Prayer Summary for Wednesday, April 18, 2018

Ms. Mary led us singing Send Your Fire, Send the Oil, the Wind, Rain

Prayed…

We receive the fire, the wind and the rain, filled with the Holy Ghost
But there is more, there is more fire, there is more wind, there is more rain, and there is more oil
And it’s on our side where it is up to us to expect to receive by faith more
So we don’t get to a place, come up against a situation where we have not the fire or the presence of God, the manifested presence or power, strength, anointing of the Holy Spirit working in us

Pastor Ray…

This weekend I like that Pastor Lynne shared what took place 40 years ago. A lot of it had to do with her hunger and thirst for more. She wouldn’t stop. She didn’t quit. She didn’t give up. She kept yearning and believing and really it’s expectation to believe and receive more.

Sandy’s mom before she was baptized in the Holy Spirit went from church to church to church. This is before people knew about Brother Hagin. There wasn’t a lot spoken about being filled maybe in this area anyway. So, we followed her to a lot of different places, the Baptist church, the Free church… What she was looking for was what the Bible said was true, that we could be baptized in the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues. She finally got to a point where she thought if the ones in the Bible had it and they got, I can have it and I can get it. So, she just asked to be baptized in the Holy Ghost in her house. And she was. She began to speak in other tongues. We thought, wow. Maybe we shouldn’t be following after her (ha, ha, ha). We thought she has gone in another realm. Well, that’s what I thought anyway. Sandy did go with her mom and eventually they found this little meeting in Golden Valley where Pastor Mac and Lynne had a Bible study. Eventually her mom started to bring her keyboard and she would do some music and Pastor Mac or Pastor Lynne would minister the Word. And then Sandy got filled with the Holy Ghost also. Then I was in serious trouble, in a good way (ha, ha, ha).

I am just saying she had that same thing. It was a hunger and a thirst for what the Word says that we can have and it is ours.

Scripture focus…

I indeed baptize you in (with) water because of repentance [that is, because of your changing your minds for the better, heartily amending your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins]. But He Who is coming after me is mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy or fit to take off or carry; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Matthew 3:11 (AMPC)

Pastor Ray…

You know when you are on fire, and you know when you are not. You know when other members of the body are on fire or they’re not. You can see it. You can sense it. You see then and say “well they are kind of fired up.” Well they are on fire, hello. And we noticed that over the years when we would go from church to church. There would be somebody there that would be on fire, and we didn’t know what it was or what that was. We just thought they were outgoing or something. But it was more than that.

I hated that there were storms on the weekend. That was the devil for sure, to hold people away from the services and cancel the service on Saturday. But many people came, and I said yesterday that I would like to just lay hands on anyone who wants more fire. Maybe you couldn’t be in the services but maybe you were in the service. That’s fine. I believe in more is more. I mean some of us on staff got in trouble years ago. Pastor Mac was doing a meeting for the staff and so he prayed for everyone and then a lot of us just went around and got in the line again (ha, ha, ha). He was like “Wait a minute. What are you doing up here?” Well, we wanted more.

Do you believe in that, too? I mean we have done that. I have done that for sure. There is always more.

Scripture focus…

For our God [is indeed] a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:29

John answered them all by saying, I baptize you with water; but He Who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of Whose sandals I am not fit to unfasten. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Luke 3:16 (AMPC)

…But He Who is coming after me is mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy or fit to take off or carry; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Matthew 3:11 (AMPC)

Who makes winds His messengers, flames of fire His ministers. Psalm 104:4 (AMPC)

I have come to cast fire upon the earth, and how I wish that it were already kindled! Luke 12:49 (AMPC)

Is not My word like fire [that consumes all that cannot endure the test]? says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks in pieces the rock [of most stubborn resistance]? Jeremiah 23:29 (AMPC)

And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them. Acts 2:3 (AMPC)

Pastor Ray…

Did anyone in the upper room leave without the fire? No. Everyone that was there, they were told to wait until the Holy Spirit comes. And the 120 that were left were the ones that waited and they stuck with it and they all received. If you just think that whole picture. The fire came but the fire divided up into 120 tongues of fire. Bam! Bam! Bam! Maybe we just don’t think about it. It’s with the fire of God that we are able to do things that we can’t do. It’s His fire, like the fire in the burning bush. It’s His fire, it’s consuming but it’s that fire that puts His power and strength within us enabling us just to be over the top spiritually speaking: speak things, do things, walk where we wouldn’t have walked, stay protected, stay in the right way, take the right steps, and move up from one degree of glory up into another. In Christian-dom, in the body, the cross, of course, represents that, that is true. Jesus died on the Cross but on the third day He rose. And so it’s the fire, the consuming fire of the Holy Spirit that enables us to live, to press through, to be strong in Him and do what He has called us to do.

Continued Praying…

More fire, individual fire for each one of us
To do what you have been called to do
Just like the 120, they were in that room – each one received individually
It wasn’t just one big blast of fire, there was a sound from heaven that was heard and it was so powerful but it was heard all over the city and the people came to see it
They heard the fire, they heard the wind
But those in the upper room received that fire individually giving them momentum to press on out to the streets first, begin to pray in other tongues in front of everyone
Hallelujah, thank You, Father, for it

Pastor Ray had everyone come up for laying on of hands with fire:
