Prayer Summary for December 15

Prayed…

Thank You, Father, for You precious presence
We desire to rest in You
Knowing that it will all work out alright

Scripture focus…

(15) For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not,
(16) And you said, No! We will speed [our own course] on horses! Therefore you will speed [in flight from your enemies]! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds [doing our own way]! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift, [so swift that]
(17) One thousand of you will flee at the threat of one of them; at the threat of five you will flee till you are left like a beacon or a flagpole on the top of a mountain, and like a signal on a hill.
(18) And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! Isaiah 30:15–18 (AMPC)

(1) Oh, that You would rend the heavens and that You would come down, that the mountains might quake and flow down at Your presence—
(2) As when fire kindles the brushwood and the fire causes the waters to boil—to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!
(3) When You did terrible things which we did not expect, You came down; the mountains quaked at Your presence.
(4) For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him. Isaiah 64:1–4 (AMPC)

Now one other thing, I just wanted to quote this. I remember Pasty Cammentti saying this when she was here in the Chapel a few years ago for a prayer conference. She said the Lord told her “If you will give me one thing, I can change anything about you.” This is what He spoke to her heart. “If you give me one thing, I can change anything about you. I can change your mind. I can change your soul. I can change your body. I can change your finances. The one thing I need is the one thing that has been hardest for you to give and that’s your time.” So that’s what He is after, our time.

Continued praying…

Father, we purpose to spend time in Your presence, in Your Word, and discussing and praying what Your Word has said
Looking forward and not backwards
Staying in that place of absolute peace and rest
We are waiting on You Lord, trusting more and more in You
Not taking the cares but like You instructed, casting them on You
The future is bright because we are children of light
Strengthened with joy, yielding and trusting in You this morning

I had this in my spirit this morning, an alert for someone in ministry, a ministry leader. It just came up to plead the blood of the Lamb over them. We believe for the blood of the Lamb to be over this one or others in positions of authority, leaders. We plead the blood over them and their families against the plan of the enemy. Declaring no evil will have its way; no accidents, no accidents, no accidents in Jesus’ name. We pray in the name of Jesus for an absolute, total rest in You.

Seems like maybe things have come to a head, where things have come to a fork in the road and there has to be a turn one way or the other. So, we pray in the name of Jesus for the right way, for a Spirit of Seeing and a Spirit of Knowing to turn in the right way. For the future is hanging in the balance for the turn to be taken in the right way. And many others will be restored and many others will be changed because of this right turn. So, we are coming in the blood, pleading the blood over these ministry gifts. We stand with them, beside them and behind them in Jesus’ name. By faith this morning we lift up their arms, holding them up in the name of Jesus. We pray strength into them to hide in You, in Your presence. We don’t know who that might be but You brought them up, so we lift them up. Thank You for their protection today. Maybe they will not even know but Father, You know. Make a way for them for You are the Way Maker and the answers that must come will come in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Father.

Scripture focus…

(28) Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.
(29) He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].
(30) Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;
(31) But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Isaiah 40:28-31 (AMPC)

For each one of us I have such a sense of letting go, just letting go of every care and every anxiety and every question about how it will turn out, trusting in Him. Just taking that peace and that strength so just for about five minutes whatever comes up, give it up. But we are giving in and trusting in Him and it’s not just about right now, it’s our future, it’s what we’ve been called to do individually, corporately too. We will do it when we are trusting and resting in Him. Hallelujah.
