Prayer Summary for October 23, 2014

Prayed…

Thank You, Father, that we can experience Your greatness and goodness
By the Holy Ghost, a further revelation of Your greatness is coming to the Church
The greatness and magnificence of God

The following excerpt is taken from Authority of the Believer by Kenneth E. Hagin

“The Divine Purpose of the Ages”

The “God of the whole earth” does not purpose to tolerate forever this rebellion against His righteousness. “I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear” (Isaiah 45:23). …

This purpose, present and future, is very definitely stated in Ephesians chapter 3:9–11. Here it is revealed as the divine will that “now (nun, the present time) unto the principalities and powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God” (3:10). The Church is to be God’s instrument in declaring to these rebellious and now usurping powers the divine purpose, and in administering their principalities after they have been unseated and cast down.

Scriptural focus…

Ephesians 3:8, “Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.” (KJV)

Shared the following Bible commentary about manifold…

Eph. 3:10 manifold, “From polus, “much,” and poikilos, “varied,” “many colored.” The word pictures God’s wisdom as much varied, with many shades, tints, hues, and colorful expression. As a God of variety, He is still entering the human arena displaying many-sided, multicolored, and much variegated wisdom to His people and through His people according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus.

We lift up believers You have placed and positioned all across this nation and the nations of the earth
We pray they exercise, implement, and display Your power
Declaring to the enemy that he will no longer operate in our government seats
Father, thank You for making us for what we ought to be
Thank Your for apprehending us for Your divine purpose
We lift up Your Word and pray that we would abide in it and You abide in us
We pray that Your Word would have free course in our lives
May it be no longer watered down, to be politically correct or acceptable to those that might take offense
We thank You that Your voice is being amplified into the ears of believers in this nation and across the world to assemble
May we listen and hear Your every word
Obedience to Your Word will be immediate, hiding Your scriptures in our hearts
We pray that the Church would no longer tolerate the slightest symptom of Satan’s vile encroachment
That we would hate those things which You hate—we love people but hate those things You hate
May we know You intimately and the power of Your resurrection
Father, we stand in agreement for a greater outpouring of the Spirit and a greater revelation

Shared the following Bible commentary on Manifest Presence of Christ…

Eph. 3:14–21 The Manifest Presence of Christ, PRAYER. Reformers like Calvin called Christian gatherings “Coram Deo”—“in the presence of God.” During the Great Awakenings, Puritans spoke of revival as “the manifest presence of Christ.” Prayer for revival is an invitation to this—to something wonderfully beyond God’s “essential presence” (that is He is always with us), and beyond His “cultivated” presence (that is, as the believer grows to know and walk with god daily). The apostle Paul prayed for believers to know that order of reformation or revival that brings about an intensification of the presence and power of Jesus Christ. In tis text’s prayer, Paul asked that the Holy Spirit deepen His work in their lives in three ways: 1) that Christ would dwell—more literally, “be at home”—in their hearts by faith, that is, that He would move from being an acquaintance to being the center of their church family; 2) that they would grasp God’s love at a spiritual level, beyond intellectual or theological knowledge, and 3) that they would be filled with God’s fullness, that is, that the Holy Spirit would revel the things of Christ (John 16) more fully, achieving God’s fuller work in each life—unhindered, unquenched, ungrieved.

Father, we pray that every believer would experience Your manifold presence in their lives
We acknowledge that we have not reached that which we have been apprehended for
We must have revival, an outpouring of Your Spirit, a great awakening in the Church of God
We look for it and we thank You for the great cooperation
Father, we know that it’s about harvest now through Your signs
Help us to press on with urgency and fire in our hearts
We lift up the multitudes, that they may be harvested
We must make adjustments in this time, being selective
We are not preparing for a manmade event, but we prepare daily for a work on earth for eternal purposes
We pray for all those in authority so we can lead godly and peaceful lives
We look for a supernatural change in the course of events regarding this nation coming up to the elections
We declare today the righteousness of God will prevail across this land
We declare the Word of the living God that you can do all things and no thought or purpose of Yours can be thwarted
You turn the hearts of the kings
We ask that You awaken the members of the Church to take up their rightful places in the affairs of men
We refuse to fret because of evil doers
We trust in You and are confident in You
We thank You that this nation is turning to the right and the righteousness of God
The people of God are standing upright to the true height of Your Word
We know You are not finished with this nation
You have a great, divine plan and we lift up every turn and adjustment, for this nation to humble itself
That Your magnificence and greatness will be seen even in a demonstration of how the outcome of these races come forth
As men and women declare to the enemy “Get off my governmental authorities”
We bind all lying and deceiving that would work in opposition to the Lord
We resist you, Satan, from encroaching any further in this nation
We take our place and take this nation once again for the glory of God
