Morning Prayer Summary for Tuesday, October 2, 2018

Pastor Ray shared…

Sandy and I watched the second service from last weekend. Wow, how would you like to be on a plane with Todd White, if you are not a believer? You would be shaking in your boots. Of course, he stands out wherever he is. I was remembering the last time I was in France and Billye Brim was there. She was talking about this man that was a little bit older but a singer. He would do some regular concerts but he was a believer and just stood for the Word, stood for the Lord. And he did this all of the time where he would wear all of his clothes in just two colors including his brief case. I think it was black and red. So when he would get on a plane, he would draw attention to himself. He would get the attention of the attendants first and then start ministering the Word. She said it was just split down the middle. One leg was one color and the other leg was the other color (ha, ha, ha). It wasn’t just a color up here and a color down there. It was in half. But he used it for God. He used it for the Lord and his personality was over the top. She was on a flight with him, and by the end of the flight, he had all of the attendants and everyone around him. They all wanted to talk to him because he was so excited about the things of God. I love it. We want to be that way right? Be lights.

I have tried to sort of stay removed from what all of the media is saying right now and all of the different things they are trying to stir up like “how many beers did Judge Kavanaugh have when he was a youth?” or whatever. I believe it’s going to work out right. It’s going to work out right.

The following excerpt is from Born for Battle by R. Arthur Matthews:

Prayer is a weapon, a mighty weapon in a terrible conflict. Our prayers are to be a continual, conscious, earnest effort of battle, the battle against whatever is not God’s will, P. T. FORSYTH

Prayer is the cutting edge of any work for God. It is not a supplemental spiritual rocket to get some well-meaning effort off the ground. Prayer is the work and the working power in any spiritual ministry. It should be the central thrust.

The spiritual history of a mission or a church is written in its prayer life. The expression of corporate life is not measured in statistics, but in prayer depth. The programs of preaching, teaching, and serving; the goal setting; the adoption of news, twentieth-century techniques, seminars on time management, and administrative procedures are all good. But they are effective and productive in God’s economy only as they are subject to prayer.

Thank God this ministry grew out of a prayer group and it’s never stopped.

Considering the importance God attaches to prayer for the carrying out of His purposes on earth, we must be alert and sensitive to common habits and tendencies that impair our prayers’ effectiveness and blunt their cutting edge. Prayers with blunted edges have no power of penetration. They may not get through to the throne. Furthermore, such prayers do not have any deterrent effect on the attacking enemy. Since it takes a sharp edge to inflict wounds, our best endeavors ought to concentrate on preserving a razor-sharp cutting edge.

In a day when new and exciting cutting edges are being recommended, the tendency is to be carried away with new ideas and relegate the traditional trusty weapons to a place of less significance, or to throw them away altogether. We need to realize that God is not going to use any means of operation just because it happens to be innovative. Nor will he use it because it relates to the status quo.

My purpose is to intensify the inner realities and to encourage God’s people to derive their value systems from the direct teaching of the Word itself. Then I want to encourage them to surrender themselves to the truth as the Holy Spirit applies it, and to use it in prayer.

So let us consider prayerfully some of the attitudes and concepts that can spoil the cutting edge of a prayer life.

The concept that treats prayer as if it were merely a supplemental booster in getting some project off the ground makes the project primary and the prayer secondary. Prayer was never meant to be incidental to the work of God. It is the work.

So, we come up with an idea. We, I come up with an idea and then we decide “Well, let’s pray over that.” Whoa! Wait, that’s backwards. That’s like, I believe Todd White mentioned it, that in these days, good is bad and bad is good. Things are turned around.

