Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, September 9, 2020

Pastor Tim led us singing Your Goodness Is Running After Me

Pastor Tim…

I am just thinking about the goodness of the Lord this morning. I am so thankful His goodness, loving kindness, His mercies that are new every morning. I just want you to know He has new mercies for you this morning. His grace is sufficient for whatever you need, whatever you are going through.

The Bible defines grace as “supernatural empowerment of the Holy Ghost.” Isn’t it good to know that when we start our day with God, His empowerment, His authority, His strength, His peace, His joy—we have it, everything that we need. Thank You for that Lord.

Your grace is also defined as “undeserved, unmerited favor that surrounds us.” The Bible says that His favor surrounds us like a shield. It goes before us. It makes a way where there seems to be no way. It makes the crooked places straight. It makes the rough places plain and smooth. It will even make a way through the desert. He is our Waymaker. He can make a way where there absolutely seems to be no way. That’s our God and that’s the supply that He has made available to us.

Thank You, Father, for Your grace, that empowerment of Your Holy Spirit, that favor that surrounds us like a shield. Thank You, Father God, that we have favor with You and favor with man. We declare that over our lives this morning. Thank You for it, Lord.

I am thinking about this song. It’s a song we have sung over the years that talks about the goodness of our God. When we praise Him, I always like to start by thanking Him for who He is not just for what He’s done. God is good.

Not just because of what He’s done but because of who He is. He is a good Father.

Father, we thank and praise You for who You are and who You have been to us. You are good, faithful, loving, kind, generous, compassionate, forgiving, patient—longsuffering. Your character is impeccable. Without question You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You never change, and you are consistent, constant. Your love is unfailing, unconditional. You are good and You are worthy to be thanked this morning. You are worthy of our praise and our honor. You and You alone are worthy. There is no one like You, beside You. You are God, all by Yourself. You’re good.

Pastor Ray…

Hallelujah. You are our Waymaker, Lord.

There is something unique and different this morning. The notes and your words… I don’t know how to say it. We become one with what you are singing and saying. That’s how I feel.

When we think about how good He is… just like you said Pastor Tim, “Thank You for Who You are, Father” and that “We will love You through all of our days.” I get into those words. I know I am not explaining it exactly correct but they consume me.

The presence of the Holy Spirit will consume us and will change us into who He wants us to be; it lines us up with the plan He put in us. He did it. He’s doing it but He did it before we were even born. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

I am so glad and thankful that You are the Waymaker. We don’t have to work it out and make it be but we just come to You, before You, before heaven, heaven’s ways on earth in these days, as it is in heaven, right here in these days.

We need Your presence so much. We’re hungry. We’re thirsty. We yield our lives, our futures and know by faith in You, they are good. You are good.

Ms. Jeani…

Some of you might be wondering, “Do I love You, God?” Even from the time you got here, you were asking Him, “But do I even love You? How can I say I love You if I am not even sure if I do?” but He promised us that because He first loved us, we love Him.

All we have to do is just open up our hearts and pour out our hearts to Him and the worship comes, the love comes. Loving Him is effortless. Worshiping Him is effortless. We don’t do it. It’s only by drawing near to Him, we love Him. Because we can’t even love Him without His love. But with His love, we love Him.

So, rest assured. Open your heart to receive His love and… you love Him.

Pastor Ray…

He loved us so much that He sent His only Son for us individually. And that blood that was shed back then at Calvary, it’s working for us in these days. It works all the time. There is no time that the blood does not do what the blood did and the battle was won. It was finished and completely done. And the blood, it’s working for us, working on our behalf when we use it, when we truly trust in the power of the blood of Jesus.

Pastor Tim led us singing Nothing but the Blood of the Lamb…

Pastor Ray…

Sometimes we say thank You but it seems so… It’s just doesn’t seem to say what we really mean in our hearts when we say it. But we do say it because we are thankful.

The following excerpt was taken from Revival Fire by Wesley Duewel:

Finney urged the people to pray to God earnestly and expectantly for “the immediate outpouring of His Holy Spirit.” He told them that if they united in prayer, they would get God’s answer quicker than a letter could come from Albany, the state’s capital.

He was in New York at the time. And he said that if we just agree… today we would say, quicker than a tweet—and there is the answer.

Several men agreed to prove God in that way, and their prayer was answered just that quickly. Finney wrote, “Indeed the town was full of prayer. Go where you would, you heard the voice of prayer. Pass along the streets, and if two or three Christians happened to be together they were praying. Wherever they met they prayed. Wherever there was a  sinner unconverted, especially if he manifested any opposition, you would find some two or three brothers or sisters agreeing to make him a particular subject of prayer and it was very remarkable to see to what extent god would answer pray immediately.

After some twenty days, Finney went to Utica to attend a funeral. He found a godly lady who had been prevailing in prayer almost incessantly for two days and nights. One of the Presbyterian pastors asked him to come back to Utica to speak. He returned almost at once. “The Word took immediate effect, and the place became filled with the manifest influence of the Holy Spirit. Our meetings were crowded every night, and the work spread and went on powerfully.”

