Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, July 13, 2018

Pastor Ray shared…

I have a couple things I wanted to read. I think this is from the book “Ablaze for God.” It’s by Wesley Duewel.

When you walk closely with God and you are His constant companion in communion and constant partner in prayer, you have a Spirit-given freedom in prayer that enables you to place your pleas and arguments before the Lord without fear or strain.

Pleading with God is almost as natural to you as expressing your love to the Lord.

After all, your holy argument with God and your Bible-based reasonings as you plead are largely for God’s sake and are accompanied with total submission to His will. While there may be some personal interest at times because of natural ties, your plea is primarily for Christ’s sake.

Plead the blood. Pray until you have the assurance of God’s will pray until you have been given by the Spirit, a vision of what God longs to do, waits to do. Pray till you are gripped by the authority of the name of Jesus. THEN, plead the blood of Jesus.

The name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus… glory in them, stake your all on them and use them to the glory of God and the routing of Satan.

Bring before the Father the wounds of Jesus… recall to the Father the strong cries of the Son of God as he prevailed (and travailed) for our world and for our salvation… plead the cross… plead the blood… plead them over and over again.

Now I want to go over a couple scriptures about some promises we have in Him.

Matthew 16:18, “… and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Ps. 32:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

Ps. 126:4–6, “Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Jer. 17:14–18 “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. 15 Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the Lord? let it come now. 16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee. 17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil. 18 Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

Ps. 80:14–19, “Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; 15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. 6 It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. 17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. 18 So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. 19 Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.”

Ps. 85:6, “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”

Eph. 5:14 “herefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

Isa. 60:1 “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”

Ps. 138:8, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and lovingkindness, O Lord, endure forever—forsake not the works of Your own hands.”

P. 115:14, “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.”

Ps. 102:28, “The children of Your servants shall dwell safely and continue, and their descendants shall be established before You.”

Ps. 37:1–9, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.”

Pastor Ray continued…

So what are we to do? Wait, hope, and look. So yesterday after prayer, I had someone ask me to agree with them in prayer. She shared with me about a situation in one of her jobs where she wasn’t sure what to do. She had seen some things someone else was doing or wasn’t doing. She had been asking the Lord if she should talk to someone in authority. She’s waiting and asking. She said, “I always hear from the Lord, but I’m hearing nothing.” My answer I believe by the Spirit was, “You’ve already heard. He has not said anything to you. Don’t do anything. Just wait.” Her answer was don’t say or do anything because He hasn’t told you to say or do anything. I agreed with her in prayer about her situation that she was to be sure to know what to do. Of course. Sometimes we want the Lord to speak to us in that loud, big voice when sometimes, He is speaking by not speaking. His voice is a “still small voice.” That reminds me of how Pastor Mac has taught us. You never respond to the enemy’s pressure to make a decision quickly. Don’t make a decision because of pressure from the enemy. Have you experienced that, Dave? What do you do?

Dave shared…

A lot of times, we want to react to the circumstance. That’s exactly what the devil wants you to do. He knows what pushes your buttons. He knows the very thing that’s going to cause you to go into a spiral. You can either taken hold of what he says or you can listen to your heart. The best thing you can do if find a place in God. Never make a decision right away. Never. Never make a decision that leads you into the trap of the enemy. It’s like that piece of cheese. He thinks if I can get them to step into this right here, they’ll get caught up in this quagmire and they’ll mess it up and they’ll have to wait longer for My plan. That’s what his goal; to keep you where God called you to go.

So when that happens to me, this is what I do. I find a quiet place and seek the Lord. I start worshiping him. Then the Holy Spirit will come upon me and He calms down my fears. He’ll put you in a place where you’re no longer dealing with your mental faculties. You’re now dealing with spiritual faculties. You’re operating out of the spirit rather than out of the head. Operating out of your spirit is the candle of the Lord, the Bible says. That’s where God speaks to us. Not in our heads.

