Prayed…

Thank You Father, thank You for Your beautiful and wonderful presence

We are so grateful and thankful that You manifest Yourself to us

You said that You would never leave us nor forsake us, and we thank You for that, Lord

Thank You that we get to live now, for such a time as this!

We are so blessed that we can come together freely in this nation, to worship and praise You

No, we do not take that for granted, but You have called us for a purpose and a plan!

We yield our hearts and our minds unto You, Father

Thank You for the precious blood of Jesus that keeps the destroyer back today!

That blood brings life and light into our hearts and into our lives

You have given us everything we need to be overcomers in this life!

Our hearts are expectant and filled with joy to see the outworking of Your manifestation of glory in the earth

The following prophecy was given by Brother Kenneth Hagin on July 8, 1989:

PROPHETIC UTTERANCE

That’s yet to be manifest.

There’s a glory that’s yet to be revealed.

There’s a power that is yet to be in operation. Hallelujah.

We’ve seen a little speck of it here and a little speck of it there.

And [tongues] satisfied to stay where you are.

Satisfied to stay where you are.

Satisfied to stay where you are.

Satisfied to stay where you are.

Satisfied to stay where you are.

Stir up yourself and be satisfied only with the dissatisfaction that has to be satisfied again and again.

Move on with Me, saith the Lord of hosts.

There’s a work that must be done.

There is a ministry that must be accomplished before the Coming of the Son of Man.

True the time of the end is at hand.

True on the horizon of time you see those things happening in the world.

Wars and rumors of wars.

And pestilence, and famines, and earthquakes in diver’s places.

Men’s hearts failing them for fear.

For looking after the things that are coming to pass upon the earth.

When you see these things begin to come to pass.

And certainly they have begun to come to pass.

Lift up your heads and rejoice.

For your redemption draweth nigh.

There’s a work, there’s a ministry that must be accomplished.

There’s an army that must ARISE!

And walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk in the realm of the Spirit.

Talk, talk, talk, talk in the power of the Spirit.

Minister, minister, minister with the manifestation of the Spirit.

Endowed, endued, with power from on High.

With the full equipment to stand in the office unto which you are called.

To speak as of the oracles of God.

To speak and devils will tremble.

To speak and nations will change.

To speak and cities, whole cities will change.

And the glory of God shall be in manifestation.

And your heart shall have much cause for rejoicing.

But prepare ye your hearts.

Lay aside every weight and the sin which does so easily beset you.

For they that bear the Ark of the Lord must be clean.

They must be pure.

Purify ye yourselves.

Yea, cleanse ye yourselves by stopping.

By refusing to walk further in sin and in wrong doing.

And then coming to the fountain filled with blood.

And be cleansed from the spots that have been left by the contamination of sin.

Persist in wrong doing.

Persist in sin.

And remember it is written not to sinners, though it may apply.

But it’s written to the Church.

To believers.

God’s not mocked.

Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap!

Walk on and the reaping day will come.

But judge yourself and it’s written you’ll not be judged.

Yea, I am preparing an army for these last days.

You have a part in that preparation.

There are leaders that I am preparing.

And He said unto me, “You must stand in the forefront to direct them and to lead them.”

And He’s saying unto you, “Will you be one?”

For there are not only officers in the army of the Lord.

But there are foot soldiers.

And every one is a soldier in the army of the Lord.

Hear ye, hear ye what the Spirit is saying unto the churches.

For these are the last days.

Blessed be Your holy name.

(conversation with the Lord)

I know that, I know that, I know that, yeah, I know that, OHHH yes.

l’m … Oh yes, yes, yes. I’m endeavoring to do so. Yes! But dear Father now, in this service tonight. I understand, I understand, I’m endeavoring to do so but it’s taking a little bit of time.

It’s written concerning the Holy Ghost, out of your innermost being shall flow rivers, not a river, but RIVERS! of living water. Different streams.

Before I can flow in that stream, dear Father, I’ll have to do some more changing.

I’m not, I’m not, I’m just not there yet.

