Morning Prayer Summary for Tuesday, May 10, 2022

Pastor Ken…

Good morning to those of you here in this chapel. Good to see you all on this Tuesday morning.

Teaching…

This morning I was reminded of this. If you’re looking for a word from God today, if you’re needing some direction, an answer, don’t overlook this. This will sound really simple but I feel like it’s bottom-line Christianity. Some things in our lives are simply waiting for us to take our place in prayer and exercise our authority. Some things, some situations, some challenges, some issues that we’re dealing with are just waiting for us to pray and exercise our authority. And I distinguish those two because they’re different. Remember we’ve been talking about becoming skillful in prayer in recent days. Skillful in the exercise of our spiritual weaponry, our spiritual attributes, things that God has downloaded to us. There’s a place where we pray in the Spirit to the Father out of our book of destiny in the library of heaven, but then there’s a time when we must exercise our authority. And we must put the enemy on the run.

Smith Wigglesworth analogy of how to use our authority…

I was actually thinking of the story of Smith Wigglesworth how one day he observed a woman by a bus stop. Her dog had followed her from her home to the bus stop. And she kind of tried to shush the dog back home because she was about to get on the bus. It didn’t listen to her. She did that a couple of times. Finally she stomped her foot and said with authority and strength,“Go! Now get home!” Finally the dog put his tail between his legs and ran home. Wigglesworth used that as an analogy for how we are exercise our authority and take our place.

We can no longer be silent…

I jotted this down the other day that “we cannot be silent,” not only concerning our nation and what’s going on. Clearly, there’s a fight for the soul of our nation going on, but also there’s a fight for the souls of people and the will of God for people. I’ve often said the enemy is always trying to talk people out of the will of God. He’s always trying to wage a war of attrition. And one of the things heaven is inviting us, calling us to do now is to not be silent. But to step into the fray, to step into the messiness of what’s going on in the world, maybe the messiness of your situation, your emotions, your feelings, your symptoms, whatever the case is, and take your place. To not be silent. As the saying goes, “speak now or forever hold your peace.” It’s time to speak now. It’s time to declare. It’s time to exercise our authority. It’s time to ask, to seek, to knock.

Part of our calling is to ask…

I’m reminded of John 16:23–24. “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” Somebody say “Ask!” This is part of our calling, right? To ask. To open our mouths, to use our vocal cords to ask.

Prayer is not a crapshoot…

I’ve often said that prayer was designed to be answered, not to be a crapshoot. “Well sometimes God does and sometimes He doesn’t.” No! Jesus clearly batted a thousand, if I could use a baseball analogy, in prayer. He always received. God designed prayer to be answered, for us to receive, for the throne to be a place of obtaining or receiving. Let us come boldly to the throne of grace. That’s a place where God’s free favor abounds… profusely abounds. I think the Amplified says it’s a place where we go to receive, not wonder what God’s thinking or what He’s going to do or if He’s going to answer or not. He invites us to ask that you may receive that your joy may be full. It’s time to ask. It’s time to receive. It’s time to exercise our authority.

Quote from E.W. Kenyon’s book, “In His Presence”…

I was also reflecting on a passage from E.W. Kenyon’s book, “In His Presence,” where he says “Some have said that prayer is the greatest opportunity ever afforded to a man or a woman in Christ. If this is true, then you can understand why there would be enemies to stand in the way of a prayer life. You can understand why adversity would come, make it his business to see that the prayer life of an individual and the prayer life of the church should be ineffective. Satan would not be a good strategist or general unless the prayer life would be attacked and destroyed. A church is as powerful as its prayer life. The men and women who learn the secret of reaching the throne and getting the ear of God, they become dangerous to the hosts of darkness.

I’ve said before, the devil hates your prayer life. Why? Because he’s the one who suffers the most from it. The church is as powerful, once again, as it’s prayer life. The men and women who learn the secret of reaching the throne and getting the ear of God, they become dangerous to the hosts of darkness. Martin Luther’s prayers gave birth to the reformation. His knowledge and experience of the new birth would not have given birth to that mighty upheaval in Germany unless that man had a prayer life. When John Knox cried, “Give me Scotland or I die” and when Martin Luther said, “I will not let go of you, God, until you give me Germany,” God heard them. And God is as easily reached now as He ever was. It is not a problem of education, but it’s a problem of knowing our rights and privileges in Christ. And then daring to enter the throne room facing God with the needs of the world.”

