Scripture focus…

(2) Timothy 3 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
(1) But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].
(2) For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.
(3) [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.
(4) [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.
(5) For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them]. 2Timothy 3:1–5 (AMPC)

The following excerpt was taken from How to Find, Follow, Fulfill God’s Will by Andrew Wommack:

A friend of mine, Pastor Bob, has a daughter who hit her head in a car accident a number of years ago. Not long after the accident, she started getting a few headaches and a couple of years later she had a seizure. She was rushed to the hospital but the doctors said she was brain dead. They didn’t expect her to live through the day. She was on all sorts of life support equipment and it didn’t look good.

Soon the doctor told Pastor Bob that his daughter was dead and it was time to take her off the life support equipment. He didn’t get angry at what they said—he just told them that he was going to keep believing God. She has been under 24-hour care in their home for more than a decade now. The doctors still say that she’s brain dead, but she’s making progress.

Dealing with the long-term illness of a loved one tends to wear on people. At one of our ministers’ conferences, Pastor Bob was sitting up front. I was preaching on how we magnify the negative and aren’t appreciative for what we have and how we need to focus on the positive and glorify God. While I was talking, Pastor Bob stood up, threw his Bible on the floor and said, “I’ve had all of this I can take. I just have to thank God for how good things are.” He started praising, shouting, and glorifying the Lord. When the people in the room who knew his situation saw how thankful he was, they started hitting their knees and asking God to forgive them for being focused on insignificant problems. Pastor Bob is here if anything he can do for you. He lives his life for other people—you will never hear him complain.

In March 2000, Pastor Bob’s church—an $18 million facility was destroyed in 45 seconds when two tornadoes collided over it. A hundred people were in the building at the time and every single one of them was supernaturally protected. Within 30 minutes, CNN was broadcasting an interview with Pastor Bob. He was standing in front of the destroyed facility, wearing a hard hat and said, “God didn’t do this. The devil did this. But we’re going to come out of this better than before.”

On the following Sunday, the local newspapers went to the auditorium in which his church was holding temporary services, expecting to continue their report on the devastation caused by the church’s collapse. One reporter told them he was expecting to hear people cry and talk about what was lost, but instead the church members were acting as if they had won the lottery. People were running, jumping, and praising God because nobody was hurt during the tornadoes. They were also declaring how they were going to come out much better off than they were before this happened. Today, they have a facility twice as nice, plus a brand new building for their school with two gymnasiums—and everything is paid for!

Pastor Ray shared…

Is Pastor Bob just a special person? Pastor Bob got blessed but we can’t? No. But Pastor Bob, I love it, immediately he didn’t complain that his building was lost. He put his hard hat on, blamed the devil, and declared it will be better than it was before. That’s called restoration. Amen.

And each one of us, every single one of us, we can agree that it’s never over and we are never down under but we’ve been seated in heavenly places high above and it’s up to us individually, of course, to focus on what? The good. What has God done for me? For my family? For my church? For my country? And it just goes on and on. We have been raised up, trained up here at Living Word for sure with our pastors. I’ve never heard them ever claim defeat or speak words of defeat or just ball and squall. No matter what. The devil is crazy and the devil is fighting against the church, this church included but the devil has already lost and we won. How did we win? On the Cross at Calvary by the blood.

The Word tells us to have a thankful heart. There is absolutely so much good that comes out of lifting up our voices and giving thanks to the God in heaven for what He has already done. And all throughout the Word, we see how they focused in on, build a little marker or something, where God moved on their behalf. And every time they would go by, it would bring to their memory how God did it then and He’ll do it today.

