Morning Prayer Summary for Tuesday, February 6, 2018

Ms. Annie led us singing Come to Me

Ms. Jeani prayed…

Holy Spirit, we welcome You here
You are with us, You are in us, You speak through us
Holy Spirit, have Your way this morning
I am so thankful that You pray through us
That You speak to us, You move through us
And that You are with us all the time

Ms. Jeani shared…

A lot of times when I am praying, the Holy Spirit will talk to me about positioning. What position we are praying from and what we are standing on. So today in praying for the leadership of our country and for America, He kept bringing the verse from Romans 8:19 to me.

(19) For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. Romans 8:19 (AMPC)

When Jesse Duplantis was last here he said, “There are no adults in the Kingdom of God, only sons and daughters.” That just really struck me. I was watching a documentary on Iraq the other day. There is such devastation in that country still. But when they would show the children, they had such optimism, they had such hope. Because they are children. I mean, they were expectant. The dreams in their hearts, they were still expecting to come to pass. Our God is not a slum lord that wants us to live in the slums always dreaming and never manifesting. And the earth is crying out for us to believe and receive that. The first thing He told Adam to do was to take dominion. And so even when we take dominion [as the Church goes, the country goes], even as we repent, change our thinking and submit our thinking to the goodness of God today; as we are praying for our President and for our country, even as we do that, we are changing our country. We are making a way where there seems to be no way.

The following excerpt was taken from Face to face With God by Bill Johnson:

But the truth is that life in that Kingdom is a greater reality than our entrance into the kingdom. This truth is portrayed symbolically by the Exodus story. When the Israelites came out of slavery in Egypt, they passed through the Red Sea. This is a picture of water baptism, the prophetic act by which we declare faith in Christ and receive forgiveness for our sin. God didn’t merely bring Israel out of slavery. He also brought them into the Promised Land. And when He brought them into that new territory, they crossed through another body of water, the Jordan River, into the Promised Land. This speaks of the baptism of the Spirit. (Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as a river, for example, in John7:38–39.) The first baptism deals with getting us out of the red, so to speak—paying our debt of sin. The second baptism deals with getting us into the black—getting us filled with God so we can walk with Him and more effectively represent Him as His agents of power on the earth. The promised land for the believer is living life in the realm of the kingdom—the King’s domain. This is the realm we were saved to live in.

In actuality, two and a half tribes decided to live on one side of the river while nine and a half tribes crossed over into the Promised Land.

Ms. Jeani…

That is us. We cross over. It says that they frustrated the Holy One of Israel by limiting Him. That is not us. We are changing our country with our prayers.

God required them to work together to make sure that people on both sides of the river came into an inheritance.
This “river” continues to be a point of division to this day, as a host of wonderful people have chosen to live on the other side of the river of God’s intentions. They are not inferior, nor are they powerless. But they have settled for less. (That’s not us) There is more across the river.

What the Exodus story shows us is that it is possible for people to be brought out of slavery but stop short of entering into the land of promise.

Ms. Jeani…

When Paula White was here, I thought about that because she was talking about taking possession. We have a responsibility as the sons and daughters of God to take possession. The earth is crying out for us to do this. And the good news is, in our weakness we are strong. When we are struggling and weary, He makes us strong and gives us rest. He would never have us do something that He hasn’t equipped us to do. But we can’t do it without Him. That’s the whole point.

In fact, the entire generation that came out of Egypt failed to fulfill the destiny God had for them.

Ms. Jeani…

God has a destiny for each and every one of us. It doesn’t matter how old we are. I have friends that are older and they feel like they are not sure if God has much left for them. Hello! Your life has just begun. He has so much for all of us. And that’s another piece to this whole thing, to help each other take dominion, to remind one another, to encourage each other.

They died in the small peninsula between Egypt and the Promised Land.

Ms. Jeani…

Did you hear that? It was a tiny, teeny peninsula.

The simple reason for these aborted destinies was a lack of repentance—a failure to allow God to retrain their thinking from the slavish mentality of Egypt to the mentality of those fit to walk in covenant with Him.

