Prayer Summary for Tuesday, August 29, 2017

Pastor Ray shared…

One thing I read this morning and I read something about it yesterday that Pastor Joel Osteen was getting serious grief because he closed down his church in Texas over the weekend. The building was closed supposedly. So, all these people went ballistic because he only prayed for the city. He didn’t open his church, supposedly, for people that needed to have a place to go. But actually the truth was that he is surrounded by water. Some of his staff had to be rescued but there are maintenance people at the church and they will open the doors to anyone that wants to come. So, you read lies and then people will comment on the lies and they just go ballistic.

Prayed…

Father, I thank You that we have victory in You
For the covering of the blood over all of these people
All of the situation
We are in agreement that this thing will move out of there
And the rains will stop and restoration can begin in Jesus’ name
We hold that blood, we plead that blood
And pray that help is on its way for those that need help
Those that need to be brought out of there will be brought out in Jesus’ name
Thank You for all of the leadership
For the governor, lieutenant governor
For the president, the vice president
All those that are in positions of authority this morning
We pray they make wise decisions about what to do and when to do it
That the media would be stopped in their tracks as far as speaking words that are untrue
Looking for things that they can hammer the president on
Father, we cover all these things this morning with Your precious holy blood
Thank You for it Lord – today is a good day in Jesus’ name
Thank You that You have called us to this place
That You have given us this chapel where we can come and gather together and pray
Lift up our voices – thank You for the confession of our mouths
For Your Word that we stand on
We give You glory and honor and all of the praise in Jesus’ name

I wanted to read this from Herald of His Coming. It is a few points on what happens when we have a divine visitation of the Spirit of God. I want to just go over two of those points.

The following excerpt is taken from Herald of His Coming “Divine Visitations – Man’s Great Hope by Richard Owen Roberts:

1) Refocusing Occurs. The first thing is that in every divine visit there is a refocusing that instantly occurs. Things are out of focus today, not only in the church at large but in the lives even of some reading this. We get confused as to what are the real issues. I often address audiences on learning to distinguish what is merely a fruit and what is at its root. Often we get riled up and we fuss over a matter that is incidental, and we have failed to lay hold of the root of the issue. When the Sunrise from on high brings the light of truth to bear upon our situation, things come into focus.

Periodically the issue of Pharisees comes to my mind and heart. They had everything out of focus. They concerned themselves with the material, with personalities, with inconsequential issues. They seemed to find it impossible to focus on the things that God Himself focused upon. The church is pouring countless hours of energy and multiplied millions of dollars into things that simply don’t matter.
Oh, for a visit from on high where everything comes into focus. All of us need to ask in the integrity of our own hearts, am I in focus? Are the things that are on God’s heart on my heart? Are the messages that I deliver the very Word of God? Am I speaking from His heart through my heart to your heart, or am I simply reviewing matters of interest that might possibly have some significance?

In a series of meetings in upper New York State, I felt very clearly to give a series of messages on the man of God’s own choosing. I felt greatly burdened about the book of Malachi and spent a great many hours poring and praying over that book. The thing that laid hold of me was the issue of the burden of the Lord of which Malachi speaks. I’m asking you now, are you under the burden of the Lord, or is the burden you speak about your own burden? It is certainly possible for any of us to miss the burden of the Lord, and oh, how intense we must be in our study of Scripture to draw near to the heart of God so that what burdens Him is what burdens us and what powerfully impacts the church!

2) Holiness. The second issue that is always incredibly affected by a divine visitation is holiness. How have we managed to divorce holiness of life from imputed righteousness? How does one have the righteousness of Christ credited to his or her account and yet live without any regard for holiness? How can it be that nominalism is now called Christianity and Christianity, which is holiness unto the Lord, is regarded as fanaticism? Oh, for a divine visitation that brings the issue of holiness into focus in our lives so that we truly believe: “…Be holy; for I am holy…” (Lev. 11:44).

I plead with you, take seriously the issue of holiness. When God comes in one of these urgently-needed and marvelous visitations, holiness rises immediately to the fore. Isn’t it wonderful even to review those encounters of men in Scripture with a holy God when they cry out, “Woe is me! I am undone! I am a man of unclean lips and an impure heart! Depart from me! I am unworthy!” Oh, for another day when the horn of salvation will root the love of sin out of our hearts and the Sunrise from on high will so shine upon us that every speck of sin within us is brought into the light, and our repentance takes on depths and urgency long needed and finally, by the grace of God, accomplished!

Pastor Ray shared…

Someone gave me this older mini book. I can’t even remember the author right now but in it, this man relates to his inviting the Lord into His heart and describes some situations with the Lord as if the Lord is actually in his home. He said he was walking through his home. He, of course, invited Jesus into his heart so Jesus is in his house. So, he is walking by his library and he looks in and the Lord Jesus is sitting in there. He said “Oh, Master.” He looks around at all the books he has and then he looks on the walls and he sees the pictures or paintings he has and right away he said “I am sorry about that Lord. This place needs to have some cleaning out.” Jesus said “That’s fine. I will help you.”

