Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, August 12, 2020

Pastor Ray…

We will not be here next Monday through Friday morning because of the meetings at Living Word. If you don’t know, we will have Tuesday and Wednesday evenings with Jerry Savelle, Thursday and Friday evenings with Kenneth Copeland, and then the weekend with Dr. Jessie Duplantis.

Father, we cover those meetings with the precious blood of Jesus today in preparation for what needs to be done, for what needs to be said. We cover all of these men with the blood of Jesus and requesting, Holy Spirit, for a major move so that it will go on out from here. Thank You, Father, in advance for what will be done in Jesus’ name.

Morning prayer will start up again the following Monday.

On the First of September, Pastor Lynne is starting prayer for the election. You will be able sign up then for updates and whatever is being prayed at www.electionprayer.us.

Shared…

If we get our eyes on just ourselves, we are nothing. We can’t do what needs to be done unless we are saturated to overflowing with the presence of God.

We are anointed and we know it. And a lot of times maybe we don’t talk enough about these things. It’s not that we get over into pride. We still know who we are but the more we know Him… Whew!

Pastor Mac has been preaching on the peace of God. One of the points he shared was if you’re not in peace, you can’t give it out. It’s the same way with the love of God. If we’re not totally aware He loves us so much and filled, we can’t give it away. And that’s our call, to give it away.

He read from John 20 in the Amplified.

(19) Then on that same first day of the week, when it was evening, though the disciples were behind closed doors for fear of the Jews,

We cannot even imagine how it was for them. Jesus went to the Cross and all these things were happening. And then suddenly Jesus was standing in the midst of them. He either walked through the door, the wall, or He just showed up.

…Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace to you!

Well, they were not in peace. And just because He said that, that didn’t really do it for them. They were still in fear. So, He continued to talk with them.

(20) So saying, He showed them His hands and His side. And when the disciples saw the Lord, they were filled with joy (delight, exultation, ecstasy, rapture).

They are stirred up. So, the peace of God that He had talked about began to come upon them.

(21) Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you.  (22) And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit! John 20:19–22 (AMPC)

And then we read from Luke 24 in the Amplified.

(13) And behold, that very day two of [the disciples] were going to a village called Emmaus, [which is] about seven miles from Jerusalem. (14) And they were talking with each other about all these things that had occurred. (15) And while they were conversing and discussing together, Jesus Himself caught up with them and was already accompanying them.

Both these times, He just showed up.

For us here in these days, He always shows up, but He never always shows up in the same way. We just need to be expecting for that manifested presence.

(16) But their eyes were held, so that they did not recognize Him.

(17) And He said to them, What is this discussion that you are exchanging (throwing back and forth) between yourselves as you walk along? And they stood still, looking sad and downcast.

(18) Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered Him, Do you alone dwell as a stranger in Jerusalem and not know the things that have occurred there in these days?

(19) And He said to them, What [kind of] things?

It’s almost like He is just having a great time with them, “Well, what kind of things?”

…And they said to Him, About Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in work and word before God and all the people—

(20) And how our chief priests and rulers gave Him up to be sentenced to death, and crucified Him.

(21) But we were hoping that it was He Who would redeem and set Israel free. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things occurred.

(22) And moreover, some women of our company astounded us and drove us out of our senses. They were at the tomb early [in the morning]

(23) But did not find His body…

Now let me just skip down.

(28) Then they drew near the village to which they were going, and He acted as if He would go further.

(29) But they urged and insisted, saying to Him, Remain with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. So He went in to stay with them.

(30) And it occurred that as He reclined at table with them, He took [a loaf of] bread and praised [God] and gave thanks and asked a blessing, and then broke it and was giving it to them

(31) When their eyes were [instantly] opened and they [clearly] recognized Him, and He vanished (departed invisibly).

(32) And they said to one another, Were not our hearts greatly moved and burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and as He opened and explained to us [the sense of] the Scriptures?

(35) Then they [themselves] related [in full] what had happened on the road, and how He was known and recognized by them in the breaking of bread.

(36) Now while they were talking about this, Jesus Himself took His stand among them and said to them, Peace (freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin) be to you! Luke 24:12–23; 28–36 (AMPC)

In both cases, it took either the communion, breaking of bread, or Him showing the wounds. It all goes back to the Cross. A lot of times, we focus totally on the resurrection because that empowers us, of course, as Christians in our walk with God. But it’s the Cross that brings us there, to the resurrection.

There is no resurrection if there is no Cross.

Let us never forget the Cross. I am not being religious about it. You don’t have to wear one. But just that we remind ourselves continually what was done there and the blood that was shed and how the disciples actually, their eyes were not open, they didn’t even recognize Him until He reminded them of what took place on the Cross. Hallelujah. Thank You.

We turn our eyes upward, heaven’s ways, step out from whatever… even this morning, whatever happened this morning, just step out of it. Like we go through a huge door and enter into what we know is our calling and we’ve been called to bring forth, bear fruit, bring that peace that passes all understanding to others.

Pastor Folu yesterday reminded us, Jesus went about doing good and healing the sick. That is our call. Thank You. Thank You.

There is not one of us that is not called. We are called to be being filled so much that it will just run over, just come out. Wherever we go, let’s believe that we make a difference just by the presence that is on us and in us, the power of the precious Holy Spirit, the Cross and what was done at Calvary, the blood that was shed and the power that was given through that precious holy blood for us today, in these days.

The Cross, the Cross, the Cross. Hallelujah!

Ms. Barb…

The presence of the Lord is in this place. Thank You, Jesus.

There was a man in the Old Testament. His name was Naaman. He heard that there was a prophet in Israel that could heal him of his leprosy. When he went, the prophet told him to dip in the river seven times and you will be healed. But he questioned what the prophet said. Can’t I go over here? This is a much better river. I would rather go over here.

