Pastor Ray…

Have you ever had situations come up where you know what the Word says about you? You know what the Word says about your family, your church, your country. But different things come up right in your face and you catch yourself not totally standing on what the Word has said. The enemy likes to bring up stress, an uneasiness. He likes to bring forth doubt. But Miss Annie starts worshiping the Lord and we lift Him up and magnifying Him, but when we magnify Him, we’re magnifying His Word. He is the Word and we’re magnifying what He said to us, no matter what the situation might be. So in Him, and of course standing on His Word, we can rest in Him knowing He’s working on it for us. He’s already completed the victory for us. The battle was already won. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.

So, if we just remind ourselves… and to me, it’s almost like a daily thing. Where the more we hunger for Him, it seems almost like boom, bang, little fires here and there. But there is a fire… that’s the fire of the Holy Ghost that must be burning bright. Amen? Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord.

I have a scripture this morning. Jeremiah 6:16. It came up in my heart this morning. “Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” And at the end of this verse, it says, “But they said, We will not walk in it!”

What a mistake! When the Lord says, “thus saith the Lord… stand by those roads and look around. Ask for the eternal paths” and sometimes we think, “yeah, but we’re here in 2021. We don’t want to go looking back somewhere.” Well, a lot of the Word is looking back. It’s talking about what took place so we can see how to run our race in 2021.

So, over in Jeremiah 7:1, “The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house and proclaim there this word and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. 3 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. 4 Trust not in the lying words [of the false prophets who maintain that God will protect Jerusalem because His temple is there], saying, This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.”

You know what? We’re not going to make it the way we should make it if we use that as an excuse, Living Word is in Minneapolis. Your church is in whatever city… It’s something we have to do individually. Stand on the Word. Isn’t that true? So this morning, just based on that… so our nation needs a revival, needs an awakening. We do. There’s always more fire. There’s always a greater desire. So I just was led to pick this book from Leonard Ravenhill called “Revival Prayer.” He quotes a couple of different men of God from old. Is it okay to look back? Yes! Hey, listen, if it worked for them, it’ll work for us. If the Word worked for them, it’s going to work for us.

This is Samuel Chadwick. What he said was there is no power like that of prevailing prayer. Of Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob wrestling in the stillness of the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse and grief, Jesus in sweat of blood. Add to this list from the records of the Church your personal observation and experience and always there’s a cost of passion unto blood. Such prayer prevails. It turns ordinary mortals into men and women of power. It brings power. It brings fire. It brings rain. It brings life. It brings God.

Okay, Annie, just reading that and you already sang about fire… Sing a little bit of that “send the fire, send the rain.”

Pastor Ray prayed…

Holy Spirit, move upon us and move through us. Move in our churches. Set the Church on fire. Bring your fire and set the Church on fire. Send your rain and the wind that would blow right through… blow out all of the debris and blow in your will and purpose, your plan. Hallelujah! We need it. We want it. We desire it more and more and more. We choose to go your ways, your steps, your plans, your purposes. Thank you. So we come… so we’ll come up and we’ll see… and enter mighty mighty moves if your precious Holy Spirit… that we might enter in and move with you… not what we think, but what you say, Lord… fire, fire, fire of your Spirit… fresh baptisms… we pray for the fire… we ask for more fire… Oh, the desire to receive the desire… The desire to move… Thank you, Father, for heartfelt prayers… not mental ones, but heart ones … we enter in … not band-aids, but restoration days… over on into more… into the greater…  to break through… enough to step into the new… the name that’s above every other name, Jesus… in Jesus’ name by the power of the name… the blood… body, come on up… there’s a mandate for it…. turn, turn, turn, turn… turning it over… turning it completely over and around and upside down… we command it to be… we command it to come forth… walk in those ways, walk in those steps… take the steps… you know all the names, Lord, all the names, all the names, Lord… the lives Lord…  go, ministering spirits, move, go, go, go for it… minister on our behalf… we take authority… we bind those spirits in Jesus’ name… we take the authority you’ve given onto us.. we use that authority with the blood backing us up with the name above all names… in the name of Jesus… No, we say no to you. We say no to your plans. No to your will… no, no, no… but fire, but the fire of God, but the fire of the Holy Ghost burning and burning… in the name of Jesus… yes, Lord, yes…we cover that… that’s like a region or a realm or something… or a room.. we cover it with the blood of Jesus… we plead the blood of Jesus, pushing back all evil steps and ways and plans by the blood… for we have overcome and we are overcoming through the precious Holy blood of the Lamb…

Okay, Annie, let’s sing about the blood, please. We’re moving… the blood, the blood…
