Change is needed…
So in my heart this morning, some things just went off in my spirit about change. And I really feel that we are to pray into changes. God’s plan is forever settled, isn’t it? And His plan is going to come to pass and nothing can stop God’s plan from coming to pass. That’s a really good thing. We’re on the winning team. But change is needed. And I know that the Lord is working change. And, you know, the neat thing about prayer that I just want to remind you of this morning is that prayer actually starts with the Father. He moves in our hearts, on our hearts, to pray and He gives us the words and the expressions to pray because there are things that He is wanting to do and He’s wanting to bring His Word to pass. And He moves on us to pray in cooperation with him. And there’s just a legal jurisdiction there. As we begin to call for what He’s calling for, it looses Him to go to work and to move. Doesn’t it? That’s what we see. This is a unique and wonderful partnership that was always in His heart to work with us, and for us to work with Him.
Another word for change is transformation…
And I’m thinking about some change scriptures this morning. And I just think let’s just call for change this morning. Change in the political, change in the nations, change where leaders are concerned. And I’m not necessarily talking about what our desires would be to move people in or out, but just calling for godly change, for God to do what it is that He’s wanting to do to move on people’s hearts. He loves people and He wants people to come to Him. And let’s just call for change in the body of Christ, transformation. So really another word for change is transformation. And I’m going to read 2nd Corinthians 3:17–18. “Now the Lord is the spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty but we all with unveiled face.” Isn’t that great. We don’t have to be veiled to come before the Lord now. “But beholding, as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed.” There’s something about beholden the glory of the Lord changes us. We are singing about that. And let’s call for that. I just believe that the glory of the Lord is to be increased, the manifestation of that glory in the earth and in the church.
We are being transformed into the image of Him…
“But when we with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory just as by the spirit of the Lord.” And I think that’s extraordinary. We’re not changed into an image we think we should be. We’re changed in the image of Him. It’s already been defined, right? Where He’s taking us has already been defined. It’s really not up for discussion. He knows. And we’re to be transformed into that very same image as He is, so are we to be in the world.
God is interested in bringing change to the earth…
And then the other scripture I’m just going to read that comes to my heart today is a familiar one too. Romans 1:1–2. “But I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God.” Aren’t you glad He’s merciful? “…that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but there’s this word again, “be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and the perfect will of God.” And so there’s that change again? So God is interested in bringing change into the earth. He’s interested in change in His church, that we would become more and more like Him. He’s interested in changing our beliefs in the way we think. He’s interested in changing nations and governments and leaders and all kinds of things. So let’s pray into change today. Can we do that?
Prayed…
Lord, we’re lifting you up as the author and the finisher… the author of the plan… the finisher of the plan… the author of our lives… the finisher of our lives.
Father, we declare your glory to the nations. You are glorious. And you are working. You are working in all the earth.
Father, we pray about transformation. We pray into those changes and we call for change… change in the economic system… not only in our nation and in our lives, but around the world…
We call for change… there needs to be change… we call for godly change. Your kind of change… in our nation, amongst our government leaders and the things that are going on…
We’re asking you to do what only you can do… there would be such a change that you would be so elevated…
We call for change in the spiritual climate, a change in the spiritual atmosphere… a change in mindsets and belief systems where the enemy’s been working through darkness to deceive and to manipulate…
We say more light, light, light, where your Word is being elevated.
Father, we’re lifting up the people in our nation… we are praying for the people of the nations, the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom. And I’m asking for more light in Europe, more light across the 10/40 window. More light in North Korea…
We pray for light on works of darkness… on the workings of men, unscrupulous people that are working to try and resist you and resist the truth who want to hinder the truth. We pray the light on their doing and on their deeds…
And so right now we pray that there would be a flood of light to people’s hearts… that they would see their need for a Savior, that they would see Jesus… they would cry out for Jesus… they would see truth…
Father, I stand before you and I ask you for the more, the more that Jesus died for the fullness of that, the fullness of that to be in manifestation… your glory manifested and recognized…
Father, we pray into that Great Commission… to go into all the nations… the going, the going… everything that’s a part of that going … everything that’s needed for that sending for that…
Jesus said that we are to make disciples of all the nations. And so, Father, we pray into that… we pray into the evangelism part of it and the reaching part of that and the church planting part of that… we pray into the training part of that and the financial provision and the resources for that and the laborers that are needed…
Father, we’re lifting up the “go ye into all the world and make disciples of all the nations.” And so, Father, we’re paying for all the nations, your eyes are on all the nations. You have a desire for all the nations. You love all the nations and so we’re lifting them up…every nation, every kindred, every tribe, every dialect, every language…
We’re calling for those to come out of darkness into the marvelous light… we’re calling for the salvation of those who are lost…
We are asking you for a worldwide awakening revival… a harvest coming out of this nation, a harvest coming out of all the nations…
And, Satan, we bind you from blinding people’s eyes to the glorious light of the Gospel. They have a right to choose…
Father, we’re not asking you for just a couple or a few, we’re asking for the masses… we’re asking for all… we’re praying for all to be saved.
