The following excerpt is taken from Don’t Limit God by Andrew Wommack:

Imagination

We have to change the way we think. We need to study the Word and imagine the truths God has given us, until they paint a picture on the inside of us —until we see ourselves healthy, righteous, and full of peace and joy. We can never see anything happen on the outside unless we see it happen on the inside first!

Many of you are praying for big things to happen —restoration of your marriage, healing in your body, or prosperity in your finances. You are praying for these things, but you can’t see them—and it’s frustrating. But if you’ll just meditate on the Word and allow it to paint a picture on the inside of you, it will come to pass. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

Paul said “We walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). As a Christian, your imagination should paint such a real picture that you live by what the Word says more than you live by what you can see with your physical eyes. You can do that. You have God almighty living on the inside of you!

Are you picturing what God’s Word says about you? Can you see yourself healed? Can you see yourself prosperous? Can you see yourself doing the miracles Jesus did? If not, you need to meditate on the Word of God until you can see yourself doing these things. You need to change the way you see yourself. You need to see yourself as God sees you. You need to take the limits off and engage your imagination in order to see God’s will for your life come to pass.

Seeing on the Inside

Before I saw anything happen on the outside, I had to see them happen on the inside. Jesus said, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12). I began the process of seeing things on the inside by meditating on every scripture where Jesus healed somebody or raised somebody from the dead. Then I closed my Bible, shut my eyes, and saw myself raising Lazarus from the dead. I saw myself raising Jarius’ daughter from the dead. Everything Jesus did, I saw myself do. I pictured what it would look like when Jesus said, “Take ye away the stone” (John 11:39). I was engaging my imagination.

I began believing it was possible to see people raised form the dead after reading what Jesus said in the Gospel of John. This inspired me to believe that God would do miracles through me. I thought about all of the miracles Jesus performed and said, “Father, can I raise someone form the dead?” I meditated on this so much that I raised a dozen people from the dead every night in my dreams. I had dreams about going into morgues and emptying them out. After about six months, I actually saw a person raised from the dead with my physical eyes, but then ten or fifteen years went by before I saw this happen again. One day, I again felt inspired by God to start imagining people being raised from the dead, and pretty soon, I was dreaming about it again.

Then, one night I got a phone call that my own son had died. He had been dead for four-and-a-half hours when I received the call. I just started thanking God for His goodness and magnifying Him above the circumstances. By the time I arrived at the hospital, my son had come back to life – but it wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t been meditating on and imagining God’s “raising-from-the-dead” power!

Before you can see something happen on the outside, you have to see it on the inside. It has to become so real to you that you see yourself doing it. You won’t see the miracle power of God if you are defeated, discouraged, or depressed in your imagination. Stop limiting God with your imagination. Resurrect your imagination, and start using it in a positive way!

Prayed…

Your Word in us is alive and working on our behalf!
Every touch of discouragement and depression is moving out
We put a stop to those lies of the enemy
Father, we pray and speak over our own minds, hearts, and bodies
Your Word is working in and through us
Thank You, Lord, we worship You and are so thankful for that blood
Holy Spirit, You are welcome in this place
We choose to open our hearts and yield to You, Lord
Yes, we put all of our hope and trust in You
Fill us with Your Spirit and with Your presence
Give us the words to speak, Father
We will walk in the things that we say and pray!
Grant unto us wisdom and we give You the freedom to do all that You want to do
Casting down all of those that are working against the Word of God
No, those things will not come to pass in Jesus’ name
We plead the blood against those plans of the enemy
No weapon formed against us shall or will prosper
The blood of Jesus is covering the United States of America
Thank You for anointed words from heaven today, Lord
No, we are not trapped in those wicked ways, but we take our seat high above
We are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath
Those things are turning around, we call for paradigm shifts to take place today
Ministering spirits, go forth and work on behalf of the church
We pray over the body of Christ, no weapon formed against them shall prosper
Confessing those things by faith, we grab hold of it, and we will not let go of it
So much is at stake, and so many lives hang in the balance
We use the name that is above every other name — the name of Jesus
Declaring that Jesus is Lord over America!
Give our leaders eyes to see grant unto them the spirit of seeing and knowing!
We tread down all the power of the enemy in the name of Jesus!
Father, we bind every evil word that would try to come against our President

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Scripture Focus…

Why do the nations age, And the people plot a vain thing? (2) The kings of the earth set themselves

And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, (3) “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” (4) He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. (5) Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: (6) “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” (7) “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. (8) Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. (9) You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” (10) Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. (11) Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. (12) Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
(Psalms 2:1-12 NKJV)