THE HOLINESS ZONE

The sheriff of Utica, a new convert, was a bachelor and boarded in a hotel. He began to pray for the hotel keeper. Soon the keeper, many of his family, and most of his boarders were converted. This hotel, the largest in town, became a center of holy influence in Utica. The stagecoaches always stopped there. A number of people who stopped for a meal or a night at the hotel were powerfully convicted and converted before they left the town. A divine influence seemed to pervade Utica and Rome during these revivals and turned the area into a zone of holiness. The same phenomenon was occurring along the whole eastern coast of the United States during the 1958 revival.

In the midst of the revival, the Oneida Presbytery met in Utica. An aged clergyman complained that everywhere he went in the town people talked about prayer and revival. He got up in the presbytery meeting and made a violent speech against the revival. That night many Christians prayed fervently that the revival not be hindered by the speech. In the morning this aged minister was found dead in his bed in the hotel.

Finney listed some striking characteristics of these revivals:

  1. The prevalence of a mighty Spirit of prevailing prayer
  2. Overwhelming conviction of sin.
  3. Sudden and powerful conversions to Christ
  4. Great love and abounding joy of the converts
  5. Intelligence and stability of the converts
  6. Their great earnestness, activity, and usefulness in their prayers and labors for others

Pastor Ray…

Isn’t that the whole concept, “for others.” Whatever we do, whatever we pray, it’s not just us. We are reaching out by the Holy Spirit, He reaches out through us. But the anointing. That is the anointing breaks the whole of the enemy, chains, everything that needs to be broken.

When I came in this morning, Pastor Tim was playing and I told the sound person, “Awww that sounds so good.” But it doesn’t just sound good. It’s anointed. It’s the anointing and each one of us have it. It’s not going to be taken away. We are anointed. I am anointed. You are anointed. It’s in us and wants to work through us. We believe for it. I believe. We’re not just saying it.

I believe You, Lord, for and increase, for more. I believe what You are doing right now on this earth is for such a time as this. We believe. We trust. We open our lives, our hearts, and bow before You.

Lord, we put our hope, our trust in You.

Pastor Tim…

I was thinking this morning about everything that Jesus did for us. Sometimes when we are going through difficult situations, those situations look so big to us. We start getting our eyes on those situations and sometimes doubt can creep in and the enemy starts to magnify fear. We have to shake ourselves and say, “God has done so much for us.”

He has proven Himself time and time again. When I think of the blood that was shed for us, what He went through to provide us for everything we need, how can we not help trust Him, believe Him. We need to esteem what Jesus did. All that He suffered, all that He did to provide us with our salvation, our healing, our deliverance, our peace, our joy, our provision, our protection. That’s why we can thank Him and we need to thank Him with all of our hearts and to really appreciate and esteem what Jesus did.

I am so thankful for the blood of Jesus. Where would we be without the blood.

Pastor Ray…

Remember that Holiness Zone that was all along the eastern coast of the United States? Let’s picture that in every state. We are in Minnesota. This is a Holiness Zone (Shouts of Joy). Let’s just believe.

Remember what Pastor Lynne said, she was asking in prayer for a right desire for souls. She asked, “How many souls should I pray for in Minneapolis?” And the Holy Spirit said, “All of the people, everyone.” There is no limit.

He knew where you were when you needed to be born again. He knew where I was and I needed to be born again. And the right person came into my life and her name was Sandy. Her first thing when we met, “Are you born again?” “Um, no I never heard of that.”

Souls, hearts changed, Spirit filled… I want that for the United States.

There is a sight you can go on that Pastor Lynne put up for praying for godly leaders in America. We are coming up on the election and seemingly the Devil is going crazy. But he has already lost, defeated. The site is called, electionprayer.us. You can go on and sign up and put your email in there.

Let the Holy Spirit show you how much time each week you can lift up our country. We are praying for godly leaders to be put in, those that have turned their backs so to speak on the things of God and tried to project their plan and future for America which is not what we agree for be put out.

We are one nation under God and we are indivisible. We can’t be divided up. So, we are praying for things to be healed up. And in a way, they are declaring for things to be torn up, just to put it bluntly.

We have got to pray for America. We get to pray for America. We have this prayer, confession for our nation and we have been praying before the last election.

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pastor Ray…

That would be the joy of the Lord. Maybe things have been shut up or shut down but in Jesus’ name, we pray for the joy of the Lord to begin to operate like never before and that will cause a supernatural strength in the body of Christ. We will not be behind in any good thing. All of Your promises are yes and amen!

Pastor Tim…

We are going to be faithful to the call, stand watch, stand guard.

Pastor Ray…

So, we watch, we speak, we pray. We declare things that maybe we have not seen in the natural. These things shall all come to pass, lives changing, states changing. The United States of America, we declare it again this morning, “Jesus is Lord over America.”

Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah. It’s good. For He’s good and His mercy endures forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and every. Hallelujah.

Time for today, this morning is up but we are up and we’re lifted as we lift Him. The joy of the Lord, it is our strength. We are full of it, full of strength. Thank You for tuning in. Thank You Holy Spirit, Your presence all throughout this day. Amen. Hallelujah!
