I found something I wanted to go over, a very familiar scripture: Philippians 4:13. There is commentary on this from E.W. Kenyon. He’s intense. The verse says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This is from a book (The Power of Your Words) that he co-authored with Don Gossett. The book is all about what we say, our words and how important they are. He kind of gets on our case about the things we have said. I looked up this scripture in the Passion: “I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.” I love it!
Now I’ll read it from the Message translation: “I’m glad in God, far happier than you would ever guess—happy that you’re again showing such strong concern for me. Not that you ever quit praying and thinking about me. You just had no chance to show it. Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. I don’t mean that your help didn’t mean a lot to me—it did. It was a beautiful thing that you came alongside me in my troubles” (vv. 10–14).
I like the way he said that. No matter what. I like how the Passion stated that he has is trained in a secret overwhelming way knowing that it will all work out. But if we don’t say it’s going to all work out, if we say “I don’t know if this is every going to work out.” That’s what this book talks about.
“You become one of those who can do all things, anything that He wishes done. His command means that His ability goes with the command.”
Pastor Ray interjected:
So we got the command and we have His ability. It works.
“Don’t imprison yourself with negations and “I cant’s.” Break absolutely free from the past that has mold and rot around it. Come into a new present, a new day, with the ability of God backing you.
Sing it: “God is at work within me. God and I can put it over. The Spirit of reality is making the things real in my heart.”
Say it over and over again and your whole being will be flooded with light. The Word will become a living thing in your lips and you will be able to pray with the consciousness that you are reaching the throne, and that you are getting the thing for which you are praying.
Don’t wait for a better education or more training, use what you have now.
Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, mastering everything that you undertake. Have a positive testimony. Let it be your daily confession that “My God does supply every need of mine” … financially, spiritually, intellectually.
Let the world know that He has blessed you with every spiritual blessing right now, and that you are enjoying a present tense contact with Him.
Ephesians 3:20 is yours. “He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
Pastor Ray interjected…
Here’s where he kind of gets on our case.
Let God loose in you. He has been imprisoned. You have made Him a little God, when He is the Creator God.
You have robbed Him of His initiative. You have silenced Him when He would speak.
You have held to your own weakness and failure, when His strength was awaiting your command.
You have talked failure. You have talked sickness. You have talked negatively when you should have been positive.
You should have said firmly, “I know in whom I have put my truest. I know He is able, with exceeding ability to make me a success.” I have the ability of God within me.”
SAY IT OUT LOUD. SAY IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Psalm 23, “Jehovah is now my shepherd. I do not want. He is leading me into the riches of His grace, into the fullness of His blessing.”
Psalm 27:1, “Jehovah is my light and my salvation; who shall I fear, Jehovah is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?”
Jehovah there is Jesus. The Lord of whom He is speaking is the One who gave Himself up for you.
He loves you now and longs to put you over and make you a success. He is, right now, your present help. It makes no difference what your environment is, what your troubles are. He is bigger.
It doesn’t make any difference what your limitations are or what the disease in your body is, or your lack of money.
God is in the room there with you now. He is there with His Omnipotence. He is there with His perfect wisdom. He is there with healing and victory for you. Thank Him for it. Tell Him that you are glad He is with you.
John 14:23, “If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
He is there with you now.
Give Him a place, honor Him. Thank Him for His presence. Thank Him for His ability. Thank Him that you are done with past failures, that you are living now in the light of victory.
Pastor Ray continued…
What happened to the past? It’s over. You know those old moldy ways? Those old days? And sometimes the further away they get, we forget that they were not exactly great days. And we’ve stepped into the new and God is working on our behalf in this room.
I heard this statement. You cannot step from A to Z. You have to step from A to B and then you’ll take the step to C. You make progress as we pray. Then we see things. Then we walk into new. Those things were prayed about days, weeks, and sometimes years before. I believe we’re walking in other people’s prayers.
Prayed…
Thank You for Your Word… we receive by faith a refreshing from heaven… we come before You and thank You for the blood of Jesus… we pray over keys that will open to us the future days that are to come… times to come… thank You for those keys that are being formed today… Your mercies are new …
The best is yet to come. The days that are over are finished. But the best is still yet to come for you and for me. And the presence of God has been given as a way maker and we know that the word is working in us and through us all the time. So by faith we receive that by faith, that the best is still yet to come. We’ve not reached the best days of our lives. The best are yet to come. The future is bright and things will continually work out right. Wherever there needs to be an alteration or a change, it shall be done just when it’s needed. We take that for our country. We believe that the United States of America, the best days are yet to come. We’re not moving down. We’re moving up. And better days and better ways are yet to come for America. So we lift up our leaders, our President, all those around him, his family, we bring them before heaven today. Thank you for doors of opportunity for each of them to go through for wisdom, understanding, and revelation from heaven.
Hasten, Lord, to perform Your Word… that which You have declared, Lord… hasten to bring it forth… maker of heaven and earth… let Your Word be true and every man a liar… for You have set before us… a table, a feast in the presence of our enemies… teach us, show us how to partake of that which has been provided by the blood of Jesus Christ… to step into those places, Father, that we have only heard of… those places we have dreamed of… in You… we call out for change today… change in Your body… change in their minds… change in their focus… yes, that purpose on the inside would come forth… that God-give purpose… would come forth in Jesus’ name… for such a time as this… Father, You said it would be greater than the former days… You said the days that we would walk in and experience would be greater than the things we read about in revivals of the past… we’re calling for that now in Jesus’ name… we need it now… we need that move now, Father… show us how to step into that place… how to access that place… open our eyes so we can see the steps to take… the way to go… where we’re flowing completely with Your Spirit… that we’re not moved by the things of this world… we’re moved by Your Spirit… draw us into that place of fire… that place where you burn out everything that doesn’t belong… the fire of the Holy Ghost… make it plain… unto us… You said Your yoke is easy, Your burden is light… Lord, let us walk in the knowledge of that in Jesus’ name… let us experience that place in the rest… where we can walk in the fullness of Your Spirit… grace, grace, grace… where every mountain is removed, cast into the sea… out of the way… everything that would limit that would hinder, Father, removed by the power of Your Spirit, by the anointing of God… removed… all division, any type of separation, schism, discord… we come against you in Jesus’ name and we say you will not prosper… in this body… we declare unity, peace, prosperity… one accord in one place… one mind, Father… complete devotion to You… we humble ourselves in Your presence… to your will to your way to Your Word… we set aside our own ideas, plans and we look to You… we lift our eyes heavenward today… to obtain inspiration, everything that is required… complete cooperation… we bend to Your will… to Your way… pour out, pour out, pour out…
Prayer for Living Word…
let’s lift up the call for this church in Jesus’ name… there is a particular anointing… there is a particular calling… yes, yes, be numbered among them… we call you into this place… helpers, workers, seekers, in the name of Jesus, come and be numbered in this place… be numbered among them… we’re calling you in today… we’re calling all those gifts in today… and those that are here, stand up and be numbered… take your place… reach out and be numbered… stand up… “Here am I”… be counted… as one that participated in the move… as one that was working in the move… it’s a mandate… to take your place… get up and get into the race… quit holding back… let loose today in Jesus’ name, so that the grace of God can move upon you like never before… so you can receive visions… mighty God… ha, ha, for His grace is sufficient for this church… let your passion rise up in the people… let Your passion burn in their hearts… let that love rise up… let it burn… let it move, move, move… that we would obtain that place that You’ve called us to… yes, we’re on our way… but it’s time to pick up the pace… with confidence… that He’s leading you, guiding you… be confident and trust in Him… that He will lead you in all your ways… He will not let you slip… fall… He will cause your enemies to fall at your feet… He will bring everything into order… a house of fire… I call this place a house of fire… thank You, Jesus… a house of fire… burning, burning, burning… in the name of Jesus… all the pastors, Father, full of the fire… everyone taking it up… all resistance gone… and a complete yielding… no more, no more… way out into the deep… yes, that’s where we belong… angels working with us… yes, yes, that corporate anointing…
