Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, January 3, 2018

Pastor Ray…

When I came out of my office this morning, I had the word expansion come up. You can take that many different ways. It’s not because we ate too much (ha, ha, ha). It’s not that kind of expansion.

Ms. Annie…

We are expanding on the inside, increasing our capacity for God.

Scripture focus…

(1–13) The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one.
Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!—came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out. There once was a man, his name John, sent by God to point out the way to the Life-Light. He came to show everyone where to look, who to believe in. John was not himself the Light; he was there to show the way to the Light. The Life-Light was the real thing: Every person entering Life he brings into Light.” He was in the world, the world was there through him, and yet the world didn’t even notice. He came to his own people, but they didn’t want him. But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten.
(14) The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.
(15) John pointed him out and called, “This is the One! The One I told you was coming after me but in fact was ahead of me. He has always been ahead of me, has always had the first word.”
(16-18) We all live off his generous bounty, gift after gift after gift. We got the basics from Moses, and then this exuberant giving and receiving, This endless knowing and understanding—all this came through Jesus, the Messiah. No one has ever seen God, not so much as a glimpse. This one-of-a-kind God-Expression, who exists at the very heart of the Father, has made him plain as day.

(19-20) When Jews from Jerusalem sent a group of priests and officials to ask John who he was, he was completely honest. He didn’t evade the question. He told the plain truth: “I am not the Messiah.”
(21) They pressed him, “Who, then? Elijah?”
“I am not.”
“The Prophet?”
“No.”
(22) Exasperated, they said, “Who, then? We need an answer for those who sent us. Tell us something anything!—about yourself.”
(23) “I’m thunder in the desert: ‘Make the road straight for God!’ I’m doing what the prophet Isaiah preached.”
(24-25) Those sent to question him were from the Pharisee party. Now they had a question of their own: “If you’re neither the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet, why do you baptize?”
(26-27) John answered, “I only baptize using water. A person you don’t recognize has taken his stand in your midst. He comes after me, but he is not in second place to me. I’m not even worthy to hold his coat for him.”
28) These conversations took place in Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing at the time.

(29-31) The very next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and yelled out, “Here he is, God’s Passover Lamb! He forgives the sins of the world! This is the man I’ve been talking about, ‘the One who comes after me but is really ahead of me.’ I knew nothing about who he was—only this: that my task has been to get Israel ready to recognize him as the God-Revealer. That is why I came here baptizing with water, giving you a good bath and scrubbing sins from your life so you can get a fresh start with God.”
(32-34) John clinched his witness with this: “I watched the Spirit, like a dove flying down out of the sky, making himself at home in him. I repeat, I know nothing about him except this: The One who authorized me to baptize with water told me, ‘The One on whom you see the Spirit come down and stay, this One will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ That’s exactly what I saw happen, and I’m telling you, there’s no question about it: This is the Son of God.”

(35-36) The next day John was back at his post with two disciples, who were watching. He looked up, saw Jesus walking nearby, and said, “Here he is, God’s Passover Lamb.”
(37-38) The two disciples heard him and went after Jesus. Jesus looked over his shoulder and said to them, “What are you after?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”
(39) He replied, “Come along and see for yourself.” They came, saw where he was living, and ended up staying with him for the day. It was late afternoon when this happened.
(40-42) Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John’s witness and followed Jesus. The first thing he did after finding where Jesus lived was find his own brother, Simon, telling him, “We’ve found the Messiah” (that is, “Christ”). He immediately led him to Jesus. Jesus took one look up and said, “You’re John’s son, Simon? From now on your name is Cephas” (or Peter, which means “Rock”).
(43-44) The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. When he got there, he ran across Philip and said, “Come, follow me.” (Philip’s hometown was Bethsaida, the same as Andrew and Peter.)
(45-46) Philip went and found Nathanael and told him, “We’ve found the One Moses wrote of in the Law, the One preached by the prophets. It’s Jesus, Joseph’s son, the one from Nazareth!” Nathanael said, “Nazareth? You’ve got to be kidding.” But Philip said, “Come, see for yourself.”
(47) When Jesus saw him coming he said, “There’s a real Israelite, not a false bone in his body.”
(48) Nathanael said, “Where did you get that idea? You don’t know me.” Jesus answered, “One day, long before Philip called you here, I saw you under the fig tree.”
(49) Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi! You are the Son of God, the King of Israel!”
(50-51) Jesus said, “You’ve become a believer simply because I say I saw you one day sitting under the fig tree? You haven’t seen anything yet! Before this is over you’re going to see heaven open and God’s angels descending to the Son of Man and ascending again.” John 1 (MSG)