I’m endeavoring to.

You know that. Yeah, Yeah.

I know that.

I know that, I depend on You to help me.

Yeah I know that. I know that.

Oh I know that.

Oh! Oh yeah! OK!

OK! Fine with me.

Fine with me I’m perfectly willing.

Yeah! UMMMM, UMMMM, UMMMMM, UMMMM, UM.

The following prophecy was given by Brother Kenneth Hagin.

INTERCESSION: The Forerunner of Revival

God said something to Israel through the prophet Isaiah which is very applicable to us in our present-day situation.

ISAIAH 64:7, And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, because of our iniquities.

Notice what is said in this verse: “There is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee … ” This implies that if someone had stirred himself up to pray and intercede and to call upon God, judgment on the nation of Israel could have been stayed! Let’s look at a similar statement made by Ezekiel.

EZEKIEL 22:30, And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Do you realize what these verses are saying? God looks for people of prayer to stand in the gap, make up the hedge, and to intercede so that their land can be spared. This explains why Paul exhorted Timothy as he did in First Timothy 2:1,2.

I TIMOTHY 2:1,2, I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men: For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

If prayer would not change the existing conditions in a nation and enable its citizens to lead a quiet and peaceable life, why would Paul tell Timothy to pray for the leaders of the nation? You see, God wants to intervene in the affairs of men—and He will do it for our sakes if we will only pray.

We often get a distorted view of God and the Bible because we only hear one side of the story. We look around us in the world and see what the Devil’s doing. Even Christians sometimes are so full of gloom. “The Devil’s going to take everything over,” they’ll say. “Everything’s going to the dogs.” I’ve heard some who were having problems with their children say, “You know, the Bible says that in the last days there’ll be disobedience to parents.”

“Yes,” I’ve said, “it also says in the last days the love of many will wax cold, but that doesn’t mean My love is going to wax cold. The Bible isn’t talking about Me when it says that. That doesn’t mean everyone’s going to the Devil. That doesn’t mean everyone’s children are going to disobey them—mine are not. Not everyone’s love will wax cold—mine will not.”

You can get over on that side, seeing things in that negative, gloomy perspective, and you’ll always have a gloomy story to tell. You’ll go to bed in the gloom, get up in the gloom, eat in the gloom, talk in the gloom — and there will be gloom and doom everywhere.

But no! There’s victory in Jesus! The Church is not going down the drain! The Church is going up in the sky!

In the Old Testament, we read in Genesis chapter 18 that God would not allow Sodom and Gomorrah to be destroyed until He first came down and talked it over with His blood covenant friend, Abraham.

I recall many years ago, someone supposedly got a revelation from God that a gigantic tidal wave was going to destroy the city of Houston, Texas. Several people asked me what I thought about it.

I said, “There’s nothing to it. God wouldn’t do a thing like that unless He told me about it. I don’t mind telling you, it’s not going to happen.” And, of course, it didn’t happen.

Folks get so fearful. Don’t you know, friends, we’re going to know what is about to happen? We are the body of Christ. Jesus is the head, and we’re His body. Just speaking naturally, does your head do anything without notifying your body? Well, neither does Jesus operate apart from His body, the Church. There are people of God living in this nation and in this world—real people of God. God will confirm something He is about to do with more than one individual.

I wouldn’t get all excited if someone said my town was going to be blown up tomorrow. Because if it were, God would have let me know about it.

Stop and think for a moment. We’ve got a better covenant than people living in Old Testament times. Hebrews 8:6 says that our covenant is built upon better promises. Yet even the Old Testament, God would not allow Sodom and Gomorrah to be destroyed until He’d talked it over with Abraham and told him what was going to happen.

We see that when Abraham became aware of the impending judgment upon the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah, he interceded for them.

GENESIS 18:23–25, “… Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do . . . Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

God said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” (Gen 18:26)

Then Abraham said, “Lord, I’d just like to speak a little further to you, if you don’t mind. (I’m putting this in my own words, but this is the essence of what was said.) If there are forty-five righteous people there, would you spare the place for forty-five?”

