Ms. Annie led us in worship and singing in the Spirit…

Prayed…

Press out and into
Be who I have called you to be and walk in what I have called you to walk in
I have called you to walk into
It’s the day to be real in Me

Pastor Ray shared…

I went over to Israel for a while and went in some places where He was, where He walked, and where He’ll come back in order to make Him more real in me. Not just a name but the name, the person of Jesus. Of course, here on this earth now in the person of the Holy Spirit who is living within us. I read this from I Peter 5 in the Message. First of all he’s talking about leaders in the church. We are all leaders. It’s not only for a select few. No, we are all leaders and we are all leading somebody one way or another. Amen.

Scripture focus…

(1-3) I have a special concern for you church leaders. I know what it’s like to be a leader, in on Christ’s sufferings as well as the coming glory. Here’s my concern: that you care for God’s flock with all the diligence of a shepherd. Not because you have to, but because you want to please God. Not calculating what you can get out of it, but acting spontaneously. Not bossily telling others what to do, but tenderly showing them the way.

(4-5) When God, who is the best shepherd of all, comes out in the open with his rule, he’ll see that you’ve done it right and commend you lavishly. And you who are younger must follow your leaders. But all of you, leaders and followers alike, are to be down to earth with each other, for—God has had it with the proud, but takes delight in just plain people.

(6-7) So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.

(8-11) Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does. I Peter 5:1–11 (MSG)

I like that part where we are not always content with who we are. Sometimes we want to be like somebody else. We have seen them. We know what they do and how God has moved through them. We want to be like them. But God put us here on this earth for this time to be who we are in Him. And that’s the way we fit together. We don’t fit together if we all are wanting to be like somebody else. In Him we should press on, push ahead, and be with every fiber of our being who He has called us to be. Let it rip and do what He has called us to do! I will just say it like that.

Continued praying…

We are gifted; we are anointed
In Him, we can do all things
In Christ, we are overcomers
We’re not the tail – we are the head!
We are not down under – we are up above!
Hallelujah
So we are continually looking up, reaching up, lifted up
To be whom He has created us to be
Thank You, Lord
Things are turning around
Things in the nation – they are turning around. It depends on what you put your eyes upon, what you listen to. But if you just listen in your heart and listen by the Spirit, you’ll know and you’ll see and you’ll hear. Things are turning!

Things are turning in the Church – in the body
As you continue to call forth and pray out, changes individually, corporately, ministry wise, the plans, the purposes that He has called you to, He’ll change it. He’s changing things right now as we sit in these pews. He’s changing things for us on our behalf and making a way where there was no way. His favor goes right on out before us. God’s glorious favor is working out before us so that when we get to that place, His favor has already operated there! Hallelujah! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Thank You, Father
For the ministry of Your Holy Spirit

Pastor Ray…

When Ms. Annie and Florence came in the back door this morning, they came in with some joy. I want to know what was happening on the other side of the doors.

Ms. Florence shared…

We just started by saying hello and the next thing you know we were having a meeting! Annie just wanted me to share about what had happened in Africa. I shared about my spiritual mom. Annie also shared about what she was going through.

Ms. Annie shared…

The scripture is coming to me now and I am realizing why we had so much joy. The scripture is in Matthew 5:1–12, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” I started getting encouraged as Florence was telling me about her spiritual mom who led her into the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the new birth and the things of the supernatural. And then she began to tell me about the persecution that this woman had experienced. And people say all kinds of things and there has just been a sadness in me lately, just about some persecution that had come against me. It’s minor. You know there are people getting crucified. There are people getting burned alive. This is nothing. But still it does bring you sadness when certain elements… you know it’s the Devil. They are saying and believing you are doing something evil.

Florence was able to tell me about her spiritual mom who has born such fruit. And here the fruit in one person which is Florence who came to America and now Florence is blessing all of us. But this woman had to stand against the same kind of stuff. Then we just started talking about something we had listened to Sunday from Brother Hagin’s teaching about the discerning of spirits. It took me back to his book on the gifts of the Spirit. And this phrase jumped out at me. He said “Some Christians think the discerning of spirits is discerning what’s wrong with everyone else.” And he said “If they would just turn that gift on themselves for five minutes they would never want to have it again.” It made me burst out laughing when I read that. The more we talked about this, the more joy came. So now I am realizing the reason we had so much joy is that Jesus said when you are persecuted, you are going to have joy! So I am realizing that His word just came to pass because we were just talking about how silly the Devil is. Well, anyway the way Brother Hagin put it this way “the Holy Spirit will never lead you to point out the faults of others. Instead He commands you not to look at that but He gives you by His Spirit the gentle gift of forbearance.” Oh, isn’t that beautiful. Galatians 5 reads “Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it].”

So the Devil always wants to hammer you and tell you that you are nothing and you shouldn’t be doing anything because you are terrible. It’s like you are right, I shouldn’t. You are right. Look at me. What am I? I am nothing. But the gentle gift of forbearance, we forbear with one another but then also we bear with those who persecute us. I just got so encouraged by Florence telling about this woman who mentored her, who has taken such persecution and is still being persecuted.

Ms. Florence shared…

As we came in and we started worshiping, I was in the spirit and this is what I saw. I saw this person standing on the water. It’s like when we have Christ in us, we are able to stand above whatever is persecuting us. But what the Lord was showing me is He turned my eyes again and I saw this same person was in a submarine. You can be under the water and the water will not afflict you in any way. And so the Lord is telling me, yes, we can stand above the circumstances because we have Him in us. But He wants us to go even deeper with Him. He wants to surround us as a submarine so that we can have all these things outside of us not affecting who we are and we can actually have a coffee inside the submarine. We can eat and drink and have fun. So you could have all these afflictions surrounding you because we are in the world but we are not of the world. And so He wants us to go deeper than just having Him in us. He wants to surround us with His glory so that we cannot be affected by what is around us.

Ms. Jeani responded…

And there is no pressure. You don’t experience the pressure of what is around you.

Ms. Florence…

Unless you allow it to come inside, unless you open a hatch. If you open a little door, it will come rushing in but don’t open the door. Just sit in and have a coffee (ha, ha, ha). So, that was just to encourage you, Annie. You can be surrounded and there is no way that some of those things will go away. But here is the beauty of it, we have Him in us and He is all around us. He wants you to want Him to be surrounding you with His glory. And when He does that, they will be out there and you’re safe in here. God is so good.

Ms. Annie…

And He has promised us joy. He has promised us joy and it’s coming to my mind that there is all these stories of people like John Wycliffe and others that were burned at the stake and things like that and they were singing. They were joyful. The Lord lifted them. He lifted them out of all of that. So in our light affliction which is but for a moment, it is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. And when I say affliction, I seriously have no affliction (ha, ha, ha). But the Devil just wants to take whatever little tiny pebble he is putting on you and you think you have the biggest boulder in the world. But anything that gets in the way of your joy, that’s a hindrance that we must resist. But Jesus said rejoice in that day and be exceedingly glad. But we weren’t even trying to be exceedingly glad. The more we talked about it, the more this joy just manifested. The joy just manifested. Amen.
