Morning Prayer Summary for Tuesday, February 4, 2020

Ms. Jeani…

So, today, the Holy Spirit is going to convince you of your purpose and that your hunger for God changes lives.

Last night I was sitting in His presence and He gave me a Word for all of you. I am going to read it and then we’ll listen to a song. While we’re listening, filter it though this word and let it burn away every stupid, ridiculous lie that has ever held you back.

You pressed. You risked. I am beaming as I love you. You obeyed My voice and denied religion. You are becoming callused to your enemy. Joy and abundance: now you are more receptive to receiving and living in joy and abundance at a new level. Knowing your value causes you to humble yourself under My mighty hand. Humbling yourself under the mighty hand of God, the mighty, matchless hand of love, love that never fails. So, even as you humble yourself under the mighty hand of love, lies are being crushed. Anything that has held you back is being destroyed, knowing and accepting that there is nothing, nothing, nothing you can do to earn this, to earn My acceptance. When you humble yourself, you learn to enjoy your weakness and you learn to enjoy My strength. You no longer have to care about what you can do and that’s when the party gets started.”

As we listen to this song, its God speaking to us and our heart crying out to Him and saying “Refiner’s fire, burn away the chaff that has lied to me and told me that my relationship with You doesn’t change lives.”

Ms. Jeani…

Holy Spirit, we thank You that right now, You minister Your love to us. It’s personal. Burn us righteous, convince us that we are branded as belonging to You, already righteous in Jesus, and all of those things that we have longed for to change on the inside of us, they change as we get closer to You. It is Your love that brings us to repentance. It is Your mighty hand of love that convinces us of our righteousness, that we’re lovely, that we’re beautiful.

Father, we thank You for it right now and give You full reign, Holy Spirit, that it causes us to rise up because we are convinced that Jesus in us is the hope of glory. I submit my tongue to You that everything I say to these powerful people would cause them to be convinced of their righteousness in You. In any way the enemy has tried to pervert Your Word, that it gets straightened out in a moment. Thank You for the suddenlies of Holy Spirit, for the atmosphere of freedom and liberty in the chapel today.

I am contending right now for you to know the massive impact your relationship with God has had in your sphere of influence and how much He wants to increase your sphere of influence. Jesus, You live in them and You in them is the hope of glory, the confident expectation of Your goodness being displayed on the earth.

I am going to prove to you that we don’t need to receive support from everyone that God intended for you to receive support and affirmation from in order to change lives. And David is a perfect example of this. Even when you look at David’s mighty men, there were 37 mighty men. He had eight brothers and none of His brothers are listed as David’s 37 mighty men. None of them. Now think about that. David’s brothers were there when he was anointed king.

As I am saying this, think about people you have been longing to get affirmation and approval from just to know that God cares about you. So, here comes Samuel and he’s going to anoint the king out of the household. David’s dad doesn’t even invite him to the anointing party. Do you get it? He’s not even invited. So, his brothers are standing there, each one thinking “Oh, I am going to be king.” And then Samuel says “Who’s missing?”

They were there! People in your life have been there when God touched your life. They were there. They saw it. Yet, they still weren’t convinced. And David is a perfect example that it doesn’t matter.

Then, three of his brothers were there when he killed Goliath. Three of them! They actually saw him kill Goliath. They not only saw him be anointed king; they saw him kill Goliath. Yet, none of them were David’s mighty men. They didn’t join him. And do we hear about them anywhere in the Bible after that? No. We don’t.

Just because the enemy uses people in your close circle to lie to you, does not mean that is what God is saying. In fact it’s entirely the opposite. In fact, could it be an indicator of the massive calling that God has put on your life. And that if you’d just stay in the secret place… David stayed in the secret place. He knew… When he was with God, David was super raw with God and God couldn’t resist it. He could not resist David’s hunger for Him. David was massively inappropriate with God and God couldn’t resist it. You know when Jesus said “Get away from me, I never knew you.” God wants to know us. He wants to know what’s going on with us and He can handle it. Every time David did that, God always brought him back to faith. So, how do we get to faith? We pour our hearts out to God.

Ms. Constance…

You need a revival. God said “Revival in this chapel.” Receive it in the mighty name of Jesus! Let your spirits be revived today in Jesus’ name.

