Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, June 8, 2022

Pastor Ken…

Good morning, everyone. Welcome to our morning prayer gathering.

Get reconnected with courage…

This morning, I was thinking about how we can be encouraged this morning. We can hold onto hope no matter what we’re standing for or what we find ourselves in circumstantially, what we grapple with maybe emotionally or physically. If you’ve symptoms flaring up in your body, or you’ve got a really negative diagnosis from a doctor… whether it’s something that just happened or it’s been a problem you’ve been dealing with for some time. I want you to be connected with your courage this morning. That’s what courage is … being reconnected with the courage of the Holy Spirit, and also to encourage you to hold onto hope because here’s the truth. God has determined beforehand how He would rescue you from what you’re going through and how He would get you out of what you’re in.

God wants to walk us into our destiny…

One of the reasons I like to share things as a point of reflection before we pray is because God wants to walk us into our destiny. He wants to walk you into your victory, into your breakthrough, by shifting your perspective about who you are and what you’ve been given. He wants to shift our perspectives this morning. And that’s why it’s so essential to worship and seek God because it changes us. It changes our perspective and that’s all that’s needed to change in your circumstances… a change in our perspective.

You attract heaven when you worship…

And as we seek and worship Him, as we yield our hearts over to Him today, just know that you are attracting heaven. You’re attracting the supernatural into your life as you turn your attention toward Him, with your words, with your thoughts, with your adoration, with your expression of love… just giving your time and attention to Him. You’re attracting the heavenly dimension into your life. You’re hosting the presence of God.

Hosting the presence of God…

And I’m here to say this morning that it’s possible to host the presence of God to such a degree in your life that you can be entirely transformed in short order. It’s possible to host the presence of God to such a degree that you can bring change into the circumstances that you step into later today.

We are doorways…

Because as I’ve often said, we are doorways. Jesus is “the door,” right? And we enter “the door,” that being Jesus, through relationship. But then because of that relationship, we become doors as well, that heaven longs and desires to enter. In fact, there’s a door between the two realms. That’s us! Heaven and earth are open. The door between heaven and earth is open. Jesus is the door, and we enter it through relationship. And here’s the one thing I wanted to say: Heaven wants to enter earth through you. Heaven wants to enter earth through you, to you and through you today.

If you could see the angels it would encourage you…

I came across something that I thought was good. When we talk about heaven, we’re not only talking about the Holy Spirit and God’s power, but also the fact that there’s a whole angelic rank of beings… ranks of beings that support and supply us and message and work and actually study to carry out the will of God in our lives and in the earth. And, of course, they’re angels. And somebody that I follow on social media that I respect posted this reflection. They said, “If you could see the angels and what heaven is doing about it…” that would be whatever your circumstances or whatever prayer you’ve got out there “…if you could see the angels and what heaven is doing about it right now, you would find peace in the most difficult situations. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you eyes to see. That might be a really good place to start on this Wednesday morning for some of us. “Lord, just give me eyes to see.” Because all that’s needed to change in your emotional state, all that’s needed to change, in fact, your life in general is a change in perspective.

We’re a new species…

And that’s what the Gospel is all about. That’s what the letters to the church even more so are all about … to shift our perspective and to help us to see we are no longer our old selves. We’ve been made brand new. One Bible translation says you’ve been created a new creature. In fact, a new species. You’ve been transformed because of Jesus and His finished work into a new species of being or creation that never existed before. A God man, a God woman. Replete with the power of God, the Spirit of God, the weaponry of the eternal realm, surrounded and assisted by angels.

All of heaven stands with you today…

And if you feel alone this morning, isolated, kind of standing by yourself so to speak, I want to encourage you that we’re with you today. Of course the Holy Spirit, God is with you today. We stand with you today. But all heaven stands with us today. And God wants to pull off the blindfold or the blinders and help us to see we’re not alone. Angels are perpetually coming and going. That’s why it’s so important to pray. That’s why using your words intentionally and under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is so critical because the Word reveals the angels are set in motion to work on your behalf. For your benefit and profit, for your advantage, for earth’s advantage, for the plan of God and its advantage. When the saints get serious about their words. And using them to speak freedom.

Scientists have discovered…

I just was reminded of that. I said that earlier that we’ve got 75 to 100 trillion cells in our body that make up our human flesh. And scientists increasingly know and have been able to correlate the fact that your central nervous system is connected to your speech center in your brain. In other words, to kind of make it brief, your thoughts and your words are directly correlated to your cells at a cellular level. And they’re also connected to what occurs in the spirit dimension around us that we can’t see. But it’s there. Both messengers of darkness and messengers of light. Not really messengers of darkness, but you know, the enemy and his cohort, if you will.

It’s all because of the intentionality of our words…

We’re told to bind and to loose and what we bind and what we lose will be so. We’re told that we can have what we say, according to Jesus. We’re told that we can ask, we can seek, we can knock, and we will see a response in our lives. All because of our words. All because of our intentionality in what we release, what we declare.

Testimony of pushing back the enemy…

Our problems have spiritual roots and can be dealt with, can be prevented from a spiritual place, from a place of utterance, from a place where God grants you boldness to speak and dispatch the enemy and push him back. I think I’ve shared this before, but it’s worth repeating. I know of a minister who has cameras… This happened a few years ago. He has cameras in his offices. He’s right next door to some other secular business or something. And he’s got security cameras in his office, and he was home one day and he told his wife, “Hey honey, I feel a sense that we need to pull up our security cameras on our laptops. Nobody’s at the office, but let’s see what’s going on.” Then they pulled it up and they saw these these little kind of white transparent globes floating around in thin air in their office. All kinds of them, all over the place. They’re like, “What? What is up with that?” And they started praying in the spirit and as they prayed in the spirit, these little white things that were floating around in the air started to move around more rapidly. And they started darting out from that place until they were all gone, as they continued praying in the Spirit. The enemy is an opportunist. He’s a lion who roars… but as I say, he’s a toothless lion… seeking whom he may devour. He’s looking for an opportunity where somebody let their guard down, where they got up and went about their day naked spiritually, without their sword, without the intentionality of their words.

Prayed…

Lord, we pray that you would open our eyes today… help us to see in our present circumstances… help us to see as you see that we’re not alone…

Lord, help us as the church now to see that despite the enemy’s best attempts in America or in our nation or in our churches or in our cities and what he’s trying to do and what he’s announcing boldly as a lion without teeth though… help us to see that you’re with us in this hour.

We pray, Father, for a removal of those cataracts… spiritual cataracts… a removal of those lenses that have been seared into our hearts’ consciousness into our minds because of circumstance, because of challenges

Father, we pray for the light of heaven to land on the church here at Living Word and throughout this nation and throughout the world today… we come together and we pray for an uncovering of what’s been hidden and exposing of our sight faculties…

Prayer about the nation…

We pray for our nation and we pray for eyes to be open … for leaders to see… not only to make decisions today in Washington DC or in your state or province, but also for those that are not in the game yet, that have not stepped into a new place yet … eyes to see … realization would come to people who are called not just to ministry, but to the political arena, to the arena of influence and leadership today

Prayer about people being moved into new roles…

We pray for a moving, a shifting of people into positions, into new roles, into new opportunities… we pray for an opening up of opportunities, an opening up of new things to people, concepts, ideas, organizations, assignments … prayers that need to be prayed now… that there would just be a giving and a granting of a whole new repertoire of things that you want to happen now in the earth … in America. And particularly in the church.