God loves to answer our prayers…

In other words, “asking.” What an amazing opportunity we have to go before the throne room of God, not only here collectively, but individually at any moment, at any time, on any day and in any place, we can go right up into… I like to say His lap… right up into His throne. To know Him, to be with Him, to experience who He is and what He brings and to ask. I don’t know about you if you’re a parent or grandparent, but for me when my daughter or one of my sons asks me for something, I want to give it to them. If it’s good for them, of course. I want to bless them. He loves to answer.

Joseph Prince quote…

Joseph Prince talks about how Jesus ever lives to minister. He’s energized, in fact, to minister to His children, to add value to them, to minister grace and mercy and goodness and power and answers and help to their lives. He’s, in fact, energized. He wants to answer more than we want to ask sometimes.

E.W. Kenyon quote continues…

E.W. Kenyan goes on to say, “Every one of us has a place in the prayer life. God has no unused members. There isn’t a useless member in the physical body. Neither is there a useless member in the spiritual body of Christ. God has planned with divine wisdom, the body of Christ, and the moment you are born into the body, you have a place in which to function. If anyone thinks because of a lack of training or because of a lack of this or that he doesn’t have a place, he is deluded by the enemy. With that place comes responsibility and with responsibility comes reward or demerit. If you do not take your place in the family of God, if you do not take your place in the body of Christ, or the church, then the church or the body of Christ is weakened because of it. Your business is to find your place and fill it. Until you do, you will pay the price. I want you to know the price you pay by staying out of the will of God. It’s expensive. You may pay it in sickness, loss of money, or in unhappiness with your loved ones. You cannot be the protected one. The cared for one. As long as you are standing outside of the Lord’s will for you. Take your place.

Pastor Ken’s comments…

I jotted a couple of thoughts down as I was reading this the other day. And that is if you will take time to pray about what God wants you to pray about, to spend time with Him, then things will change for you. Healing will come and blessing will knock on your door. Not prioritizing your prayer life will eventually leave you outside God’s will for your life and potentially exposed to the enemy’s attacks. It’s an act of obedience to pray.

Kenyon’s quote continues…

Let me just finish up here with what Kenyon wrote in his book, “In His Presence.” He goes on to say, “Give yourself to meditation, to prayer, to study of the Word. Don’t allow anything to stand in the way of you finding your place. Life will not mean much to you outside of the will of God. You can’t say that you have no responsibility in the prayer life because you do. Your prayer life makes a difference.

Pastor Ken comments…

I’ve said this before and I said it because I’ve experienced it, but if you’ll make a commitment to pray, to give yourself… Remember I mentioned yesterday that Acts 6:4 talks about how the disciples gave themselves to prayer. There isn’t necessarily like an ordination for you to be called to be a prayer warrior. No, it’s an opportunity that’s extended to us each and every day that we have to give ourselves to. Nobody’s going to put a gun to your head or force you to do anything really concerning God’s will, especially prayer. You have to give yourself to it. You have to be open-hearted, surrendered enough that you recognize those promptings. You sense that spiritual hunger down on the inside of you and you give yourself to it. And then it grows.

One of the main reasons why Pastor Lynne wanted to start the prayer movement because she knows how significant prayer is, of course, but also the fact that each and every one of us has assignments, has a calling to pray. Every one of us. Not just one or two, but all of us as a body. …

Brother Hagin says, “The greatest thing you can do is learn to pray because if you know how to pray, there’s nothing you can’t receive from God.

Finish E.W. Kenyon quote…

Going back to E.W. Kenyon to finish up what he wrote in his book. He said, “Did you ever realize that there are men and women who are defeated, breaking down in their business, in their homes, in their spiritual lives because we haven’t prayed for them? We’ve been too occupied with our own pleasures, our own dreams and men and women are staggering under the burdens we should help carry. Do not let this simply awaken you for a moment, but let prayer become like you’re eating, like your business, like your home. If you’re a parent, there are certain duties you perform every day for your family. But the greatest duty you will ever perform for your family will be the prayer duty. Prayer should be as natural as breathing and as enjoyable as eating. Prayer should be as unconscious as our communication with each other. It should not be simply the child of need but should be based on a spiritual fellowship with the Father. Our needs are not our own in fellowship with Him. Our needs become His needs. For we are not our own. We are part of Him.

