may not always be just the way you’d like it to be. So in preparation for the days and the weeks and the months and the years to come, by faith we take the anointing today to walk out in supernatural strength. Beyond what we can do in our own strength. It’s not our strength, but it’s the power of the Holy Spirit who said in the Word “I will prepare a way for you before you get there.” For the blood, Oh the blood. Peg, sing about the blood just a little bit.

I want to break in just a couple of minutes here. If you’ve never heard of Vicki Jamison, she’s in heaven now. And her services were Holy Spirit supernaturally directed. And, this is just a copy of some things out of a book of hers, but she’s talking about a matter of faith. It’s a matter of our hearts. He changes our hearts. Sometimes we just think, “I’m going to just change my heart.” But we yield to Him and He changes our hearts. And a change of heart can give us an absolute new start. But a couple of things about faith. She said that Dwight Moody once said that faith that fizzles in the finish had a flaw in the beginning. There was something not quite right. To be an effective Christian in today’s world, we need a positive, working faith. One that won’t let us down when we need it most. It’s one thing to be cruising, you know. And it’s another thing to get to that place of need, where we need our faith to work. One that won’t fizzle in the finish. What kind of faith is the right kind of faith. Where do we get it? Hebrews 11:1, we read perhaps the best known and best loved scripture in the Bible concerning faith. “Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This same verse in the Amplified reads, “Now faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed of things we hope for being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality, faith perceiving as real.” A real fact what is not revealed to the senses. I read this this morning. It did something. That’s why I wanted to go through this. Just a few things.

“Faith has nothing to do with all of our five senses. It doesn’t depend on what we hear, see, touch, taste, or smell. It does not depend on it. It operates in a different realm altogether. And faith is the evidence of things we do not yet see. We know the truth of what the Word says, but we haven’t seen it in the natural. The conviction of their reality, faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to our senses. We can’t see it. We can’t hear it. We can’t touch it. How do we get this faith in the first place? We already have a measure of faith, for the Bible says God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. That’s in Romans 12. We have to have that measure of faith just to be saved. “For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It’s a gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast.” But we are responsible for developing that faith. We begin to grow in the Lord from that moment on. But without faith, it’s impossible to please Him. There’s only one way to develop our faith and that’s through the Word of God. So that faith then cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You can pray all day for faith.” She had such a revelation of faith. We spend time with her, Sandy and I did. I wished I had taken advantage of more time.

Phil Halvorson, one of his great responsibilities before he left earth was to cover her and the ministry that she had. Just keep praying over her and for her ministry. So you can plead, you can beg, you can try to use the power of positive thinking. And you might have some results, but unless your faith is in God and in His Word, you are going to run into obstacles. Nor can your faith be in what I believe or in what someone else believes. Faith is the assurance or the confirmation or the title deed of things we hope for being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality. Faith then is the conviction of something real.”

I’m just going to skip over this one thing. She quoted this man Harold Cornhobber (?). He said that God didn’t just sit there and tremble and say, “Well, I hope there will be light.” Right? No. “I hope it’ll work. I’m not sure that it will work. I hope it will work. What if it doesn’t work? I’m sure going to look foolish in front of all these things angels.” No. God said “Light be.” This in a nutshell is faith. Real faith is faith in the same God of creation that same God who can speak in light exists, that same God who can speak and the world exists.”

Now I want to just read this testimony that she quoted from brother Kenneth Hagin. It’s just a few paragraphs. So it’s an awesome testimony. I know this is going to help someone somewhere.

“I’m reminded of a mother who brought her child to one of Kenneth Hagin’s services for prayer. The child was paralyzed. Her legs were in braces all the time. Without the braces, her legs would dangle uncontrollably. As brother Hagin laid his hands on this child and prayed for her, he felt the anointing of God. And many times I too can feel this anointing in my hands. However, I don’t depend on whether I feel it or not. I depend on God’s Word.”

