Prayer Summary for August 13

Scripture Focus…

14 “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,[c] 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
(Eph. 3:14–20 NKJV)

The following commentary to Ephesians 1:16–13 is taken from The Revival Study Bible:

Ephesians 1:16-23
A Revival of the call to intimacy.

Three things are required for the revival of the call to intimacy. One of those is found in this passage. A revival of the call to intimacy begins when brethren pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation, for the intimate knowing of Him to come upon their fellow saints. As this divine intervention occurs, the eyes of the believer’s heart are open and a revelation of the hope of this calling to intimacy is made known. Great frustration could be alleviated if we would know how to pray and believe for this aspect of revival.

The following commentary to Ephesians 3:19 is taken from The Revival Study Bible:

Ephesians 3:19
All teh fullness of God.

If we do not receive and come into a greater awareness of God’s love in order to be filled with His fullness, then we will not turn to Him so that times of refreshing may come from His presence (face) (Acts 3:19). Then we will duplicate the error of Israel in the wilderness—they could not enter (into the Promised Land) because of unbelief (Heb 3:19). Unbelief (lack of faith) comes because we do not know the love of God for us.
