Prayer Summary for October 22

The following excerpt is taken from The Authority of the Believer by John MacMillian:

The Practical Exercise of Authority

The believer has now accepted the place of exaltation with his Lord. There has opened for him a life of holiness in the presence of God, and of watchfulness in the presence of the enemy in a deeper sense than he has known before. His first lesson will be personal. He must learn the significance of the term “Satan” (the adversary) and come to understand why one of his titles is “accuser of the brethren” (Revelation 12:10). Just as Joshua (Zechariah 3:1), when he came to stand before the Angel of Jehovah, found “Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary” (ASV), so will the spiritually energetic child of God. He will encounter a constant stream of accusations in his own heart. These will trouble him until he discovers that the purpose of the enemy is to turn him in upon himself and, through the creating of a consciousness of personal unworthiness, draw him down from the place of perfect faith. He learns to “[overcome] him by the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 12: 11). That is to say, he presents the blood as his only answer to these accusations.

But he speedily learns a further use for this divine provision. The blood represents not only the cleansing from guilt and power of sin, but it is also the witness of that overwhelming victory gained at Calvary by virtue of which the Lord is now seated on high. Once this is grasped, the believer sees that he does not have to fight against the foe but simply to hold over him an already accomplished triumph, the authority of which he shares in the full. Not all at once the full vision comes, but as he holds his place and exercises his ministry, there will be a gradual perfecting in the heavenly warfare. It will be in his province, concerning the hosts of darkness, “to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron,” and, in that approaching day of full exaltation in the presence of the King, “to execute upon them the judgment written.” Oh, that all God’s people might come to an understanding of their high calling, for it is expressly stated: “This honor have all his saints” (Psalm 149:8–9).

Praying…

Father, we ask You to amplify Your voice in the ears of Your Church
Bring revelation to Your body concerning what is really necessary and what is not
We plead the blood over all pastors, teachers, apostles, prophets, and the evangelists
Thank You, Father, for all of them seeing and operating rightly and ceasing from their own labors
For mighty demonstrations of Your power; for the world to see and know that You are God!
We must come up into this place of power and authority; You have provided it for us
Thank You, Father, for Your mercy and grace in our time of need
For all of our members and parts—each one not lacking or falling behind in anything
We are calling for an awakening to the very DNA of the sons of God!
With all the rights and privileges to rule and reign in this life, making Your glory seen and known
Men no longer bound to some manmade idol or god of this world!
We speak to families to be alive unto God
Community churches to be vibrant and alive—becoming a help to the people
The body of Christ no longer abdicating its authority and rights because someone has deemed it not politically correct
Speaking with boldness, courage, compassion, love, and humility—we are carriers of Your presence wherever we go!
Affecting entire communities—transformation out of self-life; seeing things through Your eyes
Thank You, Father, for an awakening in the realm of prayer—conscious and cognizant of Your voice, doing and speaking as You direct
For entire cities saved and transformed by Your presence
Fresh anointing upon evangelists in Jesus’ name
Father, may we always be thinking in terms of eternity; considering those we come into contact with every day
Thank You, Father, for a great wakening in our nation; a divine invasion of Your Spirit into our government
Father, You have placed certain ones in our government; we plead the blood over them for strength to do what You have called them to do
Shaking out all apathy and lethargy and boldly they say “yes, I will take my place”
We joyfully are expecting that change to the rightness of God!
Father, it is only by Your mercy and grace that You could snatch every believer and put them in their places
No demon power or weapon formed against this nation will prosper in Jesus’ name
Thank You, Father, for a divine takeover within the realm of media—the truth must come through
In Jesus’ name, we speak a drying up of funds to those who are in opposition to the truth coming forth
Their evil strategies are cut off, declaring confusion to them
Father, we call for an outpouring of Your Spirit in our hospitals and clinics
We ask that You would strengthen those whom You have called to the medical field that they would operate in righteousness, boldness, and authority
Laying hands on the sick and they will recover—it’s part of the awakening
We lift up our military, pleading the blood over each member and their families
Declaring confusion must go and the wisdom of God, discernment, peace, and security over every rank and file
Loosing supernatural help from heaven
Men and women looking unto You, drawing strength from You
Pleading the blood of Jesus over our school system and declaring a divine invasion of Your Spirit
We loose angels to go to campuses and strengthen those who stand for You
That Your Word and Spirit would break forth in the prison system
Father, anoint the laborers and grant utterance in the Holy Ghost with signs following
We declare the blood of Jesus over all gangs—apprehend the leaders by Your love
Thank You, Father, for this nation—one nation under God
We plead the blood over our borders, and we do not allow sickness in
It is all because of the blood of Jesus that we are able to stand here today, Father
Thank You, Father, that our eyes are on You and they will not be drawn away
You are the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings; we worship and honor You always in the precious name of Jesus