That’s good. Isn’t it? “Well, I don’t know if I really felt anything being a receiver or a giver. That’s our senses. Sometimes we do, of course, like here. He could sense that the anointing went into that child.

“Anytime I begin to rely upon what I feel in my hands, sometimes I just get over into Satan’s territory. God will sometimes allow us to feel this or sense this anointing in our hands, but we cannot go by what we feel, for then we are in the sense realm. And that is not where we contact God. We touch God in the realm of our spirit. Although brother Hagin felt the anointing of God as he prayed for this little paralyzed child, there was no apparent change. Her condition was the same. When the mother took the child home and got her ready for bed, there was no change. She took off the braces and those legs just dangled. Next morning when she got up, she saw that the child’s legs were no different. She put her in the tub to bathe her and as she looked at her lifeless leg, she began to cry.” Tears rolled down her cheeks as she said, “Oh God, why didn’t you heal my baby? Lord don’t you know what will happen to my child unless you heal her? Why didn’t you heal her, Lord?” I believed the only hope for the child as far as man was concerned was for some kind of surgery. Surgeons would have to weld the bone from the hip down to the ankle and still she would be stiff legged and would have to walk with crutches all their life. The Lord spoke to her spirit and said, “Do you believe that brother Hagin is a liar?” He told you according to the Word of God that the child was healed. By the stripes of Jesus, that child is healed. Brother Hagin felt the anointing go from his hands into that child as he laid hands on her. Do you think brother Hagin is a liar.” She said, “No, Lord. I don’t.”

Then she began to understand what faith truly is. Faith didn’t see those paralyzed legs. Faith said, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe I received last night. I believe I received it. This is what she’s she got. I believed I received it last night. She began to thank God that by the stripes that Jesus took, her child was healed. She said, I just thank you, Lord, that it’s done. I thank you by the stripes of Jesus my child is well. I thank you that the Word says my child is healed. I thank you that the anointing of the Holy Spirit…

Thank you for the anointing today… for your anointing, for your refreshing, for your fresh touch to be received by faith this morning. Thank you that the anointing of the Holy Spirit for healing that was operating through brother Hagin has healed my child. I thank you. She just kept on thanking Him. Instantly the legs snapped into place and became straight. Suddenly as she moved out of “Oh God, don’t you know… can’t you see… why is my child not healed?” When she said, “I thank you, Lord, that it’s done. I thank you that by the stripes of Jesus, my child is well. I thank you that the anointing of the Holy Spirit for healing that was operating through him has healed my child,” instantly the legs snapped into place and became straight. That morning she took the child to Kenneth Hagin’s morning service and that child ran up and down the church aisle completely healed.

Hallelujah! Oh, let’s not beg. Let’s believe. This is Vicky Jamison again: This is what faith is; perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. I can’t see it. I didn’t hear anything. I don’t feel anything, you know? It wasn’t the child’s faith that healed her. Her mother had authority over her, just as you have your authority over your children. You have authority over your family until they become accountable unto God and have as much knowledge of Him as you do. You have authority over your child, and you can believe for that child’s healing yourself. Your faith can operate for him. Faith can say, “I believe the Word of God and by His stripes, my child is healed.”

I just know that’s for someone. I just know it. I know it. I know it. I know it. We receive it. We join our faith together. We come in agreement right now this morning for those impossibilities to just like that little child instantly her legs were healed and made whole. Suddenly! That mother would never have known what healing was had she kept looking at the girl’s paralyzed legs and believed what her senses told her. For everything she observed said… you know how that is. The enemy will speak. The symptoms will speak. The senses will speak. Everything that she observed said that the child wasn’t healed, but she listened to the voice of God. She believed perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Hallelujah!

Peg, go back just a little bit. You started singing out a healing. You just started. I don’t even know how that happened, but just for the… there’s liberty … there’s power. The anointing is resident. The anointing is here now to bring about what was done back on the cross, those stripes. Before that the stripes that He took brought about … the Word says so. We believe, we believe, we believe, I believe it.