Ms. Jeani…

Here is the deal. It’s the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. Repentance means to change how we think. So, in our thinking we are yielding to His goodness all the time, constantly. I am just going to be vulnerable here. This morning I woke up thinking “what in the world am I doing leading prayer today?” And then it occurred to me, He gives us peace that passes all understanding. I don’t have to understand why I am up here. You know, we go by our peace. Right? If we try to understand everything? Just forget it! He leads us by our peace.

The simple reason for these aborted destinies was a lack of repentance—a failure to allow God to retrain their thinking from the slavish mentality of Egypt to the mentality of those fit to walk in covenant with Him.

Ms. Jeani…

The slavish mentality of the past, the slavish mentality of familiar things, the slavish mentality of just anything! Pastor Ray said something to me a while ago. He said, “You know if it drains you, it’s not from God.” Isn’t that good? So, if it drains you, don’t pet it. Don’t be like “Oh, little cute little draining thought. I am just going to stay with you a while.” No! All you have to do is turn to His goodness. Just abide in the vine. The earth is crying out for us to abide in the vine, to produce fruit that He would get glory. So, all we have to do is abide.
Talk about covenant. He made such an amazing commitment to us already. We can just dwell on that. I mean how amazing is that?

In the same way, many Christians repent enough to get forgiven but not enough to see the kingdom.

Ms. Jeani…

Did you see that? To SEE the Kingdom…What does He want us to do? On earth as it is in heaven. Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. This is our whole deal.

As I stated earlier, Jesus’s first instruction in His ministry was, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Ms. Jeani…

We are the carriers of the atmosphere of heaven. It is us. Everywhere you go, heaven goes. Why do you think the enemy doesn’t want you to think about this? Why do you think he wants you to think your age has anything to do with anything!

But just as the Israelites did, such believers miss out on all that is available in the authentic Christian life, and they are in danger of settling for a life of religious form.

Religion is the antithesis of the kingdom of God. And the kingdom—the realm of the King’s domain—is what every man, woman, and child longs for deep within their hearts.

Ms. Jeani…

I don’t know, if it’s the first thing He told us to do, it’s important. Don’t we long for this? Don’t we long to win? Don’t we long to see the Kingdom of God? Let’s not let delay or hindrance wear out that desire. Let’s be children and expect these things to come to pass.

Religion creates appetites it cannot fulfill. By nature, it carries a value for form without power, information without experience.

Ms. Jeani…

Religion was talking to me this morning, “You can’t lead prayer. You haven’t been in the Word enough. You have been so busy…” I mean come on! Hello! It’s not even me anyway.

It makes outward appearance a priority over the issues of the heart.

Ms. Jeani…

You know it’s okay for prayer to get messy. Can I just say that? When there aren’t any oxen in the stable, it’s clean. This is from Proverbs. It’s in the Bible. When there are ox in the stable, sometimes things get a little Holy Spirit-ish. Right? So, we don’t have to be religious people sitting on the pew just so we feel comfortable. As far as I am concerned, I thought comfort came from the Holy Spirit. It didn’t come from being religious.

For this reason religion does not provide an opportunity to actually know God, and it is therefore cruel, powerless, and boring.

Ms. Jeani…

Do you come here to be bored? Do you come here to feel like “I went to prayer so I am a good Christian.”? I am telling you right now that is the enemy trying to hold you back! Come here, have a good time. Like, be yourself! There is no one else like you and we all need your supply. That’s part of why I like to get other people involved. Because this is not a monologue! I love to draw people out. If I am leading, be ready to be drawn out.

We must be a people who are not willing to sacrifice the ideals of the kingdom for artificial substitutes. This present move of God is all about retraining us to lock into His manifest presence and live for nothing else.

Scripture focus…

(19) For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. Romans 8:19 (AMPC)

Ms. Jeani…

So all those people who act like they don’t want you to take dominion, they don’t know what they are doing. Seriously, it’s in the Word right here.

In our business, we meet with a lot of people. And last week we met with someone we hadn’t seen for two years. And I had completely forgotten about this. When we met with her, we were reminded that two years ago when we had met she told us that her husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he had a five percent chance to live. We prayed for her husband. And by the way, I wasn’t “Miss Faith and Power” when I prayed for her really at all. I just loved her and wanted the best. Right? That’s it. Her husband had a surgery at Mayo Clinic and he is cancer free. Do you get it!