So, he went away and he was angry. But his servant said, look, just do what he said to do. Why wouldn’t you do that? If it were some great thing, you would have done it.

He decided he would do what the prophet said to do. And when he dipped, one, two, three… seven. It took seven times to dip in that river before he received what he needed from the Lord. And here we are today. And He says, dip into the river of the Spirit of God to receive what you need from Me. You need to dip into the river of My presence, My anointing, and receive what you need from Me by the Holy Spirit.

The anointing of God is here. Receive that deliverance, receive that peace, receive that healing, receive that freedom as you dip down in the river of His Spirit today. Yield yourself to His presence. He can meet every need right now. It’s by His Spirit.

So, we do. We dip in, we step in. Thank You, Jesus.

Pastor Tim led us in worship…

Ms. Jeanie…

I saw some in the body maybe dipping three times, three and a half times. And then I heard “finishing strength” and then I heard “from glory to glory.”

We wipe off weariness, battle weariness. Finishing strength and then going from glory to glory. Christ in You is the hope of glory. Christ in You is the confident expectation of good, which is the hope. The confident expectation of His glory on the earth. Where would I be if I had not believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the Living.

Scripture focus…

(14) And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.

(15) And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here!

(16) For by what shall it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight? Is it not in Your going with us so that we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the other people upon the face of the earth?  Exodus 33:14–16 (AMPC)

That is how much of a necessity it is for His presence to go with us. And He said He would give us rest. We receive now.

Pastor Tim led us singing Thank You for Your Presence

Ms. Jeanie…

So, right before Jesus went to the cross, He didn’t want to finish it either. And some of us have felt condemned because we don’t want to finish what God has told us to finish. Jesus wasn’t sinning when He didn’t want to finish. He just went to His Father and said, “Is there any other way? If there isn’t, then I’m going this way.” We have with us the one that lives inside of us, relates to us. The one that lives inside of you, relates to you.

When you are saying, “I’ve come this far and I see the finish line, is there another way? Yet, Father, if this is the only way, I’m going for it.”

And when Jesus leaned into the will of His Father, the finished work was finished. There is no condemnation for weariness. There is no condemnation for needing finishing strength!

Today, the Church leans into her loving Father and she receives finishing strength. There is no condemnation, only the arms, the compassion, and the finishing strength of a loving Father.

Ms. Barb…

Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Sometimes as pray-ers, we can take on the heaviness of the assignments that God brings to us. And we put on that garment of praise (laughter)! Glory to God! You know, sometimes pray-ers look like they have been sucking on a lemon for a week. You should not be that way.

When the children of Israel were praising the Lord, they weren’t walking around sad and depressed and with heaviness. They were rejoicing! They were full of joy and laughter and that peace of God that transcends your mind and soul. It’s brings joy!

What is our strength? The joy of the Lord is our strength. So, from that place of praise there’s a victory joy that should rise up on the inside of you as you are dipping into the presence—every time you get in, every time you touch Him, there’s a joy flow that should come to you because He is victory!

If you have peace, you have joy in your heart because you know that He’s accomplishing the work! He’s doing the work for you! It’s not in your hands, it’s in His hands. And we believe! We believe! And our mouth is filled with laughter! Glory to God! Oh, there’s a joy! There’s a joy that comes up in your soul! There is a joy that rises up in your soul! Glory to God! Oh, Hallelujah! Oh, it’s a praise of victory! A sound of victory! Glory to God!

(shouts of victory!)

Like a mighty rushing wind, He comes in and displaces every evil work. It’s time for the abundance of rain. It’s time for the abundance of rain! Glory to God! Thank You, Father God!

We yield ourselves to Your Spirit! Ha! Ha! Ha! Oooooohh! Changes, changes, changes, changes, changes.

Thank You, Father. You are washing through. You are washing through the body. And that washing carries away all the junk, all the garbage. Oh, Glory to God!

Yes, Father, we are a chosen generation. We are a chosen nation. We have been anointed, Father God, to be in this earth at this time, to stay the enemies’ hand, and cause Your will to come to bear in the name of Jesus Christ.

So we take our place and we walk in Your grace and we receive an abundance of peace as we walk through in Jesus’ name.

It’s a combination. And we access that by the Holy Spirit. Everything by the Spirit, we unlock in Jesus’ name. We have the right combination at the right time by the Holy Ghost, the words to speak that open those places, that open those things in Jesus’ name. Yeah, a supernatural um… Yes, it’s going to unlock that supply that is necessary. Because He’s put everything that you need, everything necessary to complete your course. And so, by the Spirit you unlock those things so that they are released at the right time. They are released into your path at the right time so you run right into them.

It’s not by your hand, not by your effort, but it’s by the Spirit of God that you access those places and those things. It’s a release. They are released unto you. This is the day! This is the day! Oohhh!

Pastor Tim led us singing This Is the Day the Lord Has Made

Pastor Ray…

You know, Naaman, he didn’t get what he was supposed to get on the third try or fifth try. It was seven times. That’s not something that was normal in those days or any days. But there is something the Bible has told us to do: “Be being filled with the Holy Spirit.” It’s in the same way. We’ve got to be so hungry when there are opportunities for the presence… Let’s say you can sense the presence in the room, take a dip, one dip after another.

We are taking dips, getting filled, offering up worship to the King of kings, it’s joy, it’s strength, it’s peace. We can get so overcome it’s actually hard to walk. Its good. God is good. He is working on our behalf by the power of His Spirit – even though we may not sense of feel it. But many times we do know it and we do feel it and we do sense it. So, stay joyful, stay happy internally knowing, He’s already done it all for us. And we just partake and believe and receive. Thank you! Hallelujah.
