Prayer Summary for Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Pastor Ray shared…

This thought just came up inside of me this morning. Our joy, internal happiness, doesn’t come just because someone else says something good about us. That can be joyful and happy. It’s good to lift other people up and be lifted up. But our joy comes from Him. He’s inside. I am sure we all have experienced when something good happens and it just lifts you up, brings some happiness to you. But then someone else could say something that would take you back down maybe even lower than you were if you were just looking to man’s words to make you be joyful.

We have been going to Living Word over 30 years now. Because of the way we were raised with our spiritual parents Pastor Mac and Lynne who were under the covering and their spiritual father Kenneth Hagin, we were trained not to look to either Pastor Mac or Pastor Lynne for our worth. We were called here and I am saying we always knew if we did what we were called to do… They set us free. It’s never been watched over for every single thing. If you were called to it, they knew it. They set you loose to do it to the best of your ability. The only times that maybe you’d know that you weren’t really measuring up, then maybe there would be a little word to you. This ministry has increased and increased, and we are where we are because of men and women that were called here and they are not just looking for a pat on the back to bring joy to them. They are looking to heaven from where all of our help and joy and peace and happiness come from.

I never ever, ever take it for granted that we have these opportunities corporately to join together in one accord and go to the King of kings and open up our spiritual ears and believe that we hear and believe to speak what He is telling us to speak. It’s such an honor and a privilege to come under the King of kings and Lord of lords and keep the Devil defeated, keep things moving in the right way because we have a call, we have an anointing, we are equipped, we are something in Him. Isn’t that right?

Before we were talking about Saul Alinsky; if you know who that is, he had written a book. He dedicated his book to the Devil. His desire when he left earth was to be in hell. He was looking forward to it. He wrote the book on radicalness, just coming against everything that we stand for, believe for, what the Word says. He had 13 tactics to come against God’s Word. He gave an interview where they asked him about God. He said, “Well I haven’t practiced but I will always consider myself a Jew but I am looking forward to going to hell and I’ll do some organizing.” He was the original community organizer. I didn’t mean to go into this but there are 13 tactics that he wrote about and people have used them. I hate to say this but President Obama was one. Hillary Clinton in college wrote a whole deal on that book. So when we think that things are just la-te-dah… no. The Devil has a plan. But the Church has to have a plan to come continually against the Devil’s plans and keep him where? …down under our feet, defeated.

Ms. Annie responded…

The Holy Ghost is also a community organizer. He organized this community that is here this morning. Whoo! He has been organizing a community since the book of Acts. The Church of Jesus Christ, no weapon formed against it will prosper. The Church is rising up. The Church is getting together. There are more of us than there are of them!

Ms. Annie led us singing The Love Chapter Song

♪ Love is not anger, love is not strife,
Love never hurts you, love never lies
Love is so patient, it’s so kind
Never remembers the wrong that you do

Love will cover a multitude of sin
It will cast out the fears that lie within
If you follow the way of love it will lift you, change you
Love with never ever fail you

Love is not fear, love is not blind
His love can find you deep down inside
Love is forgiveness, forever given
Ever given, given to you ♪

Scripture focus…

Way of Love
(1) If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
(2) If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.
(3–7) If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

(8–10) Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.
(11) When I was an infant at my mother’s breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.
(12) We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
(13) But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love. I Corinthians 13:1–13 (MSG)

Pastor Ray commented…

Are we loving extravagantly? That is over the top. That’s going all the way for someone else. It could be in our prayers.

Ms. Jeani shared…

So as you are singing and you are singing about love, you are singing about our God because God is love. He is the Alpha, the Omega, the author and the finisher of our faith but most importantly He is Love. That’s why love never fails and that’s why it’s the greatest of all things because it’s God. Isn’t that amazing that our God is love? He is actually love. So when we respond in love, we are responding in God.

Ms. Annie responded…

So if we are having a failure does that mean we are having a love failure because love never fails?

♪ Teach us to love one another
Just like You loved us
For the joy set before You, You went all the way
For the joy of knowing us, of saving us, You went all the way

For You are love, You are love
And You will never fail, You will never fail
For You are love poured out for us
Laid down for us and You will never fail ♪

Pastor Ray shared…

In my heart, one way that I could respond to His love through me would be to lay hands on each one of you for whatever it is that you need and have it be a prayer of agreement with you. That it would be just His love through us. When we were worshiping, I just kept looking at that cross, reminding myself of what He did through His Son. He loved us so much that He gave His Son.

Pastor Ray went around and laid hands of everyone

Prayed…