Ms. Annie led us in worship…

We give You thanks for life’s greatest pleasure
Love beyond words
Peace beyond measure
In You we find eternities treasure
Surrendering it all to You

Being with You is what really matters
Knowing You’re near in sorrow and laughter
That’s why we’re here
That’s why we’ve gathered
Surrendering it all to You

Thank You for mercy so we may draw near
Thank You for perfect love casting out fear
Thank You for every intimate moment with you

We give You thanks for lives greatest pleasure
Love beyond words
Peace beyond measure
In You we find eternities treasure
Surrendering it all to You

Continued praying…

Thank You for Your presence in our lives
The highest treasure, the best of the best
Moments spent in Your presence
For the baptism of Your Spirit
Being filled up and up
Waters keep coming up and out
Divine words from heaven that put a stop to hindrances to Your plan
Thank You for the authority You have given Your body
You get all the glory and thanksgiving
You set us in this time, in these cities
Thank You, Father
For the changes we have already begun to see in our country
In the markets turning upward
Changes in America like never before
We repent where we have not been thankful
Not recognizing how good You have been to us
All our hope and trust is in You
We give up and in to Your will and ways
You turn where nothing else could bring change
Atmospheres being changed
Light from heaven showing us the things to come
We may not know all of the steps, details but we know that You are leading us
By Your Spirit, we yield in our spirit to Your directions and ways
Holding up our churches and pastors
Thankful that You sent them to this place
That they said “Yes, Lord, we will go. We will do what You called us to do”
Thousands and thousands of lives have been changed and are being changed because of that one time that they said “Yes, Lord”
We say “Yes” to You this morning, to Your absolute will and absolute plan
For us individually and corporately
Thank You for the safety of this church
Praying over ever change as we exit out of this year and into the new year
Many will move out into different ways and purposes and plans of God
Lifting each family, each person, every member of the staff
Pleading the blood over them
Praying for heaven’s plans in the name of Jesus
Just like Pastor Bob said “It will be better than it ever was before”
Thank You for the power of agreement
Agreeing as touching each one of their futures – better than it ever was in Jesus’ name
Husbands, wives, children, jobs, futures
Covering each one by the blood of Jesus today
New day, new ways, new plans, great favor, heaven’s favor
Making a way in the name of Jesus
Straighter ways, higher ways
You have met every need
For heaven’s prosperity – spirit, soul, and body
All of our needs met in the name of Jesus
Praying over the steps, new detail and positions
Promotions, not demotions
New platforms, greater positions, momentum
You are the great Way Maker
For the paths that have already been cleared up and cleared out
For transitions, changes from one way to another way
We focus on all of the good things
That victory was given on the Cross
Looked like a dark way but You show us the way and the steps
A bright way

Ms. Annie led us singing in tongues…

To give to My people, My chosen
To give to My people, My chosen
I make a way
I make a way

I make a way in the wilderness
I make a way in the wilderness
I make rivers flow in the dessert
I make rivers flow in the dessert
To give drink to My people, My chosen ones
I make a way
I make a way

Continued praying…

Thanking the Lord. You made a way where there was no way. You have done it over and over and over in our lives. You’ve made ways that we don’t even know about. Some day when we enter our heavenly home, we will know but today we are so grateful and thankful that You have made ways and those ways have already been cleared up and cleared out if we will just listen and obey. I felt I heard the Lord say “Just don’t assume everything will just be one way but stay strong in the word and call it that way.” But by the power of the blood and the name that is above every other name and standing on the word that He is making a way, made a way, staying true to that plan and saying “Yes, we will walk out that way.”

Ms. Annie led us singing “Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart”

Thank You, Father, that we would have soft hearts to yield and speak
Bringing about change in others
Thanksgiving this morning
For all of the good things that have taken place here
For all the people that say “Yes” to You all over the earth
That You sent Your son to the cross that we might not be lost
Applying that blood that we could walk out Your plan
For the touch of Your precious holy Spirit
For Your presence in everything we need to do
This morning that you are touching us a fresh from heaven
For peace that passes all understanding
That You loved us so much that You sent Your Son
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
For showing us the plan and purpose You have for each one of us
We give You all the honor, glory and praise Amen
Thank for everyone that has joined us, the supplies for sure