It wasn’t like pornography or terrible things. They were things that maybe weren’t based on truth. And what the Lord told him was take everything out of here that is not based on the truth. Get these pictures out because they don’t bring you to Me. They don’t remind you of Me. And put here in this office a big picture of Me so when you come in, you will see Me and you don’t have to bring other things in. I just think that was so good. The whole little mini book was about having Him with him literally in his home. Hallelujah.

Continued praying…

Today because of all of the static, everything that wants to enter into our ear-gates, eye-gates, our thoughts and try and take us away from Your holy, holy presence.
We thank You for the covering and the cleansing and the washing of the Holy precious blood this morning for each one of us
We purpose, we desire, we want to, we will walk holy before You
Because of Your power and strength
Because of the anointing
And because of the cleansing, washing of that precious holy, holy blood
Thank You for the blood this morning

I was thinking about some of the words in that song “take my life, Lord…”
Lord, we give our lives over to You
We take this not just as a song but as a declaration
Holiness is what I long for
Holiness is what I need
Holiness is what You want for me
It’s pretty clear, I love it
Faithfulness is what I long for
Faithfulness is what I need
Faithfulness is what You want from me
Wow… to be faithful, to never quit, to keep on walking, keep on moving
To keep on the advance and moving up
To keep stepping up, to keep cleaned up
To continually be cleansed up, washed, holy
It’s what we long for, Lord
Take our lives today, we ask You
For a divine holy visitation
Not just for us, for the Church, for the body of Christ
That days would not be wasted, weeks, months or money wasted
But as the Church, members of the Church, we are asking You this morning
Take the Church! We are praying for a fresh holy visitation from heaven
Not something we can just muster up
But we can expect and we can ask and we can pray for that divine holy heavenly supernatural visit from heaven in the Church, on the Church and through the Church
Thank You, Lord, we don’t want to stay the same
We are thankful, grateful for what You have done in Jesus’ name on our behalf
You have given and given and given
Thank You, Father, we receive
But we want to live holy, live holy lives before You
Thank You, Father, for the power of Your Spirit coming upon us
Washing and cleaning us again and again by the blood
Thank You that that is a continual washing of the blood for each one of us
Thank You, thank You, thank You, Lord

Ms. Annie led us singing “Holiness Is What I Long For”

I want to pray Psalm 91 over the whole situation in Texas, Louisiana and then all of the United States.

(1) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
(2) I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!
(3) For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
(4) [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
(5) You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
(6) Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
(7) A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.
(8) Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
(9) Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
(10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.
(11) For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
(12) They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
(13) You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.
(14) Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].
(15) He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
(16) With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation. Psalm 91:1-16 (AMPC)

Your Word is a lamp under my feet and a light under my path
Your testimonies have I taken as an heritage forever
For they are the rejoicing of my heart
We have inclined our hearts to preform Your statues forever even to the end
You are our hiding place, our shield, our hope is in Your Word
Every evil doer depart from us that we may keep the commandments of our God
Hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying
The entrance and the unfolding of Your Words give light
Their unfolding gives understanding and discernment and comprehension to the simple
Establish my steps and direct them – thank You for doing that, Lord
By means of Your Word, let not any iniquity have dominion over us
Hallelujah – Your Word is pure, we love it
You are near, O Lord, nearer to us than our foes
And every Word, all the things that You have told us in Your Word is truth
You are truth, You are directing us and leading us into all truth
Your Word is a lamp, Your Word is showing us the way to go
Your Word is directing us in the plan, in the purpose
Thank You, Father, forever Your Word is settled in heaven
It stands firm as the heavens – Your faithfulness is from generation to generation
You’ve established the earth and it stands fast
We will never forget Your precepts, how can we!
For it by them, by Your Word that You have quickened us and granted us life
We are Yours, We are Yours
We receive understanding through Your Word
We hate every evil, false, wrong, lying, way
Thank You, Lord, we praise and worship You, Lord

Ms. Annie led us singing “We Will Exalt You”

We will shout in triumph at Your salvation and at Your victory
And in the name of our God, we will set up our banners
May the Lord fulfill all our petitions
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed
He will answer him from His holy heaven with a saving strength of His right hand
Some trust and boast in chariots and some of horses
But we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God
Hallelujah! Glory to God!
(Shout!!)
They are bowed down and fallen but we are risen and stand upright
Oh, Lord, give victory!
Let the king hear us when we call!
We are calling, heaven, angels – ministering spirits and telling them what to do
They want us to!

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