People think they just need to come up with a solution out of their heads. Well, that could be a natural solution though. By doing that, that forces your hand. It’s like playing poker. When you get your cards, you look at them. Dropping your head is not a good idea. You’ve giving it away. Sweating is not a good idea. Putting yourself in a situation where you react, you got to have a poker face. You’ve not moved either way. What you do is draw back into your spirit and relax in the Holy Spirit. When you do that, the Holy Spirit will calm your spirit. The Bible says that if you let your requests be made known that He would guard your heart and your mind. So your natural instinct should be “Don’t react.” Because when you don’t react, that’s when you allow the Holy Spirit to take you into that supernatural place where miracles work. It’s your fear that will keep you from that supernatural place. It’s that sweat or dropping of your head that keeps you from getting what you need from heaven. Because what you’re doing is you’re operating out of the natural and allowing fear to grip you. The Bible says God has not given us the spirit of fear but of peace, love, joy, and a sound mind.

How many have needed a sound mind where the natural thing is yelling so loud that you feel like it’s collapsing in on you. I know what that is like. This is what the Lord has said to me. “I’m training you to not react to natural things. If I can get you to do this consistently, you can operate in the supernatural consistently. And you don’t have to hit/miss, his/miss. He wants us consistently allowing His grace to be made known to you every hour of every day. When a situation pops, BAM! Grace is applied. When a circumstance has arise, boom, grace is applied. He’s in on the scene rather than natural “oooo!” I get it. Have you had this experience? You get bad news and it affects you so much that you might sweat, get sick, grips you. When it grips you, it does not want to let go. But there’s a way to let this release from you. When he was sharing that, I was like “this is really good.” It really makes a difference between seeing God being made manifest and not seeing Him being made manifest. Opening up the door to the devil or opening up the door to God and getting Him in on the deal.

When you do this, your prayers will change. Meaning, you’re not going to have reactive prayers. I had a miracle happen to my daughter. Her older brother slammed her hand in a car door. Her fingers were broken. You could literally see the broken bones in her fingers. She was screaming and crying in hysteria. As a parent, your reaction is going to be “Oh my God! My daughter!” You naturally want to go there. But when I laid hands on her, the Holy Spirit said to me, “Just sing in the spirit.” We went to the doctor and by the time we got there, she went into X-rays and came out… there was nothing wrong. She had a scratch on the top of her hand. The Holy Spirit showed me that if you don’t react and you get in with Me, I’m going to change that thing so it’s not what you think it is.

Barb and I were reading a statistic that said 90% of all things you worry about never happen. If you’re looking at odds when you go to a place like Vegas where you’re going to gamble, if they say you’ve got a 90% chance of winning, that’s a good bet! If they say there’s a 90% chance that this stock is going to double in a year, is that a good bet? That’s unheard of!

What I’m saying is this. When the Holy Spirit leads us into that place, we need to take that out door, not the other door. If we want miracles to happen, we have to resist that other temptation, that door that opens up and says “this is gonna happen… they’re going to do this…” I’ve done that. But I’ve also done the other. I’ve seen the other work. I’m getting used to doing the other. I’m having less of the “whacked out” life and more of the “blessed” life. If you want the blessed life, you have to do it the way we’re supposed to do it, rather than the “whacked out” way.

I don’t want to be the person that lives from day to day all messed up. I want to be the one that opens the mailbox and there’s an unexpected check you didn’t realize it was coming to you. I want to be the one that goes to the supermarket and they say, “You’re the 1,000th customer. Everything you bought is free.” I want to be the guy that gets a special discount at the car dealer. That’s the life that should be normal for us. The way we live in that normal life is taking that other door to the Spirit. As we take that other door, the more we get used to making that decision and getting used to casting down those vain imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge and wisdom of God and His Word… when He says that you are blessed, above and beyond all you can imagine or think, that is His wisdom and blessing for your life. If that’s what the Bible says about you, everything contrary to that, you can push aside.

And this is what I do. I do this on a regular basis. Whenever I don’t understand something … that was another key point that He said was important. You go as much by what God doesn’t say as much as what He does say. Sometimes the Holy Spirit doesn’t give you that audible voice, but He tells you to calm down and relax. There’s a reason why He won’t tell you everything. And it’s very important that you understand that. Because we want to be in control and we want to know every step of the way. “If You just tell me, I’d be okay. I could believe and trust You.” He says, “Here’s the problem. If it told you everything, you’d be in My way. What you’re going to do when I tell you everything is when you don’t see it happen the way you think it should happen, you’re going to take it into your hands and be off trying to make it happen. Then you won’t need Me.” But one thing you need to understand is Me is important to you. Because I’m the one with the miracle working power that can do the impossible. And you’re the one that receives. So let Me do my thing and your thing is to obey and follow the peace.”