One of our staff members testified yesterday at 3:30 prayer. He had just gone through a physical battle and he said something similar to that. He said a lot of times people, believers, can be not helpful but they can actually be a deterrent to your getting through and walking out your victory. Because they can possibly bring up negatives. And he said he had to choose who he was around because he could not listen to… He did it at first. He said what he was going through, a lot of people would say “Well I remember Jo Blo went through that and he died.” Because you know it’s a battle and there is a mind battle that goes on. And he said he had to keep himself just surrounded by people who would agree and speak words of life. And last week he got an extremely awesome victory of health. He calls them little cancer devils. They were all gone. His body is clean and clear and he said right before he got that report. He said his doctor was usually pretty positive in his walk through this but he actually had to speak words of life or health to the doctor before he had his last test because she started wavering and wondering and questioning “Well, maybe, I don’t know. You have this and some other deals going on so maybe bla, bla, bla…” He said “Wait, hold it.” So, it was a kind of opposite kind of thing. He spoke words of life to the doctor to encourage the doctor to speak words of life to him. Hallelujah. I should have him testify but he isn’t here this morning. But he said they put him out for the last test that he had. When he woke up and came to, there was a different nurse in the room. She was all excited because things were way more normal than they had been with his blood readings. He just started to cry some and he said “Oh, thank you so much for that good report. I am a man of faith and I am believing and declaring.” She said “Oh, yeah, I know that.” He said “Wait, what.” Because he had never met her before. He said “Well how do you know I am a man of faith?” She said “By His stripes, you are healed. That’s what you were declaring before you even were awake.”

I love it! She quoted the scripture because that’s what he was declaring when he was coming out of it. I love it. So, what’s inside is going to come outside. Yes, I like that declaration “Prayer was never meant to be incidental to the work of God. It is the work.” And you know the other things you know take place after that.

If prayer is fostered only by emergencies and is only and always just petition, then it seems to me that some very important aspects of prayer are being ignored. Prayer is more than the church’s ambulance, called out to deal with various crises after the damage has already been done. To use it only in this way is to cheapen and act despitefully toward the deeper significance of prayer that God teaches in the Bible.

To pray in an emergency is altogether right. But to pray only in an emergency cannot be right because this limits prayer to the area of our own self-awareness in the events of life. It makes prayer a convenience, something to which we are driven by our human perspective on the crisis, not something in which we are drawn and energized by the Holy Spirit.

You know that’s a tendency that we could have. Of course, we pray in emergencies. Of course, we do. But I am just reminded of something that Pastor Lynne said a lot of years ago: “We should be praying out things by the Spirit before it ever hits the news. We shouldn’t be looking to the news to see what kind of emergency do they have today.”

Pastor Ray…

I can see this capitol “I” and capitol “F”, “IF.” And it was like IF you will continue to call the things that are not as though they were, they shall be. If you’ll continue to call the things down that need to get down, they shall be brought down. If you shall continue to call the things that looked like they were going in the wrong way, calling them in the right way, you shall see the things move and go in the right way. If you shall continue to call the lies to be brought to the light, uncovered, they shall be uncovered. So, continue to contend for what God’s Word said for you to contend for. We take it. We will continue to do it. We’ll continue to contend. We’ll continue to continue.

Prayed…

Doors that need to be opened if we continue to declare “Be open in Jesus’ name”
Sicknesses have to bow their knee to the name that is above every other name – JESUS!
When we continually declare the name that is above every other name, not continue to declare the name, those names that are below the name, the lies, the inaccuracies, they shall be revealed when we continue to contend and declare “be still, be shut down, be turned around, leave – they shall obey!”
When we continually declare and end to some things, they shall be ended
IF we continue – WILL we continue? YES, LORD!
Yes, Lord, You are helping us, You are strengthening us
Hallelujah, Oh Lord, we will continue with You
Continually standing for the right things, continually pressing for the right things
Continue to call an end to the wrong things, continue to lift up our leaders, our president
Continually, continually, continually lifting up our leaders
Doing what You said to do in Your Word, Father – these things shall come to pass
Shall, Are, Will, Continually Unfold, be revealed
What You said in Your Word, Father, we know it shall come to pass IF we DECLARE IT
Hallelujah

It matters, these things matter, it matters to God
It matters for the future, it matters what we do for the days and the weeks and the months shall unfold, it matters
When we brush off doubt! And tell it where to go, to get out, it has to leave, it will leave, it is leaving
When we continually declare over body parts that are within us, telling them to line up to manufacturers specifications – what do they do? They line up! They have to, they must, they will!
Miracles, divine revelations, understanding, insight, wisdom
Things will work out, things are working out
It’s working out! It is, it’s working up, it’s working out, we’re having what we say, what we declare
It’s coming to pass in Jesus’ name
Thank You, Father

I want you to agree with me for somebody. It’s a lady we know. She is in her eighties and her sister just passed and her daughter’s father which would be this ladies ex-husband is dying and she called Sandy yesterday “Do you think that Pastor Ray would ever just corporately lift me up?” Sure. Why would we not?