I am going to read the Passion Version of Roman’s 8:12–19 and when it says the flesh I am going to replace it with “religion.”

Scripture focus…

(12) So then, beloved ones, the flesh (religion) has no claims on us at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it.

Ms. Jeani…

He is talking to us. We are His beloved. Religion has no claims on us at all. So, today in the chapel, religion has no claims on us at all, none. Only freedom in this place! You cannot mess up prayer in the chapel. Dance, sit, stand, be yourself… can’t mess up!
And by the way, if as the leader I have to manage you, that’s fine. I will. But better to have to be managed than be religious. Like, I have a prayer group on Thursday mornings and they are a bunch of wild people and I love it because I have to manage them. And it’s awesome! Obviously by the Holy Spirit.

(13) For when you live controlled by the flesh (religion), you are about to die. But if the life of the Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh (religion), we then taste his abundant life.

Ms. Jeani…

So, Father, I even thank You right now that today as we pray for our president and America with freedom, we taste Your abundant life. And as we taste your abundant life, we are hungrier for more.

(14) The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.

Ms. Jeani…

Did you notice it says mature children of God? It doesn’t say childish children of God and it doesn’t say childish adult children of God. It just says mature children of God—expectant.

(15) And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.

Ms. Jeani…

You are good enough, you are more than enough.

But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us…

Ms. Jeani…

He is in us! How cool is that. That is amazing!

…our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” (16) For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”

Ms. Jeani…

He whispers it into our innermost being, even right now. Hear Him whisper to every cell in your body, to everything that you are God’s beloved child. You put your name in there. It’s personal. You are His beloved child. I mean with that revelation alone, you really are not going to give up. It’s impossible to give up with that kind of revelation. You can’t! Because He doesn’t.

(17) And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures… Romans 8:12-17b (TPT)

Ms. Jeani…

Do you hear that? We’re qualified already.

(19) The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!

Ms. Jeani…

That is who we are! You are God’s glorious son. You are His glorious daughter. And as your thinking submits to His goodness, Holy Spirit ministers that to you. And there it is, fruit, fruit that bring Him glory.

If you know how I woke up this morning, this is the Holy Spirit. Fruit that brings Him glory, it’s like I can’t shut up because I have so much to say (ha, ha, ha). Because He is so good! I mean He is so amazing and what even more wild is we don’t have to wait for Him to show up because He shows up with us all the time. Right? And when we are all together the agreement creates a momentum and an acceleration in the atmosphere. This is why He set it up so we need each other. We can’t do it alone.

(20) For against its will the universe itself has had to endure the empty futility resulting from the consequences of human sin (religion). But now, with eager expectation, (21) all creation longs for freedom from its slavery to decay and to experience with us the wonderful freedom coming to God’s children.

Ms. Jeani…

The entire universe is standing on its tip toes yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters. For against its will, the universe itself has had to endure the empty futility resulting from the consequences of religion.
Even right now we keep our eyes on Your goodness
We abide in Your goodness, we abide in Your Word
That it is already finished as we pray from our leadership and our country
And, Holy Spirit, let Yourself go in us
We give You full reign, full permission to minister goodness to us
The goodness of the Most High God Who is our Abba
He is our Abba

…But now, with eager expectation, (21) all creation longs for freedom from its slavery to decay and to experience with us the wonderful freedom coming to God’s children.

Ms. Annie led us singing Abba I Belong To You

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Continued praying…

Today we take dominion
Not by might nor by power but by Your Spirit
You have equipped us to be glad, to be joyful, to be comforted
All that mourn, all that are weary are comforted and strengthened today!
Today! All day!
Father, I thank You that the dreams that You have put in each of our hearts are of You
And are toward the Kingdom!
And I Thank You now that we walk those things out today
We are free, free [I keep hearing “Free to be Me!”]
Holy Spirit is saying “Let Me be free to be Me and you be free to be Me!
Be Me with Holy Spirit today!
And have the best day
Thank You for coming
