Choose and Be Chosen

For many are called, but few are chosen.
Matthew 22:14

The last days—the days in which God promised to raise up His end-time army of pray-ers—are now upon us! We are living at this very moment on the edge of Jesus’ return!

The signs of it are everywhere. There are so many indications that He is coming soon that I can’t even begin to list them here. Yet, for the most part, the Church is ignorant of them. The majority of Christians are just going along living their own little lives, totally unaware that a divine invasion is at hand. They are totally unaware of the plans of God; therefore, they cannot pray about them.

But we don’t have to be that way.

God is offering us a place in His army of prayer. He is offering to show us things to come. He is giving us the opportunity to go out ahead as forerunners so we can pray out divine strategies and cut out a path for God’s purposes in these last days.

“How do I know if I’m called to be part of that army of prayer?” you may ask.

I dare say if you have a desire in your heart to do it, you can be sure you are called. But remember, Jesus said that not all who are called are chosen.

To be chosen, we must do more than recognize God’s call; we must choose to respond by going deeper in Him. We must choose (again and again) to draw near and fellowship with Him. We must put ourselves in a place where we can easily hear Him when He speaks to us.

Like Isaiah in the throne room, we must be the ones standing by when God says, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”

We must be close enough to answer, “Here am I! Send me.”

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 6:1–8

Prayed…

Lord, we thank You for this new day
We worship and magnify Your name today!
We pray over the positions of authority in the Church
You MUST rise up and take your place!
Speaking clarity to all decision making!
Many are watching and observing to see what you will do
Seeing us as a Body enter a room
We have two choices, two doors
Life and death are in the power of the tongue!
If you choose the door of life, better things are in store for you!
Lord, we choose the right way!
We come under the blood today!
Keep on running for the victory has already been won!
We thank You that today is a blessed day!

The remainder of Morning Prayer was spent in praising and worshiping the Lord!