The peace of God that passes understanding will guard your heart and mind and lead you into all truth, for His namesake. To the point “I don’t care if it looks like the world is blowing up, you’re sitting there kind of like Mr. Magoo. You remember Me. Magoo? He walks around kind of “do de do, do de do…” Right? He’s got stuff falling around him, all this destruction going on all around him and somehow he never gets hurt by it. You ever see that? That’s you! A thousand will fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it won’t come near you! You’re like God’s Mr. Magoo! Okay?

When He was sharing that about not going as much by what He doesn’t say, He can just tell you don’t say anything. Just calm down. If you don’t know what to do, get into prayer and worship and seek the Lord. Don’t pray about it. Just worship Him. Seek God. Start praising the Lord. The presence of God will come and that anointing that passes all understanding will cover and then you may not have the next move to what is going on, but you know this. I’m going to be okay. That’s all you need to get you through. God says I’ve got you, your situation, don’t worry about it and I’m going to drop that seed inside your spirit so you can feel confident that “I’m going to be fine.” We need to live in that place. We’ll not be affected by the challenges that come.

Barb shared…

This is what I heard when he was speaking. Don’t let people pressure you into making a decision. There are things that will come and they’ll say, “You have to decide this right now. You need to make a decision.” And it’s pressure, pressure, pressure. That’s not the way God is, because who says you need to make a decision right then? You need to just listen. If you’re feeling pressure and pressured especially by people to make a decision… it’s happened to me over and over again in business. “We need to know this today, right now…” the Lord says, “Who says they need that today?” Then you find out they don’t need it for two weeks, but they want to pressure you and put you in a place where you’re not at rest at all. The Holy Ghost wants you to be in a place of rest and peace all the time. So don’t let pressure from circumstances or people cause you to step into a decision that could be completely wrong because there should be no pressure. There should be peace any time you have to make a decision.

I had a friend come to my house one day and she had this big thing going on in her life. They told her, “You have to decide what you’re going to do.” The doctor was telling her, “We need to know right now. You have to tell us what you’re going to do because this could happen and this could happen.” She said I have plans to go on this missions trip. I said, “Who says you have to make a decision this week? That’s what they’re telling you. Go on the missions trip. She went on the missions trip. She was in a place of peace and God spoke to her on the missions trip. When she completely removed herself from that pressure of having to make a decision “right now,” she got an answer. Don’t let people pressure you. And don’t pressure people. If you’re pressuring people, that is not God. God does not put pressure on people.

I just got a revelation. President Trump is like Mr. Magoo. Serious! He’s not moved.  When you said that about Mr. Magoo is walking through stuff happening all around him but he just keeps going, that’s the President.

Prayed…

Father, we lift up our nation… our President, we pray the blood covering over him… by faith, we lay hands on him in the spirit… we declare the protection of the Lord around him and those that are with him… around his family and the Vice President… around those in the Congress, Senate, the Supreme Court… the military… those that are out on the front lines working on our behalf… we cover them with the blood… we declare this same thing over each one of them that they will not be moved by what people say about them…they’ll be moved by what You’ve said about them… we declare that over our President that he’ll continually keep moving in the right way, doing the right things, speaking the right things, the right words… he’ll be where he needs to be… he’s not moved by what he sees or hears… we’re not moved by what we see in the natural or moved by what we hear… we’re moved by what You said and how close and near Your presence is within us, directing us every second of every day… we overcome by the blood because Jesus overcame by the blood… our families are prospering… our churches are prospering… in Jesus’ name, we call the blood covering over pastors… we hold pastors up before heaven… we call forth the blessing of God over the ministry gifts that are in them… we speak forth those things to come to pass… we come against the operations of the enemy… we say we resist you!… we pray over bank accounts… increase… momentum…
