Morning Prayer Summary for Thursday, January 16, 2020

Pastor Ray…

I have a couple scriptures to start out with this morning. I love the Message translation.

Holy Spirit, thank You for Your presence this morning. We’re not trying to do something that we think should be done, but we know for sure we need Your presence. We’re changed in Your presence. Things are changed. We need Your presence, so we welcome You this morning. Thank You, Holy Spirit. Thank You for the blood and its power working on our behalf today individually, corporately, and all over America. We declare it again: “Jesus is Lord over America!” Hallelujah!

This is from Colossians 3. I’m going to read a portion of it. Starting in verse 9 it says:

Colossians 3:1–17, The Message

9–11 Don’t lie to one another. You’re done with that old life. It’s like a filthy set of ill-fitting clothes you’ve stripped off and put in the fire. Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it. All the old fashions are now obsolete. Words like Jewish and non-Jewish, religious and irreligious, insider and outsider, uncivilized and uncouth, slave and free, mean nothing. From now on everyone is defined by Christ, everyone is included in Christ.

12–14 So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.

Pastor Ray commented…

For sure, as pray-ers, we need to be like this. We need compassion in our lives, yielding to it. The opposite of compassion could be non-caring, don’t care for other people, unkindness. The opposite of humility would be prideful. Quiet strength—we don’t have to make a lot of noise; we don’t need to shout. Just know that we have strength from heaven. And then discipline. To me that’s doing exactly what God has called us to do in His Word. Quick to forgive… these are things we are called to be. I love how the Message makes it like a new wardrobe that God picked out for us. Now verse 15…

15–17 Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.

Pastor Ray continued…

As pray-ers, that’s how we should be. Before we worship the Lord, I have two short confessions I want us to make together. One is for financial security. It’s based on Phil. 4:19. And then the other confession is about healing, based on Isaiah 53:5 or 1st Peter 2:24. I’m going to say the first part and then together for this financial security we’re going to say, “My God shall supply all my needs.” That’s going to be your part.

Confession of Financial Security

Financial security and success is certain when you stand on God’s promise to supply all your needs (Phil. 4:19). Let your confession be:

No matter how many unpaid bills I have…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

Regardless of the condition of the economy…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

Regardless of the size of my bank account…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

When financial embarrassment stares me in the face…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

Regardless of the tight money situation…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

In spite of past financial failures…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

When things appear all wrong…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

When things appear all right…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

Wherever I am…
Response: My God shall supply all my need.

Pastor Ray…

We take comfort in knowing that it’s true, based on the written Word of God. We know the Word is true, true, true. Then for healing, this confession is based on Isaiah 53:5 or 1st Peter 2:24. So like before, I’ll say the first part and you say, “By His stripes, I am healed.”

Healing Confession
If you need healing, speak these words aloud.

No matter what symptoms are present…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

Regardless of what others may say about my health…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

In spite of past experiences…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

When pain strikes my body…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

Wherever I am…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

Regardless of how I feel…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

When symptoms reappear…
Response: By His stripes, I am healed.

Pastor Ray…

We don’t go by our feelings. We go by the Word of God and we have His Word on it. Thank You for the cross today, Lord. Thank You for the power of the blood that was shed on the cross. We don’t have to be in fear about anything because we have Your Word to declare “By His stripes, I am healed.” Amen!

I like us to declare out loud. When you speak words out loud, you hear it and the more you hear it, the more you get in faith about it. That’s the way it works. Everything is good and right and working for our good.

Annie, would you lead us in worship?

We exalt You, Lord, in every way… John 16:13 says in the New American Standard Bible, “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative [authority], but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” Don’t you love it? He’s not speaking any kind of words. He’s hearing what the Father says and then repeats it to us. The Contemporary English Version says, “The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn’t speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen.” I feel inside me right now that the more… thank You, Lord… the more that we enter into these positions or places going through doors and walk in His ways and spend time with Him and be continually refreshed and refilled with Him where the fire is actually operating in us and through us, that the Spirit will speak to us. What He hears from heaven, He’ll speak that to us and it will be truth. So we can expect… I’m just thinking of when we speak to others of needs and plans and answers that need to come forth… concerning healing, health, wholeness, wealth, prosperity, finances… when we do these things not by works but just spend time. Sometimes like we do, we’re in His presence. When Annie leads us spending time in His presence, it’ll keep us revived, restored, on fire and fear will have no place in us. For we will continually … because we’re hearing what He’s speaking to us. It’s going to be okay. It’s going to work out. Just keep moving, walking, going the way you’ve been going. Don’t turn around and go back. Keep going ahead. Move in a forward march. Marching in Him unto God and taking our place on the earth in this race that we’ve been called to accomplish.

Lord, thank You for the blood… we’ve overcome by the blood of the Lamb… it’s clear in Revelation we have overcome because You have overcome… that blood is working for us… right now! Thank You… we plead the blood over our families, over the churches, the body of Christ… this church… every one that calls Living Word their home church… we declare the blood of Jesus a fresh declaration believing with every fiber of our being that the blood works when we use it… thank You, Father, for it… it’s working for protection… thank You for the power in the blood.

Annie, Let’s sing about the blood.

Pastor Ray…

If you have someone in your family or someone you know that needs healing, the declaration that we made this morning can and will work on their behalf, because by His stripes we “were” healed. When we declare it and believe it and speak it over others in need, it works. It’s working. So let’s lift up those names. Maybe a name comes before your face or mind, someone in need, declare this morning on their behalf. Wherever they are, whatever is happening, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus things are changing and they will keep on turning and changing and going in the right direction. We use the power and authority given us… that power and authority in that blood today and we apply it by faith to those in need. We believe for change. Whatever the attack is, has to go… leave. By the stripes of Jesus, the Bible says so, so we say so… by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed. We take authority and hold the blood against the operation of the enemy however he might come in… or try to come back. When symptoms have gone and then reappear… No! We say no to it. In Jesus’ name. We declare victory in the blood. Thank You for the authority given us.

We thank You for the blood…

Pastor Ray…

Thank You for the blood… every need has been met… restore… restart… power, holy power in the blood… miracles… supernatural events, signs, wonders… we push out the borders… we pull up the stakes and push them way out… for increase in the body… the best ways… right ways… Your ways and plans… Father, we plead that blood over our country… Your Word tells us to do it… praying over positions of authority, those in leadership… we cover America … the islands… we lean not on our own understanding… we trust in You and Your Word… top to bottom and side to side for every state… the blood applied… we pray for those in authority and we pray for President Trump…

Father, in the name of Jesus and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them, and let them not depart from Your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by Your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame. We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name.

Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our congress, our supreme court, our military leaders, and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority You have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival, and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual, and devilish to depart and vanish until Your mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy, and prosperity in Jesus’ name, Amen.
