Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, July 29, 2022

Pastor Dustin…

Welcome to morning prayer, everyone. I’m the youth pastor here at Living Word. When I meet with our volunteers, I usually start with, “This is the day that the Lord has made. I make the decision to rejoice and be glad in it.” Welcome to everybody joining. I hope you’re making the decision this morning to rejoice and to be glad in it, right.

Psalm 91…

I want to begin by reading Psalm 91.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Jesus came to fix our mistake…

I love the part where it says, “I will be with him in trouble.” I love that when you get into trouble or get yourself into trouble, He’ll stay with you. I was talking to Pastor John Matthews the other day. And I said, “Sometimes it’s easier for me to believe that God’s gonna fix it for me if something happened to me that was unjust. But when I’m dealing with consequences from my own laziness, when I make a mistake, it’s a little bit harder for me to really believe that God’s gonna take care of it for me, because I knew if I would’ve just got my act together, then I would’ve been fine. I wouldn’t have had to rely on Him.” And Pastor John said, “The Lord spoke to my heart once and He revealed to me that the whole plan of redemption was because of our mistake! The whole reason Jesus came to the earth was because we messed up and God rescued us in that.”

God will be with you in trouble…

So how much more for every little detail? Why would we assume that because we get ourselves into some other predicament, all of a sudden, God’s like, “You’re gonna have to deal with that by yourself.” No! He’s never done that. He’s always been there to help us and to rescue us and to redeem us from the things that other people do to us from the traps and the snares of the enemy and from the mistakes that we make ourselves. Right? So no matter what this morning, I want to tell you that God will be with you in trouble.

The darker the situation, the closer the Lord is…

In Psalm 23, when it talks about us walking through the valley of the shadow of death, it says I will fear no evil. I was reading a commentary and it says this Psalm promises that the darker the shadow, the closer the Lord is. The darker the situation, the closer the Lord is. Whatever you’re going through this morning, Jesus is right there with you. The presence of God is right there with you. And what does it say in the next verse. I will rescue him. I will rescue him and honor him, with long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.

Father, we thank you for your goodness this morning. We turn our eyes, our attention on onto you this morning. We thank you for your unfailing goodness, your unfailing love.

Sister Barb…

Yes, Lord, shaking off those things of the past, those things that you keep trying to reach, reach back into our lives, Father… those things that keep trying to draw us into a place that we were removed from, Lord. I thank you that today, we are established in that place in your kingdom. We are established in that seat and place of righteousness, Father…in that place of authority that nothing by any means can harm us… that the enemy has no hold over us … for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death…

The enemy cannot touch us…

It cannot touch us. The enemy cannot touch us. He cannot touch the body… his plans will not bear fruit in Jesus’ name… cuz there’s no one like you, Lord… we put every temptation under our feet… we speak to the darkness and we command it to go in Jesus’ name… We command that spirit of depression to leave in Jesus’ name… you stop in your maneuvers against the people of God… we command that spirit of confusion to leave in Jesus’ name…

Speaking to our lives…

Hallelujah… In the name of Jesus, we speak peace to your mind … in the name of Jesus, we speak the blood of Jesus over your mind… in the name of Jesus, we speak peace and the blood of Jesus over your bodies… in Jesus’ name, that a divine impartation of the spirit would come to you now … utterance of the holy one would come to you now… that you would speak the words of grace into your life, into your family, into your church, into your neighborhood in Jesus’ name… that the words of life would flow out of you … that river of life would flow out of you … that never ending, ever flowing fountain of the living God would flow out of you…

Speak grace to the mountain…

Now circumstances changed … now situations are changed and turned in Jesus’ name … by the words that come out of your lips… speak grace, grace to the mountain, to that situation in Jesus’ name… Hey, it’s a good day… go ahead and sing out praise to the Most High God for He is worthy … He has delivered you and set you free …

He made you to be His habitation…

He made a habitation for Himself and you are the temple of the living God … He filled you with his glory. Oh you’re full of His Spirit… you are capable of great and mighty works…. even greater than David’s mighty man of valor… how much more for who is filled with the Spirit of the living God… Then I would jump over that wall… Then I would flatten out that mountain. Then I would make that crooked place straight … Then I would shake this nation who with the glory of God that this nation would move because I say so … that my city would be saved because I declare it in Jesus’ name … that my family would serve the Lord because I declare it to be … that my church would burn with the holy fire of God… because I say so … that we move and flow in the gifts of the Spirit in this place… because it is the will of God. Then we have more than … that we would never be satisfied in just a little bit, but having everything that God has planned for us to have in walking in this earth… yes that preachers would preach like never before… That missionaries would go into the darkest places that have never been touched before… in the power of the Spirit … into the darkness… driving it out… It’s time to move into those places… it’s time to step into those graces… it’s time to egg elevate your thinking… for He’s given you the keys… the keys to the kingdom. Use the keys …

Pastor Dustin…

Yes, Lord, we thank you for Barb and the gift that she is. Lord, we know that Barbs don’t grow on trees. We thank you for her, Lord. We thank you for the supply that’s on the inside of her, for the supply that’s on the inside of every single one of these believers in this room, the supply, the anointing that is on them, in them, the people that are watching online…we know that this isn’t just one of us. This is every one of us coming together, giving our supply.

Come out from among them and be ye separate…

The apostle Paul said to come out from among them and be separate from them so they can see the difference … so they can see the life and the joy and the fruit of the spirit in your life and see the gifts of the spirit in your life.