I was telling my sister in the morning that God is wonderful. When I was twenty five I was seeking and God said to me when I was lying on the death bed. I said “God am I going to die young?” And He said “No.” I said “What’s my purpose? And God said to me “I want you to go to Bible school.” I said “Okay.” And He said “But you are not going to be in Africa. You are going to go to the United States.” I did not know about the United States. I did not plan to come to the United States but I tell you what, God is wonderful! When God opens the door, no one will shut it! Even when the enemy is around you, the God of Israel, God almighty will make it, in the mighty name of Jesus! I was walking with God for thirty eight years and now it’s my time! No one can shut the door for my ministry! No one can pull me down in the mighty name of Jesus! I refuse it! I am praying for you. Whether you are old like me, whether you are young, this is the time for revival in Jesus’ holy name, hallelujah!

Ms. Jeani…

That goes right along with what God did in David’s life. When David cried out to God, God could handle it. In fact He was waiting for it. And that was before the cross.

Do we understand God’s love for us? He wants to be with us and the enemy hates it. The enemy absolutely cannot stand that God’s love for you will not fail. He hates it. In fact that is why the enemy accuses you day and night before the Father because he wants to convince the Father somehow to fail you. But His love never fails and He is love. So, it’s impossible for God’s love to fail you.

As Constance talked about revival, one of the foundations of revival is to receive. And we’re learning to receive. And as we receive we start to believe who we are in Him. And we no longer care about what we can do, and that’s when the fun starts.

David faced accusation after accusation after accusation. It started with his dad and then his brothers. Even when he went out to the battle his brothers were after him because he wanted to hear about the reward for killing Goliath. And even his reward for killing Goliath which was Michal, Saul’s daughter, she accused him too! God is saying “Do you get it?” David, the youngest, the lowest, ended up benefiting his family. They didn’t have to pay any taxes. All because He cried out to God. That’s you, that’s every one of you.

Absolutely every one of you know who you are in Christ will change the world. Father, we receive our identity in Christ right now.

Ms. Sue…

If you noticed David had never spoke what they said about him. He never agreed with it. You have to watch your words. What they speak of you, you put under the blood.

Father, in the name of Jesus, any words that have been spoken over us as a baby and on up, any negative words that are not from You but from the enemy’s camp, we cancel them, call them null and void and put them under the blood of Jesus and they are under our feet and you have no stronghold on us, you have nothing you can say or do that would hinder the work of God for us to do in our lives. We thank You for it, Father. We speak blessings over ourselves! We speak that we are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus, more than a conqueror through Him. I thank You, Father, that whatever You have for us in our lives, we will fulfill it, complete our destiny that You have placed us on this earth to do so we may bring You the glory, and all honor to You Father in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ms. Jeani…

Here is David totally rejected and constantly reminded of it… let’s just laugh about that. It’s actually kind of funny (ha, ha, ha).

So, then he keeps moving with God. He just keeps moving, just keeps going, kills the lion and the bear, kills Goliath. The people that really matter to him in his life, don’t care. They don’t care. But then look at the people that benefited from it… Now what I am about to tell you, these are the people that benefit from your hunger from God, from your refusal to stop going to God. Don’t shut Him out! Now, some people are not going to like what I am about to say but I am being honest. This is my experience with my Dad. Sometimes the best way for me to get close to Him is to just have a fit. If I am going through times and I feel frustrated and I just can’t get to that place of believing, I just have a fit. He’s my Dad! Hello. And guess what He does? He smiles at me and He brings me back to faith.

I think David did that. Read your Bible.

So, as a result of that, which is prayer sometimes, in Samuel 22:2, listen to the people that were David’s mighty warriors: everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, everyone who’s discontented. People are counting on your relationship with Him. I am talking to every one of you. None of you can get out of this conversation. Every one of you, your relationship with God matters to other people. I want to say this in a way where you don’t feel beat up, that it will empower you. I want you to know that you have a responsibility to other people and you can fulfill that responsibility by just keeping your relationship with God. And then people get your overflow. Just stay focused on Him. They’ll get your overflow. And then people around you will become mighty warriors.

I am going to read to you what some of these mighty warriors that were in distress, in debt, and discontented, what they ended up doing because David pursued God.

One of them, “raised his spear against eight hundred men, whom he killed in one encounter.” So there is someone in your life because of your relationship with God that has had massive victory. And I declare today that you are about to find out who it is.

Another one “stood his ground and struck down the Philistines till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword.” Wait, I thought he was in distress, in debt, and discontented? But I guess after he got around someone who had a relationship with God regardless of accusation after accusation after accusation, um… his life changed.

