Prayer Summary for April 21

Scripture focus…

Today we will be praying for boldness to declare the Word of God as the apostles did in the book of Acts.

(23) “And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. (29) And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, (30) by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. (31) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. (32) And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. (33) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. (34) Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,” Acts 4:23–34 (NKJV)

Their request for boldness and the power of healing resulted with an answer of boldness, miracles, signs and wonders, and the absence of lack.

Similarly, we see how Elijah obeyed the word he received from the Lord before the Lord provided further instruction. His was to deliver the word to the wicked King Ahab… that there will be no dew and rain these years but by the word of Elijah. This word put Elijah’s life on the line but he obeyed the Lord. King Ahab and Queen Jezebel had killed the Lord’s prophets and had installed 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the grove in their place. These prophets ate at Jezebel’s table. The only thing that made Elijah different from anyone else was the fact that God had spoken to him; he had a word from God. This word made him fearless in the presence of the world’s opposition.

Anyone with the Word of God is never inferior to those who do not have a word from the Lord. We have a word, or revelation, from God’s Word. It’s not the lack of God speaking that is the problem; it’s the lack of people realizing what they have in God’s Word and acting on it that is the problem today. Elijah took what the Lord had said to him and boldly spoke it when there wasn’t physical proof that it would come to pass.

We’re the ones who have the revelation of God’s Word. The problem is we just aren’t as bold about it as Elijah was. He had to obey that word before another word concerning his direction, provision, and protection was given. He had to go with what he had first before more could be given.

If the Lord has shown you any truth—spoken anything to you—then you have something that will ignite miracles. Will you be bold enough to act on that word and speak it? What is shown and what is spoken has the power to ignite miracles to the one who will be bold enough to act upon the word and speak it.

Prayed…

Father, we desire to make a difference in our community, state, country, and world
Thank You, for anointing us with boldness, to make a difference
That we would speak with authority—rising to a higher level of operation
Father, I thank You that the Word is near us, living and abiding forever!
Changing all circumstances wherever it is sent
Angelic access is granted through Your word spoken
Speaking the incorruptible word boldly
Changing the world by the words we speak!

“Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.” Jeremiah 5:14 (NKJV)

This is the Lord telling us what the Word of God is able to do. He says, is not My Word as a fire and as a hammer? This is the word that He has in your mouth. The word of God is incorruptible. It is living; it abides forever. It lives! The Word of God never returns void.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. 1Pe 1:23 (NKJV)

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isa 55:11 (KJV)

In regards to healing using the testimony of Anne who visited my office a couple of weeks ago with issues with hearing loss. Anne was completely deaf without the hearing aids and could not read lips. I told her she will no longer require those hearing aids and will have to sell them on ebay. When I asked her to remove the hearing aids—they buzzed—signifying she had set them at the highest volume in her ear canal in order to be able to hear through them.

I read the following scriptures to her, breaking them down as we read through the Scriptures. The word is the difference maker in our lives. I knew Jesus always taught before administering healing, so I proceeded to do the same in this case.

Jesus used His words to bring about healing to the sick. He spoke His word to correct the ailment, sickness, or malady. That is what it says in Matthew 8:16: He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick. Secondly, in Matthew 8:17, He took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses. If He took it, we do not have it. For example, if I give you my cell phone and you take it, do I still have it? No—you took it so I do not have it. Both of us cannot have what He already took.

She had said she had been through a healing line before, so I had to counter the natural unbelief due to the condition she suffered. I had to get her to see the supremacy of God’s Word over her condition—by the word of God. All she had to allow in her was the faith to counter the unbelief. I told Anne we were going to call forth her healing and told her to remove her hearing aid. Jesus did not tell us to pray for healing but to heal the sick using the Word.

Upon removing them, I asked her to close her eyes. I tested her ability to read lips when I asked her to close her eyes while she had the hearing aids on the table. She did not understand what I said. So I was sure she was completely deaf without them and could not read lips. I demonstrated closing my eyes by moving my hands over my face to indicate to her to close hers as we prayed.

After praying, I opened my eyes but Anne’s were still shut. I called out her name and she opened her eyes—she was completely made whole!

Those that desired healing came forward for prayer.

Thank You, Lord, for sending Your Word with boldness
That resurrection power abides in and through us
For destroying every yoke and setting us free in Jesus’ name, Amen