Prayed about breaking the impasse …

And it must be, Lord. It must be great… break, break that… we break that in Jesus’ name… we break that impasse… we break that obstacle and that opposition today… in that arena… you know what that is, Lord, that arena, that place, that particular point and place and even time … open up… open up … we command those gates to open up … we come together and we come up to that gate now and we command it to open up.

Prayer about an entrance…

Gates are opening up … Here in America. Yes, in America… in particular, Lord, in America … gates, access points, doorways in a variety of arenas and places. We command there to be open space now … we command there to be entrance now on the authority of Jesus … open in Jesus’ name… open in this realm and open in that realm. Open over here and open over there… a coming together…

Prayer about marshalling the forces…

We marshal the forces needed today, both spiritual and in the natural realm… we marshal forces… we martial divine influence… We martial the aid and assistance that’s necessary… to go to work now, to overturn now, to open up now, to make room now, to prepare the way now … to get things set up now … to get things in position and in order and in cadence and in alignment, congruent with the heart of God, congruent with the plan of God for this generation and this time and this church and our lives in Jesus’ name.

Prayer about order…

We declare order … order in Jesus’ name… order, order, order in the hearts of your church, Lord, in the hearts of your people. We declare order in Jesus’ name… supernatural divine order in cadence… supernatural assignments, supernatural adjustments. We declare that today. We declare order over America today. We speak peace and order and grace over this land today…

Prayer about power to come against enemy…

We declare and we assign power… we assign supernatural power to those places where the enemy is rearing his ugly head, where he’s trying to stir up chaos and confusion and destruction and death. We stand against that. We’re coming after you, devil, today in the name of Jesus. And we pray, Father, that there will be a release. We release the hand of God. We release ministering spirits. We release the help of heaven to go now on assignment and to break up that evil huddle … to break up that behind the scene scheme, to break up whether it’s in the spirit dimension or it’s now being manifest in the natural dimension, it doesn’t matter. We break up darkness… we break up evil strategy… we break up the wickedness that has been conspired in the depths of hell… we break it up today concerning America, concerning our land, concerning our laws, concerning our churches, concerning our nation and our leadership in our houses and halls of government and decision-making and policy making … We break that up in Jesus’ name…

Prayer about answers and strategy… and to move in America…

And today, together, Lord, we come together as a holy collective. And we ask you, Lord, today for answers… we ask you for strategy… we ask you to move in America spiritually… to move in our churches … to move here at Living Word, to move in your church… with the newness of the Spirit … with some new things… unprecedented … and good and God-appointed things… ideas and concepts… creativity and solutions, messages and songs.

A whole new work of God in many ways. It’s the same message. It’s the same Word. It’s the same Holy Ghost. It’s the same God of heaven, but you’re ever creative and ever innovating supernaturally …

Prayer about political arena…

Yes, Father, we lift up the political arena in this nation …in each branch of government. And once again, Father, we ask for godly leaders. Some don’t even realize they have a call to influence and a call to step into leadership in some way. So today, Father, we ask that you would move in their hearts, that you would posture and position and move certain ones called ones in certain arenas of leadership and influence… that you would move them up, move them in, promote them … raise them up, that they would be in the hallway, waiting in the wings… for the nod of heaven, to step in … for the angelic to assist them to do what you’ve called them to do for such a time as this.

Prayer about a stirring…

We pray from sea to shining sea today… lift up your nation today… it’s time… it’s time… the will of God is being time-released now … There’s a stirring. We pray for a stirring in the house of God, a stirring in the family of God, a stirring in the church in Jesus’ name… stirring, stirring, stirring…  a holy stirring… a holy discontent… in our hearts, in the church… discontent with the status quo, discontent with what we’re seeing and what we’ve been experiencing…  discontent … We want more of you, Father, more of your presence, more of your will, more of your power, more of you in our lives and in our churches… And in our land, Father… we want you to be on display in this generation. Higher, higher, higher… we call the church higher. We pray that you would help us to take steps up higher.

