Morning Prayer Summary for Tuesday, February 20, 2018

Pastor Ray shared…

Everyone is doing well? I am glad to be back for sure. When you leave, you kind of unhook for a while. But Sandy and I had a really good week at Keith Moore’s church in Sarasota. The first week we were gone, he was teaching on faith every night. It was really blessed. Brother Keith Moore flows in the Holy Spirit and he’s such a teacher of faith. It just comes out.

Then we got a week away. I don’t mean to rub it in but we just went down the elevator and right out on the beach. It was like “Okay, which chair should we sit in today?” (ha, ha, ha). Anyway, last night when we came back everything was going great until we got closer to the airport in Minneapolis and they said “Well, we are going to circle the airport for a little while.” It was about 18 minutes while they cleared the runway. When we finally landed, people clapped like we were landing in Jerusalem or something (ha, ha, ha). I mean it does get you to thinking when you are up there. They are clearing the runway? But anyway they are doing a good job.

Scripture Focus….

(1) After this [Paul] departed from Athens and went to Corinth.
(2) There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, recently arrived from Italy with Priscilla his wife, due to the fact that Claudius had issued an edict that all the Jews were to leave Rome. And [Paul] went to see them,
(3) And because he was of the same occupation, he stayed with them; and they worked [together], for they were tentmakers by trade.
(4) But he discoursed and argued in the synagogue every Sabbath and won over [both] Jews and Greeks.
(5) By the time Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was completely engrossed with preaching, earnestly arguing and testifying to the Jews that Jesus [is] the Christ.
(6) But since they kept opposing and abusing and reviling him, he shook out his clothing [against them] and said to them, Your blood be upon your [own] heads! I am innocent [of it]. From now on I will go to the Gentiles (the heathen).

Pastor Ray…

That’s an interesting picture. They so opposed him. I just wonder how that looked. You know he shook out his clothing against them. How do you do that? You just take off your jacket and whip it off and say I am out of here! Basically. You know, he was just “That’s it! You made your choice. You live with it.”

(8) But Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed [that Jesus is the Messiah and acknowledged Him with joyful trust as Savior and Lord], together with his entire household; and many of the Corinthians who listened [to Paul also] believed and were baptized.

Pastor Ray…

So Paul is already set in his heart. He is shaking his clothes off against them and their blood is upon their heads. He is like “I did whatever I could do. I am out of here!” And in verse 9, Paul is still in that frame of mind.

(9) And one night the Lord said to Paul in a vision, Have no fear, but speak and do not keep silent;
(10) For I am with you, and no man shall assault you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.
(11) So he settled down among them for a year and six months, teaching the Word of God [concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God]. Acts 8:1–11 (AMPC)

Pastor Ray…

Just because of how they were reacting to the Word that he was speaking, he felt to just be done with them and forget it. But I love that in the middle of all that, the Lord said to him “I am with you and no one will assault you or harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

I know in the Message it makes it even clearer “You have no idea how many people I have on My side in this city.” And so when I read that this morning, I connected it with prayer which is, of course, what we do here. I ran into lots of people in Sarasota at the church that came from different cities to attend the meetings, and these people would say “Oh, Pastor Ray!” I would say “How do you know me?” They regularly watch the prayer being streamed from here every Thursday and read the GPAN. It was surprising because we know there is a camera recording from this chapel but we don’t know where it’s going. It turns out just from those meetings a lot of different people came up to me. They were like, “You don’t understand how blessed you are to have a group of pray-ers that you can connect with.” They loved how it all flows.

I am not lifting myself up. I am saying Holy Spirit flowing. Not everybody is able to be in a ministry that is like this ministry. Thank God this ministry was founded on prayer. And we have never moved away from that. I think about all of the different things here at Living Word, all the guest ministers and ministries and all the things that have happened just within the last month. We are so blessed. Is that right? And I attribute a lot of it based on our Pastors and how they started out in prayer and based the ministry on prayer.

And then when we see breakthroughs happen, we got to know our prayers are working. We would maybe be so surprised, we would be, as to how many people are really connected together with us over GPAN, over the Internet and in our city and in the cities across the nation.

