Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, November 30, 2018

Pastor Ray shared…

I want to share a testimony. Someone that was here yesterday, heard the word “contested.” He said it exploded inside him. It reminded him with football. In the Vikings team, there are two receivers that are the top two receivers for contested catches in the NFL. Meaning, it’s not just an easy catch. It’s a contested catch. And the opposition, or we’ll say the enemy, is trying to stop them from catching the football.

He said on the weekend, he bought a new snow blower. It was the ultimate snow blower. What he does usually in the morning is read the Word and pray and then he goes to work. But the morning that it snowed, he was so excited about blowing snow that he shoveled the sidewalk and the steps. He threw it on the driveway so he could have more snow to blow. He cranked it up and blew the snow off the driveway. He came in “Yeah!” Then he saw his Bible sitting there. What time is it? He didn’t have time for his Bible and prayer time and get to work on time. The Holy Spirit revealed it to him in this way that, that snow blower “contested” against what he was supposed to do which was to read the Word and pray. But he was so excited about how great that snow blower would be, that he did that instead of doing what he should have done. I thought it was an interesting perspective. There are a lot of contesting going on for what we’re called to do.

I found this older book by Brother Hagin on “Seven Things You Should Know About Divine Healing.” I’m not talking about just healing. I wanted to go through Hebrews first and then I’ll read a testimony.

Hebrews 4:1–3, “For as long, then, as that promise of resting in him pulls us on to God’s goal for us, we need to be careful that we’re not disqualified. We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn’t do them a bit of good because they didn’t receive the promises with faith.”

Okay, the promises were already given but they didn’t receive them because they didn’t have faith for them. It goes on to say, “If we believe, though, we’ll experience that state of resting. But not if we don’t have faith. Remember that God said, Exasperated, I vowed, “They’ll never get where they’re going, never be able to sit down and rest.” But he had already given the promise. Right? “God made that vow, even though he’d finished his part before the foundation of the world. Somewhere it’s written, “God rested the seventh day, having completed his work,” but in this other text he says, “They’ll never be able to sit down and rest.” So this promise has not yet been fulfilled. Those earlier ones never did get to the place of rest because they were disobedient. God keeps renewing the promise and setting the date as today.” So when we keep declaring “when?” “Now!” We’re calling forth things when? Now! Today! Right? So God keeps renewing that promise. He sets the date as today. “Just as he did in David’s psalm, centuries later than the original invitation: Today, please listen, don’t turn a deaf ear . . .”

So this is still a live promise. I love this perspective. It’s alive. It’s for us today. We know the Word is for us. It’s just a different way of looking at it. The promises were already made and He keeps renewing them for today. I love that.

“God wouldn’t keep renewing the appointment for “today.” The promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for God’s people. God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God. So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience. 12-13 God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.”

That’s how critical and important the Word is.

14-16 “Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.”

That’s a good picture, isn’t it? We have access through the blood. Picture that in your heart right now. Close your eyes. What is it that you’ve been believing for? What is it that you’ve been desiring? It’s not all about different needs. It’s also the heart’s desire that God has put within each one of us. Let’s see ourselves walking up to Him. We’ve got the blood. The blood had made a way. We have access to heaven. So we walk by faith right up and we’re ready to receive. We accept God’s mercy and all the help that we need. Whatever it is. Hallelujah!

Prayed…

Thank You for it, Father. For meeting all our needs… the prayers we pray and based on Your Word says… when we pray those words, we know that You hear them and You will answer because You already put forth the answers! … they’re ready for us. We get it. We receive, we receive, we receive it! This morning and today. We thank You so much for Your Word. You keep renewing Your promises. And say, “It’s today!” We receive them for ourselves and for others.

I receive help for one of our family members that’s in surgery right now. I receive help from heaven for him and plead the blood of Jesus over the doctors, over the surgeons. In Jesus’ name. And call his heart to be restored. I’ll receive it on behalf of him. And stand in the gap and believe with him and his family for complete and total restoration and healing. Thank You, Father.

I want to read from brother Hagin’s book. It’s about healing but it goes along with what Hebrews 4 says. These things have already been promised. He’s resting. There are good testimonies at the end of this book. He said he was in St. Louis doing a Full Gospel Businessmen’s meeting. And a couple from Mass. stopped him in the hotel lobby and told him that their 15-year-old son had been healed of an incurable disease at a FGB Convention the previous year. They had been taking him to specialists in New York city every few months. Friends invited the family to the FG sessions. They heard me teach on making a confession of faith. The parents wondered if it would work. The next day when they asked their son “How do you feel?” He said “I was healed yesterday.” “Are you sure?” they asked. “Oh yes, I never was more sure of anything in my life,” he replied. “How are you feeling?” He said, “That’s unimportant. The Word of God says I am healed.” That boy got hold of it and took it. Every time his parents asked him how he was, he answered, “I’m fine.” Finally, the time came for his next checkup in NYC. The doctors were puzzled. They asked to keep him for 3 days to run tests. Every test proved negative. We know it’s incurable and we know he had it, but he doesn’t have it anymore the doctors concluded.

