Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Prayed…

Father, we just lift up Your name, we behold You today
Thank You for Your goodness and Your mercy that You are showering upon us
Open our hearts that we may receive from You, Lord
We are here to receive from You and all that You want to do
Yes, we worship, honor, and reverence You; we boast in Your goodness
From the depths of our hearts, we worship, magnify Your name, Jesus
We welcome You, Holy Spirit, have Your way with us, Father
Rearrange us, deliver us, change us, deepen us, and heal us!
Resurrect our dreams and do the work only You can do and desire to do, Lord
No, we do not want to stay the same, but we want be more and more like You
Your Word says we are to go from glory to glory, from strength to strength
We lay aside every care, every burden, and we lay down our past!
Yes, we release some things today, and fill us with joy and peace today
Father, have Your way in this place, You are leading and moving in us
You are speaking to us, and we are responding to that call, Lord
We wait on You, we open our eyes and our ears to more of You
You are Jehovah, You are Almighty, You are all conquering!
Thank You that our perspective is changing, and changing for the better!

Scripture Focus…

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (6) If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. (7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
(John 15:5–7 KJV)

The Realms of the Spirit

Once you start learning to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, you will discover that prayer is a more magnificent occupation than you ever imagined. You will find it is not just the Holy Spirit helping you pray about the matters that concern you. It is you helping the Holy Spirit pray about the matters that concern Him.

The very concept staggers the imagination. If it were not in the Bible, it would be impossible to believe almighty God could possibly desire the aid and assistance of the likes of us – reborn creations though we are. Yet from cover to cover, the Word of God reveals that since the beginning when God gave man dominion over the earth, He has worked in partnership with men and women of faith and prayer.

Over and over in pages of scripture we hear Him say, “Ask! Ask of Me!” Behind those fervent admonitions is the loving heart of a Father who longs to pour out blessings upon the earth. Yet He restrains Himself. He has given the earth to mankind, and He will not usurp our authority. He waits to be invited.

Throughout the Old Testament, He always found a remnant who would do so; God-loving people who yielded themselves as servants and under the power of the Holy Spirit, prayed God’s will into the earth. But now He has something much greater. He has millions of born again men and women who are not just servants but sons with His own nature and His own Spirit living in their hearts.

Not Just Spectators—Participators!

My, how we have underestimated the call God has given us! The apostle Paul gives us a glimpse of it in 1 Corinthians 1:9 when he says, “God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We are not called to be forever spiritual infants constantly crying for our Father to do this and that for us. We are called to grow up and become participators and companions with Him, helping Him fulfill His purposes and intents for all eternity. That is what prayer is truly all about.

“Well, I can easily see how I need God, but I just don’t see how God could need me!”

Can’t you? Think about it for a moment. The Bible says the Holy Spirit is an intercessor. But how does He get that work of intercession done? Romans 8:26 tells us. He “goes to meet our supplication!”  He cannot pray unless we pray. He is dependent on us just as we are dependent on Him. And even as we have things in our lives we want to pray about, He has things He wants to pray about—whole realms of them!

The realms of the Holy Spirit are incredibly vast. They include not only this physical universe and all that is in it—from the leaders of nations to the baby bird in its nest; they also include dimensions of the Spirit no man has ever seen. They extend beyond the here and now, backward through the ages of time and forward through the eons of eternity.

Although it’s difficult to imagine what the Holy Spirit does with all those realms, the first chapter of Genesis gives us some insight. It says that in the beginning when the earth was without form and darkness was on the face of the deep, “the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (v. 2 KJV). The word moved actually means to hover like a mother hen hovers over her eggs.

The Holy Spirit’s desire as He hovered over this earth was to release His power and bring forth life according to the will of God. But He did not do so until God spoke. He did not split the darkness until He heard the Words, “Let there be light” (v. 3).

Today the Holy Spirit is still hovering over the realms of God. And today, just as in the beginning, He is waiting for someone to speak God’s words and will over those realms. He is waiting for us to ask in the name of Jesus. He is waiting for us to yield ourselves to Him in prayer and say, “Let there be light in the life of that lost soul! Let there be life for the dying one! Let God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”

But, for the most part, we have not done it. It’s not necessarily because we’ve been unwilling, it’s because we haven’t known about those realms—much less expected the Holy Spirit to reveal them to us. We’ve puttered around praying from our limited earthly perspective, totally unaware that if we would but release our faith, the Spirit of grace and supplication within us would open to us the eternal universe of God Himself.

Continued Praying…

Father, we thank You for Your Word, for Your faithfulness and we yield ourselves to You
Thank You that You are hoovering over us and over our situations
We release the hand and the glory of God to move and to reign upon our lives today
Windows of heaven, be opened up… passage ways, be opened up in Jesus’ name!
Thank You for transformation and change to come, Lord!
No, we will not stay in this place or live in the past, but we are coming up!
Calling ourselves to rise up, yield, and lean more and more into You
We are doing all that the Spirit of God has called us to do!
You are speaking, leading, and working in us today, Lord
No, we will not be discouraged, but we are encouraged
Angels and ministering spirits, go and work on our behalf in Jesus’ name!
He is making a way where there seems to be no other way
Give us eyes to see and ears to hear what You are speaking to us, Father
You are gently encouraging us with peace, hope, and expectation
Thank You, Lord, thank You, Jesus
It is going to be alright, for You have us in the palm of Your hand
Casting down all fear and anxiety, Father