Prayed…

For the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever
He has brought us this far
Like Paul when he was so moved by other people’s opinions, words
God spoke to him in a vision
And we have His Word today – He speaks unto us to never, ever quit, never stop
Never to leave what we were called to do!
But continuing in what we have been called unto
For the Lord is good and His mercy is new!
And it’s new today
We thank You for Your presence this morning
Thank You for the Words that You speak to us by Your Spirit
Words that we have received concerning our ministry or our cities
Thank You, Father, You are so good, so faithful, never changing
Always, always You are the same today as You were yesterday
Your Word is true, You are our Rock, and we stand upon Your Word today
Knowing that we overcome because You overcame
Through the blood that was shed on that Cross
Thank You for the Cross!
Thank You for what was done for us
That we were not lost but we were found – You did it for every one of us
Thank You so much, Lord

Ms. Annie led us singing In Your Presence Oh Lord My God

Continued praying…

Hallelujah, thank You for Your presence in our lives
In our cities, in our churches, in our schools
The ministry and the presence of Your Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, we as Your children welcome Your manifest presence
Changing our cities, changing our states, changing our nation
To be brought back together again, unified as one
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for bringing Your body into one place of agreement under You
Things that were broken up, separated, being brought back together again
Repaired, made new, restored
Oh, thank You for the move of Your precious Holy Spirit!
We come in under and come with You and join up into that presence
Getting in that cleft of the rock so to speak
Thank You for the precious Holy place of Your Spirit!
Thank You that You dwell within each one of us
But then too together, corporately as we join in one accord
Your presence dominates!
We’ll not go in another way – no!
We contend to stay in Your way, in Your will, and in Your plan
Changes, changes, changes, changing things, turning things
We cooperate with You and speak on Your behalf
And hold fast and purpose in our own hearts to not be moved and contend always
This nation, one nation under You!
We pray over our leaders – one by one by one
The families of our leaders, we lift them all up
We bring them before heaven this morning and contend on their behalf
We plead the blood of the Lamb – oh the blood of Jesus – in that blood we overcome
Things that needed to be shaken off, we believe to be shaken off!
Lives changed and turned, rearranged, souls coming in from every direction
The lost, we pray over the lost, we pray over every laborer that goes forth in Jesus’ name
We know that the times are right; we know the harvest is white!
We put a stop to every wrong plan that would try to work against our nation, against our land, against our cities, our states in our nation, and our leaders in Jesus’ name
We come by the blood!
We declare “Protection by the blood!”
Hidden things, you be revealed and uncovered
Opened up for what you were planning to do
And every evil work, be stopped in your tracks in Jesus’ name
And so we will stay in that place, that position of power and grace
That position of calling things that are not as though they were
Money, finances, resources in Jesus’ name come forth
Ministering spirits we ask you to go get our finances and bring them in the Church, the body in Jesus’ name
Every need met in Jesus’ name
We enter on in to that place of more than enough
We enter on in to that position or place of wholeness and wellness of every kind in Jesus’ name
Thank You, Father, for illuminating Your words, words of faith to us that lift our faith
That change our hearts and then changes our minds
Oh thank You, Father, for wholeness and health of every kind
We pray over our minds that our thoughts would be right
That we would think right, speak right, our mouths would speak words of life, and words of health and words of prosperity
Thank You for the ministry, the power, the anointing of Your precious Holy Spirit that lives within us

Ms. Annie led us singing Oh The Blood of Jesus

Continued praying…

Father, thank You so much for that powerful blood
For the activity or the changes, the rearranges that take place when we declare that blood
We know that in that blood we overcome because You did
Thank You so much Jesus that You overcame
You went all the way to the Cross and shed Your blood for us
And that precious holy blood makes us to be overcomers in every area of our lives
Just by faith this morning we see it
We are holding the blood up high, we magnify the blood
For in that blood we know that in every area, spirit, soul, body, we have overcome
We are new, whole, healthy, our needs are met
And we have more than enough to do what You have called us to do
For we have overcome and we continually overcome through that precious holy blood
We thank You so much for it today
Thank You for this day, we call it blessed before we go any further
We are blessed where we set our feet
Your anointing is within us and it goes where we go
We will make a difference wherever we go
Thank You for words to speak and the right places to go
And those that we need to meet we shall meet
Thank You so much for it in Jesus’ name Amen
Thank You for coming
