Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, September 28, 2022

Pastor Ken…

Good morning.

I’m calling today “# We Pray Wednesday.” How’s that? We pray Wednesday. The Bible says in Matthew 18:19, If any two or more of God’s people will ask and agree… y’all know it, right? Ask and agree concerning anything that it will be done for them by their Father in heaven. My goodness. What an opportunity! What a privilege to enter His presence and to co-labor with the God of heaven, with the one who flung the stars into existence and holds all things together and sustains all things by the word of His power. He has given us such a transformational tool in prayer. And as somebody once said, it would be foolish on our part to neglect such a profound and transformational tool. We have the opportunity to shift momentum in situations today, to redirect the trajectory of people’s lives, to bring something of heaven into the earth realm into situations, into nations, into churches, into lives, through the opportunity we get to pray.

Do you have a prayer need….

So it is, “We Pray Wednesday.” And so I want to just encourage us to lift each other up. If you’re online and you have a prayer need, there’s something going on that you’re struggling with, you’re frustrated with, you don’t know what to do about it, a decision perhaps you need to make, a course direction you need to make. Maybe you’re feeling alone, you’re grappling with an unprecedented situation or problem. You have symptoms in your body. Your mind is fritzing out and you’re struggling with negativity and hopelessness. Maybe some trauma. Then I just want to encourage you to in the chat, be sure to post your prayer request and our host will jump in there. There’s others in our prayer community that have regularly joined morning prayer, not only in the chapel but online for some time now. You have a supply of the Spirit.

We are empowered with authority to utter prayer…

We said of Katherine Kuhlman that her prayer life made it easy for others to receive their miracles. And so we as the body are called to be just that… a body… a people that have been assembled under the auspices of the name of Jesus and His kingdom, empowered with authority and ability and a mouth to utter prayer, to utter the promises of God. God knows, of course, the need in the situation before we even know we have a need or situation.

The Lord looks to us to engage with Him in prayer…

But the Bible says that the way He set things up, He still looks to us to engage with Him in prayer. To ask that you may receive that your joy may be full. And so, you know, we want to come together around you. We want to just tackle the enemy. Yeah, that’s the word… Tackle him. If one can put a thousand to flight, then two can put 10,000 to flight. You know that principle, right? And so God is rallying the church now to come together, to be unified because unity equals anointing. Unity equals multiplication exponentially, if you will, at multiplying God’s power for a situation. So post to your per request in the chat so that we can pray for you and others can jump in as well.

Mark 11:24, when you pray believe that you receive…

Let me just share a couple of references with you this morning, just as a reminder. Just as something that will kind of energize and stir and boost your faith. Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray believe that you receive them and you will have them.” I love that. Jesus Himself said that.

Never give up…

Luke 18:1 says one day Jesus told His disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. That’s a word for somebody this morning. Never give up. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Don’t focus or obsess about yesterday. There’s grace sufficient flowing to you today. His ability and might and anointing and grace is sufficient for you today to sustain you with one step at a time.

Devote yourself steadfastly to prayer…

Act 6:4 says, “But we will continue to devote ourselves steadfastly to prayer and the ministry of the Word.”

Ephesians 6:18 says, “Pray at all times on every occasion in every season in the spirit with all manner of prayer and entreaty. To that end, keep alert and watch with strong perseverance and purpose interceding on behalf of all saints, God’s consecrated people.”

My goodness. Just think what is possible and what would begin to happen if we would just begin to take it upon ourselves to pray for one another, to pray for our leaders, to inject ourselves into situations and pray over those situations. My goodness, the power that would be released.

Prayer is truly a fire starter…

I don’t mean like a negative forest fire kind of thing, but I mean a power of God, a glory of God, fire starting ignition point. That’s what prayer is.

1st Thess. 5:16 says, “Rejoice always and pray without ceasing.” I love this one.

I come back to this from time and time again because it’s such a sense of relevancy and urgency and timeliness to it. It’s found in 1st Peter 4:7. This is the Amplified version. It says, “But the end and culmination of all things has now come near. Keeps sound minded and self-restrained and alert, therefore, for the practice of prayer.

You fail when you stop praying…

Like, I don’t know what else to say after that. So the only way you can fail is if you stop praying. And as I said before, prayer is a no-lose proposition. And so that’s what we’re going to do this morning on this “We Pray Wednesday.” We’re going to yield ourselves over as instruments of heaven and God’s purposes. And let’s just see ourselves allowing Him to pour out and pour forth His purpose, power, potential, answers to us and through us today, maybe for us and those that are with us and our families and our churches, but also to the world.

Prayed…

Father, we just lift our hearts once again and we consecrate ourselves to you this morning. And we pray, Lord, that you would do just that. We yield ourselves over to you.

Oh, it’s time, Father… It’s time for that shift, Lord… it’s time now. We ring the doorbell, we sound the alarm. It’s time in Jesus’ name, for a shift to a occur. It’s time now for a shift in the momentum… a wholesale shift in the spiritual landscape in Jesus’ name …

Orders, orders. Yes. Let the orders come now. Let the assignments flow now. Let there be a dispatching of messaging, a dispatching of assignments, a dispatching of steps and mission.

We declare today that we’re going to mess up every plan of the enemy… that we’re coming for you, Devil, to mess up, to push back, to disrupt every work of darkness.

Father, we lift up the plan of God, your plan in the earth, your plan for Living Word, your plan for each and every church represented in this chapel and online today…

We declare disruption to the enemy’s plans, to the enemy’s deception and strategy.

We raise up a standard in our nation today against the forces of darkness, against the acceleration of what the enemy is trying to do.

I hear the word, “Operations.” We pray for operations today, Lord, to come online. Operations of the Spirit… assignments and operations of and by the Spirit … assignments of angels. We activate assignments now for angels. We activate assignments for pray-ers to pray for believers to act now for the church to move forward.

We pray for an infusion of activation and infusion of power and infusion… a burst of breath from heaven, igniting fresh fire, igniting fresh passion, igniting fresh potential, and moving the church all of a sudden forward and onward upwards. Individuals who feel stuck… pastors, leaders, pray-ers, moms, dads, grandpas, grandmas, students, children, whatever the case is, they feel stuck. Father, we just surround them. We swarm them with heaven’s prayer this morning in Jesus’ name, and we say, “Move. Be dislodged from that rut. Be dislodged from that trauma. Be dislodged from fear.”