We lift her up this morning and surround her with the precious holy blood of the Lamb
Cover her, all of the activity that she is involved in right now in Jesus’ name
We speak peace, the peace of God that passes all understanding!
And we declare no weapon of the enemy can come against her, take her down, put her in a place of fear or lack of any kind in Jesus’ name
We declare the strength of God to be surrounding her but within her
That she will continually in these days know who she is in YOU and continually contend for what You have for her!
Knowing what You’ve called her to do, knowing how many victories she has had in her life
Bring these things back to her remembrance about what You’ve already done for her in the many years that she has been on this earth!
We come up right behind her, we come up alongside of her and we declare “There is more! There is greater! There are more things that you shall accomplish while you are on this earth and you shall accomplish it in divine supernatural health from heaven, equipped, strengthened, anointed to make a difference in those you come in contact with
Hallelujah! An abundance of provision, an abundance of favor, an abundance of strength, an abundance of peace and wisdom from heaven right now in these days
We thank You for it, we agree for it, for her, for that family in Jesus’ name

One way or another we as members of the body, we shall walk in victory
One way or another our country will walk in victory
One way or another our President will continually move in God’s will and purpose for this nation
What was meant to be, it shall be! One way or another!
Obstacles will be moved out of the way, every hindrance, every lack, every inaccuracy, every lie – they shall be exposed! Hallelujah
Thank You for it, Lord

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

Continued praying…

We pray over our pastors and cover them in the blood of Jesus and in Jesus’ name
We declare again that no weapon formed against them shall prosper
They are above, they are whole, they are heathy, they’re wealthy
They are prosperous spirit, soul, and body in Jesus’ name
While we are at it we speak to ministering spirits, we tell you to go, get the finances and bring it in in Jesus’ name
Individually and corporately! Finances, money that we declare it’s coming to us! When? Now! Right now!
These are the days of increase, these are the days of greater, these are the day of more!
These are the days of momentum in the Church!
Hallelujah! Glory!
We speak grace and peace over America

Ms. Annie led us singing Peace, Peace, Wonderful Peace

Continued praying…

The peace of God – just take it
We receive that peace that passes all understanding, we receive it right now
We receive it in our minds, that our minds would be still, that our spirits would be up above
Our spirit man would be in control, we’d be being led by Your precious Holy Spirit
We take that peace, we take it to ourselves
We call every other thing that would try to come against that peace, we call it out, we call it down, we call it to be removed
We are men and women filled with the peace of God that passes all understanding
All hell could be going on around in the earth, but we are men and women filled with the peace of God
We are filled, we are overflowing, we have God’s peace, we have the love from heaven
And we are givers of love, going about doing good, going about speaking good
Going about doing what God almighty has called us to do

Ms. Annie led us singing Spirit of the Living God Fall a Fresh on Me

Pastor Ray…

You know when that falls fresh, when it’s within us, when it’s the peace of God, it does pass all understanding. Understanding has to leave, really, when we stay in peace. Because we do know what He has said, how He said it would be and how it would turn out. So, we take that peace. We receive it, it is ours, we are filled to overflowing with that peace. We give it out, we speak it, we declare it out, we cover those we come in contact with, we minister doing good, bringing the goodness of God, the glory of God that is within us to them and bringing that peace

Peace, peace, peace, peace, hallelujah
If there are some things this morning that are trying to come against that peace
We take authority over those things and say “Be still, be stopped, get down in Jesus’ name!”
We are not moved by it, we are moved by the peace of God
And we overcome by the blood because You overcame through that precious blood on the Cross
Hallelujah, thank You, Father

So, we speak peace and grace over our nation, America. We pray and we believe for the voice of truth and salvation and revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land – all over this country. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are a good, good, Father
Your Word is true, Your power is real
You made a way for us where there was no way – but You made a way!
You turned things around, some things You turned right on upside-down!
Oh, we were going in a wrong way but You got us in the right way
Oh, for somebody prayed, somebody prayed!
We pray for others today, that those things would be turned around!
Many things will be completely turned upside-down!
Ohhh! For signs and wonders and supernatural activity
Hey! Ohhh! Ohhh! Mighty works from heaven
Thank You, Lord

For some things are in the oven of God and they are about to come out. They are ready, ready, ready for the Church to receive the abundance that was promised and the abundance that is ours and the fullness and the completeness, the wholeness, the health and the wealth, the two twins! Hallelujah!