He keeps calling us back into that secret place, into that relationship, into the simplicity of a relationship with Him. Sometimes it’s hard to explain these things. But I see it like it’s a wall, like an outlet, you know what I mean? Like an outlet in the wall. And it’s like, you have like a device and it’s like stay plugged into Him, like all the time. Because it’s like the second you unplug… And I know that He’s in us and with us and we’re connected to Him. I understand that, but just hang with me in the analogy. It’s like the second you unplug, it’s like immediately that battery starts going down and it’s slow and it takes a little while. You know what I’m saying?

Sometimes we see two options…

And it’s the same way with Him. Like stay connected, continue to acknowledge Him, keep your eyes on Him. Enjoy being in His presence, stay in that place because that’s the source. I think sometimes as believers we see it almost like two options. It’s like, I can spend time in the presence of God, isolate myself from people in the world and those things stress me out and I don’t like them and I disagree with the things. So I’m just gonna shut myself off from that. And I’m gonna stay with in the presence of God.

And then there’s some people that it seems like they don’t put a priority on the presence of God. And so then it’s like, I just want to do things and accomplish things and see the works of the Father. And, I want to do miracles. It’s like, no, no. Jesus is our example. And He only did what He saw the Father do. And He only said what He heard His Father say, and He put a priority on being in the presence of God. And as He acknowledged God and worshiped Him, as He prayed and spent time in the presence of God, this relationship developed where He had the character of God.

It’s like you get to this place where it’s like, you don’t know where He ends and you begin. I mean, you know that He’s God and you’re not, but like you get to this place of intimacy and relationship with Him. I said this a couple of weeks ago, but there’s no greater prize than Jesus. There’s all of these things that we seek at and aim after and make priorities and set goals… Nothing is greater than a relationship with Him. That’s the best thing there is, no matter how much money you have, no matter what you achieve, no matter how many miracles you do in comparison to knowing Him intimately. Nothing compares.

You have Him, He’s already yours…

That is the greatest priority in our lives. And so when you make Him your aim, when you make Him your goal, when you make Him your focus, the great news is you already have Him. So what a place to live from! That’s why we talk about not striving because the greatest thing you could ever achieve in life, you have Him. He’s yours, you’re His.

Everything flows out of your relationship with Him…

And so when you kinda shift your priorities onto “I have another day that I can spend in the presence of God. I can talk to Him throughout the day. I can worship Him throughout the day. I can experience His love and grace and mercy and peace. And you just develop this relationship. Then everything else starts to flow out of it.

All these other things will be added unto you…

Jesus said, seek first the kingdom of God and My righteousness and all of these other things will be added onto you. You’re worried about all of these other things. And those things are important. I understand that. And the Lord said, they’re important to Me too. I’m gonna see to it, that those things are taken care of for you. But don’t spend your life chasing after the other… spend your life pursuing Me, having a relationship with Me. And then what you’ll find is all of those other things are added. Do you see how all of these things work together? As you spend time in the presence of God, and as you develop a relationship with Him, He changes you. It says in one translation from the inside out. You become so acquainted with His voice, so familiar with his voice, you have His character. You have the fruit of the Spirit occurring in your life. And then the gifts of the Spirit just become as normal as anything else, because you’re so connected to Him.

And then you can’t live an ordinary life after that…

You can’t live like anybody else after that. You’re at the airport and everybody’s being rude to you. And you’re just so at peace, because you’re not relying on them to meet your need, to give you what you want. You’re just receiving from Jesus in that moment. You’re not worried about the flights and all of those other things, because you know that He’s gonna take care of you. You’re just so confident in it. You’re just so at rest, because you know that He makes all things work together for your good… because you love Him. Because you love Him and you’re called according to His purpose.

It’s not a formula, it’s a flow…

You’re just not moved by all of these other things. We compartmentalize things for the sake of teaching because it just helps, but in a relationship it’s a little bit different than that. You don’t have to like now I need to focus on peace and now I need to focus on rest. And now I need to focus on the gifts of the Spirit. It’s just a flow with Him. It’s not a formula, it’s a flow. It’s a flow and it starts with a relationship. And so He keeps calling us back to Him because it’s so easy to just start chasing after things. And people put demands on you and you put demands on yourself and you have these expectations. And before you know, it, you’re just getting pulled in all of these directions. And I love that the Lord just keeps calling us back to Him. Just keeps calling us back to sit in His presence, keeps calling us back to enjoy a relationship with Him because He is the source.

Everything that you need is found in Him. He is the power. He is the supply. There is a supply that’s available on the inside of you. There is a supply of power. There’s a supply of grace. There’s a supply of strength, a supply of peace that’s on the inside of you. How is it on the inside of you? Because He’s on the inside of you.

Word to those that have been “hiding”…

There are some that have been hiding… Hiding away and the Lord wants you to come out of the shadows. It’s time to come out of the shadows. You’ve been in that place and you’ve been in fellowship in that place. And you thought, I’d like to stay here. I want to stay here forever. But the Lord said you need to come out of the shadows. It’s time for you to come out and let people see you burn. It’s time for the days of demonstration. And how will they see if you don’t come down from the mountain? If you don’t come down from the mountain, how will the people see My glory?

Do we go in? We go out, we go in, we go out. It’s a constant fellowship. And from that fellowship flows the anointing and the glory of God. And it’s time for you to not hide yourself away. Be hidden in Me, but don’t hide yourself away. There’s a difference. You need to go out. You need to step out. You need to let Me flow with you. You flow with Me as you go out among them… just like Jesus did. He went away and then He came back to the people and He ministered to the people and they witnessed the glory in the miracles. Yeah, be one of those that the glory of God can be seen upon… can be touched by the people.
