While I was walking through the building, I heard this in my spirit. “It’s time to be led in everything that you do and practice being led by the Spirit. Don’t be concerned with trying to figure out why you were led to do it in that way.” Have you ever felt in your heart to turn a different direction, go on a different road? Little things like that. But you don’t know why He wanted you to do that. Then sometimes I think, “Why did I do that?” There are a lot of things that we do that we don’t know why we did it, especially when we’re led by the Spirit. He knows the future better than we do. But He said He would reveal unto us, show us things that are to come.

Yesterday in one of the prayer groups, Pastor Folu was talking about how to be led of the Spirit while ministering to the lost especially when they’re inside the Mall of America. When he got out of the car, there was a group of young people and his first internal thought was “They’re not going to be open. I’m just going to go inside.” But in his heart, he felt to stop. He said they were so respectful and every single one of them prayed with him to be saved. Then he told us how Pastor Nick was visiting someone at the hospital. He had hit the button for the elevator and the door opened. He looked over and there was a man by the elevator crying. He was like, “Elevator? or man crying?” Instead of getting in the elevator, he went to the man crying. He spoke with him and he got saved. Then the man brought Pastor Nick into the hospital room of his wife. There were four or five people in the room. All of them got saved too.

I heard this and I believe it’s true. When we pray outward, praying for others, we’re also laying the ground work, or preparing, for our plan to be walked out. When we’re praying for others, we’re one of the “others” too. We’re covering in prayer where we’re going.

I heard a story about when the Twin Towers were hit. A husband and his wife got a call from his father who lived in New York City. The father said, “I don’t know what I’m going to do but I have to go to the towers. I have to go.” His last words to his son were, “Take care of my grandson and raise him right. Goodbye.” That’s the last time they heard him. He died at the scene helping people get out. This man lost his father, and he wasn’t born again. So he was dealing with the fact that not only was he killed but he wasn’t born again. They were kind of upset with the Lord, at first. Years went by and they got a knock on their door. It was a lady. She said, “It’s so nice to meet you…” and she said his name. She knew who he was! She explained that she and her mother were trapped in one of the towers. A man came and somehow got her loosed. Before he left, she prayed with him to be born again. Guess who that was? It was this man’s father. So right at the end of the end, God saw fit to send a laborer that was trapped in the Twin Towers to pray for him.

We need to practice being led by the Spirit, being sure we lift up one another, pray for our families, keep the blood of the Lamb over our lives, our churches, our ministries, and missionaries… Just keep doing what we know to do. It’s so easy sometimes to slip back and be so concerned about ourselves when the Father wants to get us outward always.

Mary and I were just talking about that—prayers that go out. Not always praying inward for ourselves, but outward for others. Be led in everything. When we’re willing to be led, we’ll find that we will be led because He always wants to lead us. He said He would lead us, direct us into all truth.

I’m listening to you sharing how we’re to be led by our spirits and I’m playing the chords to Susan Fletcher’s song that aligns with what you’re saying. “I want to be filled with Your glory, lost in Your presence, swept away in the arms of Your love. Walk in Your Spirit, have divine visitation, and be yielded to Your will.” That’s what you were talking about. I used to tell the children in Children’s Church “We need to go upstairs.” That’s a good likeness to being in the spirit. Going up! Let’s go upstairs. When we go upstairs into the heavenlies, then He causes it all to work. And He shows us the great and mighty things to come. And we’re supposed to be walking “upstairs” all the time, on the holy road, the high road. But sometimes we get walking on the low road and then we’re frustrated because we don’t hear the Spirit or we’re down or something. But if we go “upstairs” with the Lord and let Him fill us and be “being filled” with the songs and hymns and spiritual songs making melody in our hearts to the Lord, then His burden is easy and His yoke is light. And then we’re led and sensitive when we’re walking in that place. If I ever get “the blues,” I go into the Psalms and start reading and declaring the Psalms, and that spirit of psalms and hymns and spiritual songs comes on me. Then being led is easy again.

I had my Bible opened to Psalm 92; “It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises with musical accompaniment. To Your name, O most high, to show forth Your loving kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night.” The way I look at that is God is showing forth His loving kindness to us when we’re lifting up thanksgiving to Him and then all the way through our day He’s showing His kindness and by the time we get to night, we see His faithfulness. He’s so good. The end part of that chapter says “The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. 13 Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure…” Verdure is a condition of health and vigor. “…[of trust, love, and contentment]. 15 [They are living memorials] to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”

It’s true about the Psalms. Let’s lift Him up a little bit more and we’ll see what else He wants us to do. That would be good if that’s all we did today is magnify our King and lift His name up and stir ourselves up in knowing that He said to us His Word and know that it is true and it shall come to pass.

I’m so thankful that I was brought up in the move of God where we sang the scripture songs. It’s a firm undergirding and it’s inside me. Today I was singing “in him we live and move and have our being” Remember that? “Make a joyful noise, sing unto the Lord, tell Him of your love and dance before Him.” Those words can permeate our being and when the Devil comes in, we have those words written on the tablet of our hearts. I’m thankful for those Word songs. They put the Word in us. If you are new to Christianity and you didn’t get in on that part of the move of God, then go into the Psalms and grab them for yourself. “Be being filled” with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody in your heart to the Lord. Take that Word and put a little tune to it and that Word will abide in you for the rest of your life. It abides in us.