Prayed…

Think on that word “Expansion”
Expansion, increasing, momentum, expectation, deliverance
Wholeness, healing, wealth, strength
The anointing, the power of the Holy Spirit in us working on our behalf
Hallelujah, thank You, Father
For we have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and we testify continually about it
We’ve overcome because He overcame and through that blood we overcome today
And we have the authority because it’s been given unto each one of us
We declare “Expansion! Increase! Momentum!”
A furtherance in the things that God, not man, but God has called each one of us as His children
The power of the Holy Spirit working within us
Expand! Inside and outside in our believing
In the way we hear, in the way we speak
Of His Word coming up and coming through us
And declaring the things that are not as though they were
Calling those things that are in the way, out of the way!
Expanding our territories in Jesus’ name
Pulling up stakes that maybe they have bound us in, held us back
And pushing them out in Jesus’ name
For we as members of the body, children of the King of kings
Called to continually expand, increase, go further, go higher, go beyond
Get out of our minds and declare by the Word of God and through our spirit in faith the things that must be declared in these days that we are living in
Thank You for it, Lord, we don’t take it casually what You have done for us
But we do have expectation about what will come
Your goodness and Your mercy and Your kindness and Your grace
Ways we didn’t even know we had in us and words that we didn’t know we could speak
Thank You, Lord, for it today!
Your Word working within us causing prosperity in whatever we set our hands unto in Jesus’ name

Ms. Annie led us singing We Exalt Thee

Continued praying…

Father, we give You all of the praise and the honor and the glory and the thanksgiving
All glory goes to You
We know whatever we do, it comes from and through You
Over on the good side, over on the greater side
Momentum comes from You, expansion in what we do or say
And where we go, where we walk, what we touch, and put our hands unto it comes from You
Thank You, You are expanding our plans, You are expanding our expectation
Hallelujah, only You can do it
All of our trust, all of our hope we put it in You
We know You have not changed, You are still the same
We read it this morning – You are such a good, good, good Father
And Your Son great, great, great!
The name that is above every other name – Jesus be magnified and glorified
We expand our expectation about what comes through that precious holy name
When we declare it, things do not stay the same – they change
Change changes – hallelujah!

The following definitions for “Expansion” were found online:

1. Dilated or enlarged portion or form of a thing. Anything spread out, expanse.
2. An increase in economic industrial activity opposed to contraction.

Continued praying…

Father, in Jesus’ name, the finances that we maybe thought would come in 2017, we know they are on the way
And we will receive them in 2018
The things that need to come, the things that we’ve stood upon Your Word for
The things that we’ve expected even some things in 2017
We will hold fast to it, expand our expectation
It shall come, it shall unfold, it shall take place in 2018
Hallelujah! Glory to God!
An expansion even in our expectation
If we don’t expect it, we don’t believe it, we will not walk in it
Isn’t that right? Yes!

Even for our country we receive that – an expansion of expectation about our country going Your way
Moving more in Your plans and Your purposes for us
Our leaders we lift up from the president all the way down through
In our states, in our own state
The leaders in our own state and the changes that have been happening and turning
We declare “Minnesota is moving toward the right”
In the right way for God’s plan and purpose for Minnesota in Jesus’ name
We choose Your ways and Your wisdom for they are higher
The world’s wisdom is vanishing away and coming to nothing

Petition to the Lord About Our Enemies:

Your words, Lord, are pure words, and You will keep us and preserve us from this generation forever. Concerning the works of men, the word of Your lips keeps us from the path of the destroyer. Now arise, Lord, and confront those who oppose Your righteous ways. Confront them and cast them down.