“Yes, I’ll do it, just because you asked Me. For forty-five righteous, I’ll spare the thousands who are there.”

“Lord, how about forty?”

“Yes, I’ll spare it.”

“Thirty?”

“I will not destroy Sodom if I find thirty there.”

“Twenty?”

“I will not destroy for twenty’s sake.”

Finally, Abraham asked God to spare Sodom for the sake of ten righteous people and God agreed to stay judgment if ten righteous were found. I believe Abraham surely thought there would be ten righteous there.

Think about that! God would have spared that city full of corruption and immorality for the sake of ten righteous people. Sodom was so corrupt that when the angels entered the city to rescue Lot, the entire male population tried to force their way into Lot’s home to have homosexual relations with the angels! While we do see corruption in our land today, it has not yet reached that low level. But God said for ten righteous people, He’d spare the entire city of Sodom.

We always brag about the fact that God never changes. He’s forever the same. Well, if that is true, will He not do in our day what He did in Abraham’s day? Will He not spare cities and nations today for the sake of His children who live in them? He will if we’ll intercede like Abraham did. He will if we’ll do what the Spirit of God said to do in First Timothy 2: 1,2 and intercede for our national leaders.

Why does God want us to intercede for our leaders and those in authority?

The answer is simple: “That we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (I Timothy 2:2)

Somebody has said, “You know God’s not going to bless a nation when there are dishonest people in government.”

As far as I can tell from history, none of the kings of Paul’s day were Christians yet Paul still instructed Timothy to pray for them. You see, God’s blessings can come to any nation if the people of God living there will be obedient to intercede for their leaders.

People always want to paint a dark picture, but there’s another side we need to see. Recent surveys have shown that there are more born-again people living in the United States today than there have ever been. There’s a move of God on!

Yes, there is sin and corruption in our country. I’m not denying that, nor am I saying that changes are not needed. But things are not going to change as long as we only talk on the negative side and complain about how the Devil’s taking over. We, the Church, need to do what the Bible says and intercede for our nation! Then, and only then, will we see things change!

Change does not come to a land by chance. Throughout history, intercession has been a forerunner to every great move of God. We, as the body of Christ, must pray and keep on praying so that revival can come to our land. We must keep on travailing in prayer until it comes.

Charles G. Finney, a revivalist who had the greatest success of any evangelist since the days of the apostle Paul, was a great exponent of prayer. A lady once asked him, “Do you know a man called Father Nash?”

He said, “I certainly do.” Father Nash was a man who went ahead of Finney to the towns where he was going to hold meetings. He would arrive several days early to pray and intercede for revival.

The lady who had asked the question owned a rooming house, and she related this story to Finney. “Three days ago, Father Nash and two other men rented rooms from me. I’ve been concerned about them. For three days they’ve been in their rooms. They haven’t eaten. They’ve only left to get a drink of water now and then. I heard them and looked in on them. They’ve been on their knees and faces just groaning and praying. I thought something had happened to them.”

Mr. Finney, a Presbyterian, said, “No, no. They’ve just got a spirit of intercession. They’re interceding for the city.”

Soon afterward, Mr. Finney held meetings in this particular town, and there was such a revival there that the entire city turned to God! Every single grog shop—we’d call them taverns or beer joints—closed down. Almost every person in the entire area was saved.

If Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever—and He is—can we not expect to get the same results today when we intercede for our cities and our nation? Instead of talking about how bad things are, why don’t we change things by praying and standing in the gap for our country? Our prayers of intercession can pave the way for the greatest revival our nation has ever known. Let’s stay before God until an outpouring of His Spirit sweeps across this land!

Scriptures to Pray for The President

Job 12:13–23 But only with God are perfect wisdom and might. He alone has true counsel and understanding. Behold, He tears down, and it cannot be built again. He shuts a man in and none can open. He withholds the waters, and the land dries up; again, He sends forth rains and they overwhelm the land or transform it. With Him are might and wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are His and in His power. He leads great and scheming counselors away stripped and barefoot and makes the judges fools in human estimation, by overthrowing their plans. He looses the fetters ordered by kings and has the waistcloth of a slave bound about their own loins. He leads away priests as spoil and men firmly seated He overturns. He deprives of speech those who are trusted and takes away the discernment and discretion of the aged. He pours contempt on princes and loosens the belt of the strong disabling them, bringing low the pride of the learned.