Another one, in “a field full of lentils…” I love this one. This guy had a little field of lentils and he was not going to let anyone get a lentil. Isn’t that awesome? Maybe that was his calling. Here is what it said, “in a field full of lentils, Israel’s troops fled.” So, they even learned. They were like, okay so Israel fled when David killed Goliath. David has a massive relationship with God. So do I now. I don’t care if people leave. I’m just going to keep going. That’s what you do by just being who you are. And anyone here right now that doesn’t know how powerful they are… It’s doesn’t matter. The Holy Spirit it going to tell you.

So this guy is in a field full of lentils and he “took his stand in the middle of the field and he defended it. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the LORD brought about a great victory.”

Another one, “He raised his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed,”

Another one, “He struck down Moab’s two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion. And he struck down a huge Egyptian. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.”

All because David pursued God!! All because you pursued God!! So, Pastor Lynne said a few things on Saturday that I loved. She said when we believe God sometimes we get hurt. Well, it happened with David all the time. But it’s way better to get hurt because you won’t give up then to get hurt because you did give up and you’re miserable.

Also, David was really inappropriate to a lot of people just like Smith Wigglesworth was really inappropriate to a lot of people, just like we all can be really inappropriate to a lot of people.

I am going to read this passage of when David was dancing in his underpants, at least that is what some illustrations show. He could have just been in a linen smock. But it wasn’t appropriate for a king. I mean David got to such a place of knowing who he was in Christ that he not only danced before the Lord, he danced before the Lord in front of the nation he was going to rule. And he danced in a culture where to worship, you sacrifice and then he ends up dancing to worship. I mean the guy was a culture changer and he was a bit of a shmuck. It just matters that he stuck with God. Okay.

14) Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. 15) So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet. 16) Now as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter,…

Michal, the one that was the prize for killing Goliath. Now, remember that. So, she seemingly has a lot of credibility. She knows the culture in Israel; she was the prize.

…Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window

She wasn’t even a part of it but David wouldn’t let that stop him. Think about things that you have let stop you. Let the Holy Spirit show you right now.

…Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.

When people of seeming credibility despise you… I’m declaring over you right now, that you become so strong in the Lord that it doesn’t move you. One thing Pastor Lynne said “We don’t care if we look stupid or do something that offends people, if we know we are obeying God.”

I declare over you that you actually know when you are obeying God and a “Michal” in your life doesn’t get to tell you you’re not. No!

 17) So they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

He ushered in a huge period of time of peace and prosperity for Israel.

18) And when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.

His heart was for the people.

19) Then he distributed among all the people, among the whole multitude of Israel, both the women and the men,…

All the time, Michal could have participated in this. She could have been part of this. But instead she decided to despise it because he’s being inappropriate. Really? I’m repenting right now in my heart anytime I’ve despise what I didn’t understand.

20) Then David returned to bless his household and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David…

And there was Michal. The Word keeps referring her as “Saul’s daughter.” She could never get past the pride of her past. She was Saul’s daughter, not David’s Wife. God help us with that. And you know what? He does help us with that. There is no condemnation when we are in Jesus. He helps us with that. So, hey, if we got a prick in our heart just how, we can let God change us.

…and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said,

Oh, now she wants to meet David. Now she is taking initiative.

Anytime people take initiative to come after you, we just plead the blood over our hearts right now, that because we’ve allowed God to purify our hearts and convince us of our worth and our value and our righteousness and each other’s worth and value, we just keep moving. Anytime you want to come up here and worship and dance before the Lord and your nervous about how it will look, you just keep moving. This is a place of freedom. And I can tell you personally from Pastor Ray, we are all longing for it! Do we all know how unqualified I am. I am just a little bit crazy that’s all! You guys matter!

So, here comes the enemy and said to David “How glorious was the king of Israel today,

She is telling the truth that he really was glorious.

…who stripped himself of his kingly robes and uncovered himself in the eyes of his servants’ maids as one of the worthless fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!

That was absolutely true, a servant king, the picture of Jesus. But David knew and discerned she wasn’t encouraging him. But I love David’s response. And I declare David’s response over all of us today. That as we’ve come through times when those we’ve counted on to encourage us have accused us and we kept moving with God and we got strengthened in Him and learned who we were in Him, we didn’t even blink. In fact, this is how we responded to the enemy.

21) David said to Michal, It was before the Lord, Who chose me above your father and all his house to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the Lord. Therefore will I make merry [in pure enjoyment] before the Lord. 22) I will be still more lightly esteemed than this,…

He is like, okay. You don’t like it. I am going to keep going and be even more humble. It’s like when they were upset with Peter for being bold and he asked for more boldness.

