Prayer Summary for January 12

Give us wisdom in knowing which way to go, and knowing which way to flow, Father
Continually moving in that right way, we will follow that path You have set before us
In the name of Jesus we take authority over those lies of the enemy
There is power in Your name, Jesus!
We lift up that beautiful, precious, holy name of Jesus
Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the name of Jesus
Speaking that name before and around us
Sickness and depression has to bow to the name of Jesus
Clouds of darkness and despair must dissipate in Jesus’ name!
Poverty, be destroyed now!
Fear, be cast down, and hope rise up in the name of Jesus
Thank You, Father for wiping every tear from our eyes
All things are possible in Your name!
The bound are set free and are waking in victory!
In the name of Jesus, all the weak are made strong
There is no shame or condemnation in Your presence, Father
Crooked ways are being made straight, and paths are being cleared up
Hindrances be removed in the name of Jesus!
There will be 100% victory in the name that is above every other name!
Freedom, liberty, and victory are ours today!
Miracles, signs, and wonders are on the horizon
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!

A Word of the Lord came forth…

There is a climate change, but the change in the climate is in spiritual ways. A change and a rearranging in the spiritual climate has begun to take its place. It’s been loosed everywhere and every place. And the glory, My glory, will change every situation and every climate, where people are going this way and that way, and the wrong way—up, down, and around. But My glory shall change it all around, for it is a supernatural change in the climate. Heat and fire, remove obstacles now in Jesus’ name—worldwide in Jesus’ name!

Continued praying…

No, we will not quit, but we will contend all the way to the end
Continually praying and speaking in the spirit—the Rhema of the Spirit!
Impossibilities are being turned around
Paradigm shifts are beginning to take place today!
We will continue to walk out Your plans and purposes for our lives, Father
You have made a way where there seems to be no way!
By faith, we believe and expect for those things You have said to take place
Father, we thank You for unity in the body of Christ, today
You are the way, the truth, and the life
All hindrances, deceit, and strife are being removed!
Praying that Your favor would go before us and prepare the way
Your goodness and Your mercy are covering us today!
Praying that every position of authority would rise up and be united
No weapon formed against them would prosper in the name of Jesus!
Pleading the blood of Jesus over every believer
Today is a new day, and we call it blessed!

The following excerpt is taken from Tongues Beyond the Upper Room by Kenneth E. Hagin:

Five Common Misconceptions About Speaking in Tongues
1 Corinthians 14:14, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but MY UNDERSTANDING IS UNFRUITFUL.”

That word unknown is italicized in the King James Version of the Bible. This means it wasn’t in the original Scripture. The translators added it for clarity. The original manuscript said, “For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prayeth…” The translators added the word unknown to clarify that some tongues you speak may not be unknown to others, but it is unknown to you.

Paul specifically refers to tongues of men, which can mean foreign languages. He says, “Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels…”(1 Cor. 13:1). Most often we speak in heavenly languages when we speak divine secrets to God. But it is also possible to speak in the tongues of men.

Several American missionaries have told me similar testimonies. For example, sometimes in ministering the baptism in the Holy Spirit to people on the missions field, they’d hear them speak in English as their “unknown tongue.”

As I said, I’ve personally spoken a number of different languages of men as I was praying or giving a message in tongues. I didn’t know I was doing so at the time, but someone else understood what I said and told me afterward.

For instance, in 1954 I was holding a meeting in New Jersey for A.A. Swift, an old-time Pentecostal minister. Brother Swift was 72 years old at the time. He and his wife had gone to China in 1911 as missionaries. I ministered frequently in Brother Swift’s church, and whenever I spoke a message in tongues, he’d interpret.

Brother Swift had developed the gift of interpretation of tongues beyond anyone I’ve ever seen. In all my years of ministry, his interpretation of tongues was the most beautiful display of that gift I’ve ever witnessed.

You see, spiritual gifts can be developed through use. Certainly a person can develop his ministry as he learns to wait before God and yield to the Holy Spirit. And so it is with the gifts of the Spirit.

You can learn to be more yielded to the Spirit of God in the operation of spiritual gifts.

During that service at Brother Swift’s church, I gave a message in tongues, and I knew I was speaking some kind of oriental language. After the service, we went next door to the parsonage to have a bite to eat. As we sat there, Brother Swift said to his wife, “Mother, did you understand what Brother Hagin said when he spoke in Chinese tonight?”

Sister Swift replied, “Yes, I did.”

The couple sat there and talked back and forth to one another in Chinese for a few minutes. As I listened, I noticed a number of words I’d used when I spoke with tongues. Brother Swift said, “It’s been many years since we were there, but you spoke in a dialect of a nearby region, not a dialect where we lived. I understood about 50 percent of what you said.”

Well, I didn’t know I was speaking a Chinese dialect. I just knew I was yielding to the Holy Ghost as He gave me supernatural utterance in tongues!

It doesn’t make any difference whether you speak in a tongue that is a language of men or of angels. When you speak in other tongues, what matters is that you’re speaking an inspired utterance.

A Word of the Lord came forth…

For I have called you, and I have anointed you, and I have made a way for you, I have gathered you, I have asked you, I have prepared a way for you to step up another step into more of the new of Me, for you personally and for you together corporately as My body, saith The Lord. So I declare over you increase momentum, a greater empowerment, a fresh stirring, a new equipping, and a spirit of faith to enable you, to enable us, to walk through into what we could say is new, having never been here before. But we together prepare for that door, prepare for that way, prepare for those steps, to go into the new. When? Today will be the day. Who? We would be the people. When? Now, in these days. For new steps, new avenues, new ways, lay right out in front of you and in front of me. They have been prepared as you’ve prayed, as we prayed, as we prayed out in unknown tongues by the Spirit, as we used our heartfelt prayer, and did it with every fiber of our being, and meant it.  We can believe to continually receive instruction, direction, avenues, doors, rooms, further than we have ever gone before. I believe we are called to it now. For it is the glory, God’s glory, God’s presence consuming every one as He said to us in His Word. I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, the former and the latter rain—the rain from heaven, the empowerment of the Holy Ghost—to push out, to press out, to move into new territories. These are new ways, but they are absolutely necessary to move into.
