Morning Prayer Summary for Thursday, April 23, 2020

Pastor Ray shared…

It’s good to be here today to get into His presence. We’re going to lift Him up today. We’re going to look up to where all of our help comes from. This morning, we take comfort in knowing who He is and what He’s done for us. How free and victorious we are. When the Father sent His Son, the blood He shed on the cross at Calvary was for our behalf, individually and corporately. That we might be free. We’ve been made righteous in Him.

(Pastor Ray took a few minutes to share about the death of a beloved Living Word member, Erika Bergstrom.)

Prayed…

Father, we pray over Erika’s family, that the joy in knowing where she is, in her heavenly home, and if anyone would receive a cheering on… “come on, come on,” it would be her family. Do what God has called you to do. Come on you can do it. You can go forth. It would be her family. So we cover them with the blood of Jesus and declare the future is bright. Things will turn out right. God is still on the throne. The power of the Holy Spirit is and will always be with each one of you and I declare over them strength, joy, internal joy that brings strength, knowing every single one of us will reach that time when we too will enter our heavenly home. So we lift them up, praying for their futures in Jesus’ name. The comfort of the Holy Spirit be upon them.

Pastor Ray…

I love that… the beginning and the end. The alpha and omega and all the way through. Our course, our plan, or our purpose has been preplanned from heaven above. And the steps, the individual steps and then when we’re connected with others, joined together, we know there is much power in agreement. These steps have been preordained also. So it’s not by happenstance that we’re joined together with specific men and women on this earth. We’ve been preordained. It’s been preplanned if and when we’re faithful to take the steps that He shows us to take. He will see to it that we’re joined with those that we can best be joined to, to do the work He’s called us to do. And it’s never just about “me” or “my family” or “my situation.” It’s always outward. As we pray in agreement the words we say based on the written Word, these words have a great effect. And it’s not over right after they’re prayed. The prayers that we’ve prayed here over all these years, like I said, over 30 years and more… these prayers are still working. Prayers don’t just go out and then they’re gone. Music, words sung keep on going. I remember Sharon Stromley saying the songs that I’m singing right now will go on throughout eternity. So we believe to be right where we’re supposed to be with all the right words to speak with ears to hear and hearts softened. We give You free reign this morning to do whatever you want to do in us. Change us. Enlighten us. I know You’re speaking to us, words of faith, encouraging words. Never any words that would stop us in our tracks. Those words are from the enemy. You are a God of more than enough. You are a God of help… all the time. You restoring and changing us. We thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord. To each one of us. This morning, we don’t take it lightly. We’re here for Your purpose and Your plan. With every fiber of our beings, we want to serve You. We want to be men and women of faith, believing that what You said in Your Word is absolutely the truth. So we declare this morning, we’re not turning around, not sitting down, not gonna get into a status quo… we’re lifting You up and we know You are lifting us up and You’re taking us through and You always have victory on Your mind. Victorious in our steps and in Your plans You have for us. Good plans. Plans for the future. Thank You! You are a good, good, good Father.

I want to share this verse in Mark 11:23, 24. “Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].” Or in other words, will receive it. So I saw these little… it’s based on our words and what we say. I found this in an older book of mine from Don Gossett. His whole thing was always “what we say is what we’re going to get.” “What we confess is what we’re going to walk in.” So he would always encourage the body of Christ to watch out what you’re speaking. Watch what you’re saying. Watch over it. So these are just a few things here. He said even when you don’t feel like it, you still confess the right things.

Don Gossett

I speak aloud as often as possible. By His stripes I am healed. (1 Peter 2:24) I say it when I feel like saying it. I say it especially when I don’t feel like saying it. When sharp pain strikes by body, I say it. When I awaken in the middle of the night with some kind of symptom or ailment, I say it. I say it when I get up in the morning and I say it when I go to bed at night. I say it with all confidence, all the confidence that I can muster. I say it when I have no confidence at all! I still say it. I say it, I say it, I say it!

Isaiah 53:5, “With His stripes I am healed.” Healed. Even when we don’t feel it. Even when we don’t know it. Even when we don’t even feel like saying it. So when I’m weak, I break the silence by saying Psalm 27:1, the Lord is the strength of my life. And then Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Yes, I say it when I feel well and strong. But especially I say it when I feel weak and defeated. I say it when I’m on the mountain top of spiritual blessing. And I say it especially when I am way down in the valley of melancholy and despair. Especially then we say Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When fear tries to rise up, I speak with authority. 2 Tim. 1:7, “God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power, of love, and of a sound mind.” I loosen up and I speak up and my fears vanish. Feeling or no feeling, I know that the Lord liveth and abideth and my stand is upon that sure rock.

Thank You, Lord. We give You praise today. We worship and praise You. We lift You up and magnify Your name.

Go ahead, Annie, let’s like Him up…

Pastor Ray continued…

When I’m tempted to doubt God’s Word in the face of a terrible situation, sometimes the devil will try to bring doubt. Don Gossett said, “I doubt the doubt.” Doubt is of the devil and God classifies me as a believer. If I believe, I receive. If I doubt, I do without. I speak with bold assurance. Romans 12:3. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Faith is something that we have for God has given to every man the measure of faith. Faith is what I actually believe in, the very depths of my heart.

That’s not just a religious declaration. It’s faith in Him, believing what He said is true. And then it’s coming to pass.

So when I lack money, I speak these seven words. Phil. 4:19, “My God shall supply all my need.” I say it when I have money in the bank. And I say it when my bank account is flat. I say it when my senses register that I’m prospering. And I say it when it appears I’m poverty stricken. When I live by the Word, two grand promises assure me of these results. Psalm 1:3, “Whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” and then Josh. 1:8, “Thou shalt make thy way prospereth and thou shalt have good success.”

Money and finances are coming up… turning around… increase… things that were closed up are opening up in Jesus’ name… turning around… things are beginning to turn around and everything will move up beyond where we were… it will continually move up and up and up… for things are turning around… things are getting better and better and better… we declare it, speak it, and believe it… we have no doubt about it… and if the enemy tries to bring doubt, we doubt that doubt… things are turning around…

Here’s the last paragraph. “Morning, noon, night, somewhere in between that, we speak God’s Word. This is the greatest self-discipline in which we’ll ever be engaged. To speak God’s Word at all times. When we see the opposite, we speak His Word. So we think God’s Word. Then we speak it aloud as often as possible. We say it when the pressure from the enemy is upon us and we say it when we’re basking in the ecstasies of the spirit. We say it when we feel like saying it and especially when we don’t even feel like saying it, we still say it. We say the Word. We speak the Word. We have what we say. What we confess, we’ll walk out. We will continually speak right in Jesus’ name. We’ll call the things that are not as though they were.

We’ll call those low places and we declare “come on up.” Be smoothed out in Jesus’ name. Times of restoration in this nation. Restoration days and ways…the plans of God… we pray over our leaders and the positions of authority. We pray for our President and send a supply of the Holy Spirit to him… we declare he is strong and wise and has the wisdom from heaven… he’ll make the right decisions and those that are around him speaking to him will speak the right words… if they don’t, he won’t even hear them… he’ll hear what he needs to hear and do what he needs to do… and this country is turning around in the name of Jesus.

No weapon formed against us can prosper… no virus can prosper for suddenly that thing is gone… we do not agree that we’ll be locked up month and month… this nation is bright more and more of the lost are coming to the light…