Here’s an opposite case. Brother Hagin said in one of his meetings, this pastor came forward for healing and he prayed for him. Hagin said, “Are you healed?” He poked his stomach and said, “Nope. I didn’t get it. It’s still sore.” At the same time, a 72-year-old man whose sense of balance was impaired and had to be helped to the front to be prayed for by his daughter. He staggered like a drunk without his cane. The doctor said he soon would be confined to a wheel chair. He had hearing aids in both ears. He couldn’t have heard thunder without them. He also was facing major surgery. He was instantly healed. He heard a pocket watch tick. He talked to people in normal tones. And he walked a straight line without his cane. I saw him ten years later when he was 82. No hearing aids. No cane. He had never had an operation. He never had any more pain or symptoms. He was walking straight at 82. Talking normally. And living a full life. Because he received.

Back to the pastor. He was in that same service. He told me, “Brother Hagin, I had to resign my church. I was 56 years old and I ought to be preaching still. I know, but these last ten years have been so much worse. I just can’t carry on. I wish you could help me.” I said, “Well, I can’t. God can’t. Nobody can. You won’t let them.” He said, “Well, I’ve heard you preach, but I’ll tell you, I’m not going to believe that I’ve got something when my physical senses tell me I don’t have it.” I said, “You go over there and sit down and do without your healing, brother. Because you’ll never get it.” I didn’t mean that to be nasty. But it was the truth. And he never got healed. He missed it. Do you see what he was doing? He was walking by the physical senses. If he couldn’t feel healed, he wouldn’t believe he was healed. Physical senses build life fences. They fence God out and fence a person, his sickness, and the devil in. Are you healed? How do you know you are? Well, the Word says so! How do you know you are? Because Matthew 8:17 says Himself took my infirmities and bear my sicknesses and 1st Peter 2:24 says by whose stripes ye were healed. Hallelujah!

Prayed…

We receive it, Lord. All Your Word. We’re not just talking about the healing part of the Word. We’re talking about the fullness of Your Word, the wholeness of Your Word. We’re talking about everything being normal because You already set it forth. Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished!” It’s finished. It’s finished. And He keeps renewing and declaring and moving that date all the way forward to today. Now! Hallelujah!

Prayed for people needing healing…

Is there anyone in here that would like to have hands laid on them for healing? To be restored. If you need that, come up and we’ll lay hands on you right now.

Jim H. said this when he was here. He said, “Just because you have a pain doesn’t mean you’re sick.” I was thinking about this. If you think about the stars, the light we see today, those stars have been gone for millions of years. We see that light but really that star doesn’t exist. So even with sickness, Jesus died on the cross and that sickness was destroyed. But still we see symptoms. But really the sickness doesn’t exist. So if you have a pain, that doesn’t mean you’re sick. So you just have to resist. Then sometimes if you’re having trouble resisting, you come up in the front and you have hands laid on you.

Pastor Ray…

A lot of times, if you have a little pain, the Devil will try to magnify that symptom when really it’s nothing.

Thank You, Jesus. We choose life. We choose peace. We choose health. We choose the anointing. We choose the move of the Holy Spirit. We choose Your fire. Your strength. We choose You today. Salvation. We resist everything that would try to come against that choice. We choose light, revelation. Thank You, Father. We choose to step into those opportunities that You bring to us, Father. We choose to respond to Your Spirit. We choose to step into our place… in Your army, Lord. You said “choose you this day.” We resist those things that would try to consume and pull away… things of this earth… the more we choose You, the less the world becomes real to us. It’s time to walk every day in the Spirit. It’s time to walk in fellowship with You. A constant exchange. Recognizing our place in You. Recognizing where we are and where we stand in You continually. Operating from that place, Lord. It’s time for the body to recognize who they are and what they have and what they can do, Lord… to walk in the authority that You’ve given to us by the blood of Jesus Christ… it’s time to operate and flow in the gifts… to see the operation on a regular basis, Father… that would be no lack in the body… in any way in any area of life… that we would see everything we see in the Word and more, Father… You said we would do greater things. Because we have Your Spirit… we are empowered to prosper in the earth… to succeed… open the eyes of Your people to see and recognize that…

I’m reminded of the statue of Liberty in the harbor. On her is a plaque that says something to the effect, we take in the poor and the weak. The Holy Ghost said, that is what Jesus did, what the Father did. He took them in just like the United States did. But He didn’t intend for them to stay that way. So even though He receives is as poor and weak. He doesn’t intend for us to stay that way. It’s time for us as the body to step into that place. I don’t like to say “step up,” because we’re already there. We don’t need to step up. We’re already there. We just need to walk in it. It’s just recognizing that place that we already are in Him. And just walk it, receive it, and move in that place by the Holy Ghost.

Prayer for America…

Father, in the name of Jesus and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them, and let them not depart from Your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by Your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame. We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name.
Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our congress, our supreme court, our military leaders, and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority You have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival, and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual, and devilish to depart and vanish until Your mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy, and prosperity in Jesus’ name, Amen.