Job 42:2, I know that You can do all things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained or thwarted.

Ezra 5:1, 2, Now the prophets, Haggai and Zechariah, son-grandson of lddo, prophesied to the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, whose Spirit was upon them. Then rose up Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel – heir to the throne of Judah – and Jeshua son of Jozadak and began to build the house of God in Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of God, Haggai and Zechariah helping them.

Ezra 6:14–15, And the elders of the Jews built and prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of lddo. They finished their building as commanded by the God of Israel and by the decree of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes king of Persia. And this house was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

Psalm 37:1–9, We fret not because of evildoers, neither are we envious against those who work unrighteousness, that which is not upright or in right standing with God. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. We trust, lean on, rely on, and are confident in the Lord. We shall dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness and truly we shall be fed. And He will make our uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light and our justice and right standing as the shining sun of the noonday.

Psalm 75:6– 10, For not from the east or from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up. But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another. For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup of His wrath and the wine foams and is red, well mixed; and He pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink its dregs. But I will declare and rejoice forever; I will sin praises to the God of Jacob. All the horns of the ungodly will I cut off, says the Lord. But the horns of the uncompromisingly righteous shall be exalted.

Psalm 80:14– 18, Turn again, we beseech You, 0 God of hosts! Look down from heaven and see, visit and have regard for this vine! Protect and maintain the stock which Your right hand planted and the branch, the son that You have reared and made strong for Yourself. They have burned it with fire, it is cut down; may they perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself. Then will we not depart from You; revive us, give us life and we will call Your name.

Psalm 125, We trust in, lean on and confidently hope in the Lord and we are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands fast forever. As the mountains are around Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about us from this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the uncompromisingly righteous, lest the righteous, God’s people stretch forth their hands to iniquity and apostasy. Do good, O Lord, to those who are good and to those who are right with you and all people in their hearts. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways of indifference to God, You will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!

Proverbs 14:34, 35, uprightness and right standing with God, moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation elevate a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. The king’s favor is toward a wise and discreet servant, but his wrath is against him who does shamefully.

Proverbs 21:1, The King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as are the watercourses; He turns it whichever way He wills.

Proverbs 28:2, When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but when the ruler is a man of discernment, understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue.

Proverbs 29:2, 8, 12, 16, When the uncompromisingly righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh. Scoffers set a city afire inflaming the minds of the people, but wise men turn away wrath. If a ruler listens to falsehood, all his officials will become wicked. When the wicked are in authority, transgression increases, but the uncompromisingly righteous shall see the fall of the wicked.

Job 34:17–30, Is it possible that an enemy of right should govern? And will you condemn Him Who is just and mighty? [God] Who says to a king, You are worthless and vile, or to the princes and nobles, You are ungodly and evil? [God] is not partial to princes, nor does He regard the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of His hands. In a moment they die; even at midnight the people are shaken and pass away, and the mighty are taken away by no [human] hand. For [God’s] eyes are upon the ways of a man, and He sees all this steps. There is no darkness nor thick gloom where the evildoers may hide themselves. [God] sets before man no appointed time, that he should appear before [Him] in judgment. He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry [before a jury] and in ways past finding out and sets others in their stead. Therefore He takes knowledge of their works, and He overturns them in the night, so that they are crushed and destroyed. God strikes them down as wicked men in the open sight of beholders, because they turned aside from Him and would not consider or show regard for any of His ways, so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him, and He heard the cry of the afflicted. When He gives quietness (peace and security from oppression), who then can condemn? When He hides His face [withdrawing His favor and help], who then can behold Him [and make Him gracious], whether it be a nation or a man by himself? – That the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.