This whole thing is putting me in a really good mood. I hope it’s doing the same for you (ha, ha, ha).

22) I will be still more lightly esteemed than this, and will humble and lower myself in my own sight [and yours].

By the way, you’re not going to like me even more after this.

…But by the maids you mentioned, I will be held in honor. 23) And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.

You know it’s God’s way of saying He really wants us to just move forward with Him and forget about the rest. And it’s okay if you mess up. Did you just hear what I said? Pastor Lynne this weekend admitted they don’t know what they are doing. Isn’t that awesome? I love that we have leaders that are honest and mighty. I don’t know, it kind of sounds like David.

Then David is mentioned in Acts and Peter is taking about him. And he says.

 24) God destroyed the cords of death and raised him up,…

When you continue in your relationship with God, people make reference to what you’ve said because your words make an impact, they free people. And it’s already happened. Every one of you have said things to people that have freed them. This is the very thing that David prophesied about Jesus. Okay, think about this. His hunger for God caused Him to see Jesus. Our hunger for God causes us to see Jesus in us. All we have to do is stay with Him. I’ve had times when I didn’t feel well. When I don’t feel well, I still haven’t developed the skill of getting in the Word when I don’t feel well. I want to. So, do you know what I do “God help me. God help me. God help me.” That’s what I do. And guess what? He does.

‘I continually see the Lord in front of me.
He’s at my right hand, and I am never shaken.
26) No wonder my heart is glad and my glory celebrates!

My mouth is filled with his praises,
and I have hope that my body will live

27) because you will not leave my soul among the dead,
nor will you allow your sacred one to experience decay.
28) For you have revealed to me the pathways to life,
and seeing your face fills me with euphoria!’ Acts 2:24-28 (TPT)

Peter was reference in Psalm 16 which I am going to read. Every one of us as we walk out of the chapel this is what we are going to walk away with.8) Because you are close to me and always available,
my confidence will never be shaken,
for I experience your wrap-around presence every moment.
9) My heart and soul explode with joy—full of glory!
Even my body will rest confident and secure.
Psalm 16:8-9 (TPT)

We are going to play that song again. As we listen to it let His refiner’s fire burn away the lies that have held you captive, let them expose anything that has kept you from boldness, anything that has kept you timid, let them expose those things. And before we play that I am going to read this really quick from Bill Johnson.

Ms. Sue…

I daily face condemnation. Twenty four hours a day, if I do something it’s wrong. If I don’t do something, it’s wrong. If I say something, it’s wrong. If I don’t say anything, it’s wrong. The Lord has taught me to praise every time. I have gotten to where I walk away, I get by myself, I worship, and I praise Him. I have such joy in my heart and such peace. And I see their faces angrier and angrier and troubled more and more every day because of it. But I am praying for them. So, they are coming out of it in Jesus’ name.

Ms. Jeani…

That is good. And by the way was there anything wrong with David’s walk because none of his brothers were his mighty men? No. Was there anything wrong with Jesus because someone in his close circle committed suicide? No.

The following is Experiencing the Impossible from Bill Johnson:

If you live cautiously, your friends will call you wise. You just won’t move many mountains.

While there is a caution born out of wisdom, our challenge is to spot the counterfeit-whatever comes from the fear of man. This kind of fear is an affliction of the heart.

(That affliction of the heart was burned out of David because he just stuck with his Dad. We are experiencing that right now in the chapel.)

It causes us to silence courage by wondering what someone will think of us if we make a bold move. I believe this single issue has caused more stunted growth in the people of God than any other issue.

History is filled with the stories of brave men and women of God who broke out of the acceptable norm only to raise the bar on what was considered to be the normal Christian life. Their breakthroughs changed how we do life, and even more importantly, what we can expect to take place through our lives. But they paid a price. Today they are the heroes of the faith. But in their day, they were often rejected and maligned by their peers. Many of them died lonely and despised by the church. As tragic as that is, it reveals an issue that everyone faces in measure, but not everyone is willing to embrace as a challenge-we must demonstrate the life of Christ in the full measure of love, purity and power, regardless of the cost.

Ms. Jeani…

And how do we do that? We get in His presence. We are going to play the song again. Really listen to the words. One thing I like about the video, you get to see an illustration of hunger and genuine worship and it can open your heart to really let God show you, convince you, of your righteousness in Him.

I am going to leave you with the Word the Lord gave me for all of us.