Prayer about coming out of bondage…

A leader, a leader… up, up, up, up, up, up, up in Jesus’ name… breakout, breakout, breakout… brighter now … breakout … breakout… See it … you’ll see it. You’ll see it break out … come out, come out, come out wherever you are. Come out… come out of that place. Come out of that realm. Come out in Jesus’ name, come out of that bondage. Come out of that cell. Come out of that place now in Jesus’ name and step into the glorious light … come out in Jesus’ name…

Prayer about a new supply…

A new supply is granted now. Oh, we pray for the church to be bathed in a new supply… a new supply for this appointed day… for the appointed mission … for the assignments, for the steps that must be taken… for the work that must be accomplished in the ground that needs to be taken as well…

Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.

Prayer about separation and separating…

Separating, separating … we pray, Lord, for that separating in Jesus’ name… the vile from the vile… the great from the good … separating, separating … a supernatural separating… come out, come out in Jesus’ name… separation… a breaking of that pattern in Jesus’ name… a breaking of that assignment in Jesus’ name…

Prayer about doors slammed shut…

Oh my, to see a door slamming, that there are other doors that need to be slammed shut and never opened again… doors on the enemy … doors of evil assignment … doors, Lord, we command those doors now, even within America that need to close, then never should have been opened, slammed shut in Jesus’ name …

Prayer about Roe v. Wade…

We just get behind what you’re doing in the whole arena of Roe versus Wade right now in this nation… we just get behind it, Father, and we pray for a supernatural supply of the spirit to be made available… to assist it, to fuel it, to do what you want to do in it and through what you’re brooding over there right now in that realm… politically … in the judiciary branch of our government… we just raise up a standard of the Holy Ghost today in our land…

Speaking to chaos and destruction…

we say violence and chaos and death and destruction and division, you’re not welcome in Jesus’ name. We raise up a standard of the blood of Jesus and of the spirit in our nation and over and around our capital and our leaders in all the various branches of government today. Not only nationally, but also locally here in our state, in our cities today.

Prayer about peace…

We raise up a standard and we say peace. We declare peace over our cities today. Peace over our nation’s capital today. Peace over our borders today. Peace over the arenas and regions that are military occupy around the world today… we declare peace in Jesus’ name.

We pray for a turning point once again, a turning point, a supernaturally God granted point of turning in Jesus’ name

Prayer about Roe v. Wade… just the beginning…

And Roe V. Wade is just the beginning. It’s just the start. We pray that it would open up that as that occurs in a God-ordained way… as that’s orchestrated … we loose angels to assist in what you’re doing in that realm concerning whatever you would call Roe V. Wade, Lord, that a judgment that occurred many years ago, we pray that it would open up, open up, open up things, spiritually…  Open America spiritually, like she’s never been opened up before …

Prayer about revival and harvest…

for a move of God … opened up for harvest … opened up for revival, opened up just a giant opening as you move there… becomes available for the work of God to be accomplished in a short span of time. Haha. Oh yeah, yeah… You better buckle up. You better buckle up, buttercup… because God has some things planned… Oh yeah. He’s got some things planned. There are some things that He has called us to simply see and witness with our own eyeballs… in this hour… and those things are good. And those things are ordained… because the enemy ultimately is not going to win the day. No, no, no. In Jesus’ name… He’s not going to win My day … he’s not going to win your day. He’s not going to win America’s day. No for God is on the move… He is on the move and He is about to do some things that we are simply going to step back and witness and see and say, “Wow, my goodness, praise God, look what the Lord has done.” …

So get ready, Church, get ready!

So get ready, church. We pray for the church to get ready … individuals to get ready … households to get ready … leaders to get ready… pray-ers to get ready… the ministry offices… get ready, get ready, get ready… in the immortal words of TD Jakes. “Get ready. Get ready. Get ready…” We send out a “get ready” edict… a get ready invitation… Oh, get ready. Get in place now. Get in position now. Get your spiritual house in order now in Jesus’ name… hahahaha

Not because evil is coming, but because there’s good things that He wants us to participate in. He wants our hand in to help and facilitate and be a part of the wonderful work of God. So get ready in Jesus’ name.

Thank you, Father. We love you, Lord. We worship you, Father.

I sense that’s the heart of God. He’s just laughing, a belly joyful laugh, because He knows, right. He knows regarding you, regarding our land, regarding these days. Amen. Hallelujah. We are out of time this morning. So I just speak blessing and favor and goodness over you today. I pray God’s face will shine on you and that you will just walk in His presence all this day and into the next. Amen. Good to see you guys. I love you. Have a great day.