With the merciful, you will show Yourself merciful, and with the pure, You will show Yourself pure. But with the devious, You will show Yourself shrewd, O God, the Lord. You will save the humble people, but You will bring down the haughty looks. They intended evil against You, Lord; they have devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore, You will make them turn their backs. They will gnash with their teeth and be grieved, and they will melt away. Because they do not regard Your work, O Lord, nor the operation of Your hands, You will destroy their plans and not build them up. You, Lord, bring the counsel of the ungodly to nothing, and you make the plans of the peoples of no effect. But Your counsel, O Lord, stands forever, and the plans of Your heart stand for all generations. We, Your people, are blessed, for our God is the Lord, and we are the people You have chosen for Your inheritance, by the holy, precious blood of Your Sin. Jesus, the anointed one.

We do not fret because of evildoers, Lord, and we are not envious of the workers of iniquity. But we trust in You, Lord, and do good. We dwell in the land, and we feed on Your faithfulness. The wicked may have drawn their bows to slay those of upright conduct, but their swords shall enter their own hearts, and their bows shall be broken. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but You, Lord, uphold the righteous. The transgressors against God shall be destroyed forever, and the future of the wicked shall be cut off. But our salvation comes from You, Lord, and You are our strength in the time of trouble.

You will help Your people and deliver them from the wicked. You will save Your people because Your people trust in You. For it was not by our own abilities or righteousness that we inherited Your promised blessings, nor did our own arm save us. But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored us, loved us, redeemed us, and desired to take a people to Yourself. You are our King, O God. Command victories for Your people. It is through You and Your name that we will push down Your enemies. In You, our God, we boast all the day long, and we praise Your name forever. You make the wars to cease and You break the bow. You cut the spear and burn the chariots with fire. You will be exalted in all the earth.

Though the mighty man may boast in evil, love lying, and devise destruction with his tongue, the goodness of our God endures continually. Our God will take the wicked plotters away and uproot them from the land of the living. God will hear our voices. He has redeemed our souls in peace from the battle that was against us. Our God awakens to help us, and He shall laugh at them and have them in derision. He scatters them by His power and He brings them down. For the sin of their mouths, and the words of their lips, He allows them to be taken in their own pride, and for the cursing and lying which they have spoken. They have loved cursing, so He allows them to wear it as a garment. But He will bless His people. He has given a banner to those who fear Him, that it may be displayed because of the truth.

Our God gives us help from trouble, and through our God, we will do valiantly. For the help of man is useless; but our God is He who will tread down our enemies. Our God hides us from the secret plots of the wicked, and from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity. He will shoot at them with an arrow of His Word, and they shall suddenly be wounded by His truth. He will make them stumble over their own tongue. All men shall fear and declare the work of our God, for they shall wisely consider His doing. It is good for us to draw near to God. We have put our trust in the Lord God, that we may declare all His works to this generation.

Lord, remember how the enemy has reproached You, and how a foolish people have blasphemed Your name. Do not forget the life of Your poor, Lord, but have respect and regard to Your covenant sworn in the blood of Jesus. For the dark places of the earth are filled with the habitations of cruelty. So arise, O Lord, and plead Your own cause, the cause of righteousness, justice, mercy, truth, and love. You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. Let the groaning of the prisoners come before You, Lord, and preserve those appointed to die. Return sevenfold the reproach of those who reproach You. And we will show forth Your praise to all generations.

Do not keep silent, O God. Do not hold Your peace and do not be still. For Your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate You have exalted themselves. They have taken crafty counsel against your people and consulted together against those You who live under Your covering blood. Let them be confounded and dismayed, let them be put to shame, that they may seek Your name, O Lord, that they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.

Shall the throne of iniquity which devises evil by law, have fellowship with You, our God? It is time for You to act, O God, for they have regarded Your law as void. They gather together against the life of the righteous and condemn innocent blood. But the Lord our God has brought on them their own iniquity, and He shall cut them off.