♪ Thank You that Your word abides in us, Lord… We abide in Your and Your words abide in us… They are the pathway for our feet, O Lord… And they are a light unto our path, O God… Your Word is a light unto my path, O Lord… Hallelujah… ♪

And that Word comes up when we need it. We know we have the “rhema” of the Spirit. We know we have an abiding communion with Him. Sometimes He just uses the Word, just that Word rolls around inside you. One time I had a big ministry decision to make. It was big. There was a change in guard in a certain spot and everyone was leaving. I thought, “Wow, this is strange. Maybe I should check to see if God wants me to stay or if He wants me to go.” There wasn’t even one left. Were they following a man? I don’t know. Or it might have been a time for a changing of the guard. The Holy Ghost spoke and said, “What would love do?” I went, “Ohhh!” The lightbulb went on! BING! Love would stay and help. So I stayed and I helped. I was there for years afterwards with the changing of the guard because the Holy Ghost said, “What would love do?”

Prayed…

We lift up Your name, Lord
In Your name is all wisdom, Father
In Your name, is all power
Father, when we come to those “Y’s” in our pathway, in Your name is the right way to go
We praise You because Your Word says to give thanks unto You, Lord
So we thank You, Lord
We thank You for who You are
Thank You for Your promises, that You live inside of us
We lift up Your name
You started a good work in us and faithful to complete it in us
You are faithful to lead us and guide us

I was thinking about how we got here. Pastor Ray was sort of a hippie. I was a person that was fun loving. I vowed I would never drink because it ruined my family. And then I proceeded to drink. It’s amazing, you know, when you talk about being led. We talked about that last night in the service. “If you get somebody born again, you need to follow up and nobody follows up.” Guess who we have following up on us? The Holy Ghost! He’s the best follow-up person, and it’s amazing to me how we got to where we are. I didn’t want any responsibilities. My doctrine was “If it’s not fun, don’t do it.” I’ve changed so much over the years. It’s amazing how He has taken us to this place and how He’s put such a purpose in our lives. I always used to hear “God has a plan for you.” I’d hear that over and over again when I was a baby Christian. I’d go, “Really?” But we’ve come here being led of the Holy Ghost. His faithfulness has brought us to this place and such a plan He has for us to speak as the oracles of God, to make changes to the glory of God on the face of the earth by speaking. But we need to be filled all the time. Putting the Word into us.

Sandy spoke to a couple last night. They were members of Living Word and they became offended. They left. They went to check out some other churches. They went to a church and she said, “I like this one. I like the pastor. The music was good. I was comfortable.” She said in the middle of a service during worship, the Holy Spirit spoke to her and said, “This is not where you belong.” It was a revelation to her to get back to where she was called to be. So guess where she is? Back where she was called to be. Even though she said she was comfortable, but it wasn’t where she was called to be. She had to put aside the offense and return. If you’re not over it, the offense, just pray!

Jerre shared…

When I was at the point of the “Y” in the road and I had to make a decision which way I was going to go, I was offended. The Lord said, “Nothing is worth your anointing in prayer being stolen from you.” We here have had the greatest privilege to have men and women of God take us to places in the realm of the Spirit that other people have no clue of and if we let an offense come in, the lie of the enemy takes you out because of that offense. But you’re never, ever going to be satisfied again because you’ve been to a place in the realm of the Spirit. And true satisfaction comes from the realm of the spirit. You may not recognize it because the enemy has blinded your eyes, but it won’t be there like it was before. The satisfaction of the realm of the spirit. I’m not saying we have everything here. We don’t. But there have been “rooms” because of persistent prayer that we’ve entered into. Precious places. God has a plan for you! Ohhh! He said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” For all nations. I believe in Jesus’ name, I’m going to pray for the nations. What a plan and purpose we have. And it all goes back to being filled with God and being yielded to Him.

Mary shared…

When you said “the nations… praying for all nations”… He wants to touch and reach each person all across the world. He died for each and every person. He has His ways of reaching each person.

Prayer for the nations…

The souls of men, the multitudes across the earth
He’s the only one that can satisfy, can rescue
Across the lines
Soul travail, revive it in us, Lord
Reaching, reaching out boldly
In time, in time…
That Christ would be formed in them
Eyes open to see
Open, open, open the ways
Going into those places by every avenue
Entrance for the souls, Lord
The laborers
Turnabout, turn, turn, turn

I’m reminded of this lady that was a prayer leader here for years. Five years ago she went home to be with the Lord. We had a prayer room that had a huge world map on the wall. I visited her group once. What they would do is stand back and she would lead them and they would all start marching toward the world map. She would have no pre-plan about where she would place her hand, but wherever she placed her hand, BANG! Then they’d pray for that nation. I love that.

We need to be led in everything we do. Think about how we got to praying for the nations today. As Jerre was singing and sharing, that word “nations” jumped on Mary’s heart and it ministered to her and off we went! He continually leads us every day. His mercies are new every day.

Thank you for coming and tuning in today!
