Morning Prayer Summary for Thursday, August 5, 2021

Jeannie shared…

Thank you for joining us today. So I love how the Holy Spirit works because where he’s taking us today… The song that Holy Spirit put on Peg’s heart is where He’s taking us today. So when you think about the refiner’s fire, he burns away every lie. And it welcomes the truth. He burns away death, and it brings life. He burns away debt, and it brings abundance. So even as we listen to this again, and as we worship Him, and as we say, “refiner’s fire take my life,” we’re really just receiving life. Is it really that much of a sacrifice?

Peg led group in singing “Refiner’s Fire”

Prayed…

We surrender to you, Father. Burn away in the chaff.

As we surrender to you, more life comes.

We stay in that fire with you…

We declare we are not afraid of the fire. We’re on fire for you.

Jesus, consume all the dross. You take whatever… just clean by heart.

Jeannie shared…

I wanted to talk about suddenlies, but He had something else in mind. Truth. So I first Googled the definition of truth. So here are a couple things. The best 22 definitions of truth. What does Socrates say about truth? What is the truth? The philosophy of truth. And then I looked at different definitions and… wow. I don’t necessarily mean that in the best way. So then I came across a definition that the Holy Spirit highlighted from the Oxford dictionary. The truth. Now I’m going to get into what the truth really is in a minute here, but I’m going to give you this definition first. The true facts about something, rather than the things that have been invented or guessed. The true facts about something. Do we need the true facts to come out about some things? Rather than things that have been invented or guessed.

So then I went to the Word regarding the truth. I just love that the truth is a person. Is it a person that’s been around from the beginning… a person that died for you? The truth is a person! “Jesus said to him,” in John 14:6, “I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life.” So every time I see the truth, I’m going to say it again with Jesus in mind. Jesus said to him, I am the way I am the Christ and I am the life.

And so you can naturally come to the conclusion that the truth brings the way and the truth brings life. In John 8:32, “And you will know the truth. And the truth will set you free.” And you will know Jesus, and Jesus will set you free in. The Passion version: “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are my true followers. For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom and truth into your lives.” For if you embrace Jesus, it will release true freedom into your lives.

So when you embrace Jesus, Jesus releases true freedom into your life.

Philippians 4:8 “For the rest brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, and whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable. Whatever is kind, gracious, if there is any virtue in excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things.”

In these days right now, we have so much to praise God for. Just the fact that He trusts us with these times. That’s exciting. That we have the truth. Everything we look at today, we look through the filter of the truth, which is Jesus, which are His promises, which are the words that have been spoken. It’s the truth that frees our country. And that is Jesus. And that is those that represent Jesus. It’s never changed, not even one time. The truth changed Saul’s name to Paul. The truth of who Jesus really was caused Saul to turn and get a new name and do massive, ridiculous things for the kingdom, even when he was tortured and imprisoned. Because it was the truth. And the truth is a person and the truth is worth it all. It’s worth it all.

Lord, burn that in our hearts right now that the truth is worth it. The truth is the only thing that is going to stand. When the truth comes back, He will say, “Will I find faith on the earth?” Your intimacy with the truth, your intimacy with Jesus, brings rest, brings courage, brings wholeness, brings a carefree letting go in the middle of opposition. And it brings massive wins.

Because this is how we pray. We pray through the lens of the truth. We pray through the lens of His promises. We prayed through the lens of all of His promises which are “yes and amen.”

It’s going to be worth it all. In fact, it’s worth it all right now.

Holy Spirit, you minister to us that it’s worth it all, right now

And it’s about to get better and better and better and better and better because we have the truth. And it’s not a fact, it’s not a book. It’s a word that’s alive and it’s the one that’s alive in you. And if you don’t have the truth, you can have Him right now. It’s really that easy.

John 17: “And I have given and delivered them to your word. And the world has hated them because they are not of the world just as I am not of the world.” So the truth is new to the world. And, you know, the world’s not going to let you in on this, but it’s pretty obvious that the world is crying out for the truth.

“I do not ask that you will take them out of the world.” I can’t even tell you how much I’ve grown to love that statement. You know what Jesus is saying, “I believe in Me in you.” The co-laboring is the whole thing. I’m not asking for you to be taken out of the situation right now. I’m asking that we co-labor in this situation right now. That’s what I’m asking.

This can either be a complete, full on happy party blast with the truth. Or we can get into mixture and start agreeing with the enemy. We always know we’re agreeing with a lie when it brings us down, when we start to lose hope, when we start to lose purpose. But the truth is that the best is upon us. And the truth is a person. The truth has to come out because it’s Jesus. The truth has to come out because the truth is the King of Kings, because the truth is the Lord of hosts, because the truth is the alpha and the omega, because the truth never changes and it has to come out.

“I do not ask that you will take them out of the world, but that you will keep and protect them from the evil one.” The Word says that whatever Jesus asks the Father did, so we’re capped and we’re protected from the evil one. They are not of the world. They don’t belong to the world. See you don’t even belong to the world’s economy. You don’t belong to what the world is offering in terms of health and welfare. You don’t belong to that.

“As I am not of the world.” Sanctified them, purify, consecrate, separate them for yourself, make them holy by the truth. Your word is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” And sometime today I’m going to read one of the prophetic words  by Tim Sheets. He’s referring to the ecclesia and those are “the set aside, sent out ones.” We’ve been sent out into the world.

Peg led group in worship…

Prayed…

Father, we thank you for the honor that we can believe.

We thank you that you have not left us nor forsake us.

We thank you for the honor to represent, to be hated by a world that is crying for you.

I thank you, Father, that as we’re being tested and tried, that the believers can stand up and even in the hardest times, the Holy Spirit is right there to say, “look, you’re going to get through this if you do it with me. I know you love Me because I loved you first.”

So, Father, I just pray for the people right now, that as we’re going through things, the Holy Spirit can remind us, as you go through this, it’s going to be hard. Stuff is going to get burned up that you probably really, really liked.

I just thank you, Father, that your Word is always there encouraging people.

Father, I thank you that we have strength and courage to see and recognize all the things that the enemy has stolen from us.

Father, I just speak encouragement over the people who are going through things.

We just praise your holy name.

Father, minister to us right now that you are the God of the impossible. ‘

We thank you right now that in Jesus, there’s no variation or shadow or anything.

So Father, we thank you that the truth is a person… the truth supersedes all the facts about something… the truth supersedes things that have been invented or guessed. So I thank you that in our lives, in education, in media, in the Church, in our households, in our cities, in our states and our country, the truth stands.

The truth goes out like a trumpet… Father, I thank you for that.

I thank you for your covenant with America. I thank you that St. Paul had a Damascus moment, just like St. Paul, Minnesota is having her Damascus moment… the encounter with the truth… and the truth far supersedes anything that has been invented or guessed.

Jesus is the way for Minnesota. Jesus is the truth over Minnesota, and it brings life to Minnesota.

Jesus is the way for America. Jesus is the truth proclaimed over America, and Jesus is life to America.

America values Jesus … America puts Jesus on the throne and keeps Him there.

One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

We thank you that it’s already begun…

We thank you that if we’re in the middle of it… we’re in the middle of a victory.

Massive, ridiculous victorious awakening throughout the land, throughout the schools… throughout healthcare… throughout elections … throughout education… throughout media and entertainment … throughout business … throughout banking.

I thank you that the Church is the lion that roars truth throughout the land.

We proclaim right now that America knows the truth and the truth sets her free.

America knows Jesus intimately and Jesus intimately solidifies that she is the land of the free and the brave.