Let Your righteous judgments be in the earth, O God, for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the earth will learn righteousness. Judgment will return to Your holy righteousness, Lord, and all the upright in heart will follow it. The horn of Your holy Anointed One will be exalted with honor. The wicked will see it and be grieved. They will gnash with their teeth and melt away, for their desires against the mighty God will come to nothing and perish. For the scepter of wickedness will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.

Stretch forth Your hand from above, Lord, and rescue us out of great waters, out of the hands of those hostile to You, whose mouths speak lying words and whose right hands are hands of falsehood. You execute justice for the oppressed, Father God. You open the eyes of the blind. You raise up those who are bowed down. But the way of the wicked, You turn upside down! The way of the wicked is as deep darkness, and they do not know what causes them to stumble. They are caught in the cords of their own sin, and their own folly causes them to go astray and thwarts their plans. Your righteous children are delivered out of trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead. The hypocrites with their mouths seek to destroy. But the righteous, through knowledge of You, God, will be delivered. Those who oppose Your righteous cause, O Lord, are troubling their own house, and they will inherit the wind. But our tongues, the tongues of the righteous, are healing tongues, and our tongues promote health and wholeness. We put away from us a froward mouth, and we put contrary, unbelieving lips far from us.

Continued praying…

Now, Father, we take a stand on what Your Word has said
We stand upon the authority that You have given unto us
Over all of the falsehoods, all of the lies, the deceptive ways of the enemy
That are still trying to have their own ways out front here into 2018
Holding the blood of the Lamb and declare in Jesus’ name “Stop it!”
You will not be able to do what you were planning to do
You shall be uncovered, you shall be exposed and put to nothing in Jesus’ name
For no weapon formed against us will prosper
We declare that over our leaders politically and spiritually
The blood over our pastors – declaring Your Word is true over them
What they put their hands unto there is prosperity there
An expansion in and through them – our spiritual mom and father
They shall do what You have called them to do
There is no lack in them in Jesus’ name but a continual, continuation of new ways and steps
New territories – taking ground for You, Father, and moving out
This church is moving out – the walls are down
More and more and more are coming to You
Because of this expectation and expansion in Jesus’ name
Thank You, Father, Thank You, Lord
Everything that You have called us to do we shall do
What You called the school to do, they will do
Expansion in our finances, in the numbers that are coming in
Out of the darkness and into the light
More children coming into the school and into the light!
The best is yet to come
So we will step into the new, new territory!
We take new strength from You this morning
We watch over what we say
We’ll not say “We’re washed up” and “There is nothing we can do”
Not say “It’s our sickness” or “We’re in a poverty place”
No, we’ll declare “We are up and above in Jesus’ name”
Let the poor say “I am rich!”
Let the sick say “I am healed!”
For there is an end to some things that you have been believing to be ended
An end to it in Jesus’ name
As we stepped over and stepped into the new, a new year
Those old things have passed away – it’s over, it’s done, it’s finished
We are over into new territory
Over into new expectation and expansion in Jesus’ name!
So we roll over every care, every anxiety, every little touch of fear about how it will turn out
And know from heaven above that it shall turn out right!
For we walk in victory!
Every detail, every plan has been pre-planned, we step into it
And believe that we shall walk it out in Jesus’ name
Boundaries, we push out those boundaries!
Like a wall that would try to hold us back or hold us in
Taking up the blood!
Every limit get out of the way in Jesus’ name for the Church, not just this church but the whole body of Christ is coming through in victory!
We take our place, our territory, our realm
Our authority that has come from heaven
We apply and declare the blood this morning even in a new way
Declare the blood of Jesus over this day! This season!
That’s the help from heaven
That’s the power from heaven above
That’s the power of the Spirit!
For as it was declared this year 2018 – Year of the Holy Ghost and Fire!
New fire, greater fire, hotter fire
Thank You, Father
Busting out, busting through
Breakthroughs – things that we didn’t know about yet
Breakthroughs! Ooooohhh! Ooohhhh!
We contend for them, for those
For souls, for the laborers to go
For we pray over the laborers for breakthroughs in every arena, every area
Our cities are changing by the blood of the Lamb – hallelujah!
Thank You, thank You, thank You, Father
Glory, glory, glory
