Morning Prayer Summary for Tuesday, February 19, 2019

Pastor Ray…

Something happened with the recording yesterday. I went back to look at the GPAN but it wasn’t all there. I wanted to go back to the beginning where I shared what I heard in my car on the way over to prayer. I heard from the backseat of my car “Take the cap off.” Anyway I googled it and mainly what came up was “Put a cap on that.” It doesn’t compute “Take the cap off.” It just takes off the “Take” and says “Put a cap on that.” Of course that’s limiting something to a certain point and that’s it. You put a cap on whatever; let’s say you are buying a house. You say this is the total amount I want to pay. But we can’t have a cap on what His Word says that we can do or what He’s done for us for all of the things that we need in these days.

I want to go through the prayer for our nation and afterwards pray in the spirit concerning President, Vice-president, family, all those that are in the White House, all those in positions of authority, in leadership. Obviously there is a lot to be prayed out.

First of all, thank You, Holy Spirit. We welcome Your presence again. When we say that, we mean that; not in any form of religiosity in anything that we do or anything that we say. We welcome the manifestation of Your presence here in the chapel this morning. We have done it thousands of times, and we will do it thousands of times more because we need Your presence. Holy Spirit, we need Your presence, require it as a necessity.

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

The following excerpts is from Ablaze for God by Wesley L. Duewel:

0 Thou who earnest from above,
The pure celestial fire ‘impart,
Kindle a flame of sacred love
On the mean altar of my heart.

There let it for Thy glory burn
With inextinguishable blaze,
And trembling to its source return,
In humble prayer and fervent praise.

Jesus, confirm my heart’s desire
To work, and speak, and think for Thee;
Still let me guard thy holy fire
And still stir up Thy gift in me. Charles Wesley

Blessed Holy Spirit, come again today;
Come, indwell us fully in a mighty way.
We are longing, waiting for Your grace and pow’r;
Blessed Holy Spirit, come on us this hour.

Chorus: Come upon us now! come upon us now!
Hungry, thirsty, longing we before You bow.
Work in all Your fullness in and through us all;
Hungry and obeying, Lord, in faith we call.

Blessed Holy Spirit, let Shekinah fall;
May Your holy glory come upon us aII!
May Your fire and glory now on us descend;
Put Your seal upon us; then in service send.

Blessed Holy Spirit, work so all can see;
Exercise Your Lordship, all Your ministry.
Work in pow’r more fully than we’ve seen or heard;
‘Tis Your blessed promise, ’tis Your holy Word!

Blessed Holy Spirit, Oh! do not delay!
Come in might and glory; come on us today!
Tis for You we hunger; it is You we need.
Blessed Holy Spirit, come, oh come! we plead! Wesley L. Duewel Pastor

Pastor Ray…

Thank You, Lord, for that burning desire, that it isn’t just words but it’s our hearts desire that, that come upon us in a greater way, that our desires would increase and our hunger for more of You. Thank You, Father.

That prince of English preachers, Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones, insists, “Preaching is theology coming through a man who is on fire …. I say again that a man who can speak about these things dispassionately has no right whatsoever to be in a pulpit; and should never be allowed to enter one. What is the chief end of preaching? I like to think it is this. It is to give men and women a sense of God and His presence.”

A respected educator of New York University, H. H. Home, said the secret of great teaching is contagion. This is the secret of all great leadership, of whatever kind. Martin Luther did not want to lose the fire from his soul; neither dare we. Fire attracts. Fire motivates. Fire kindles fire; it is the nature of fire to set ablaze.

The Salvation Army and many other evangelicals in the British Isles love to sing this hymn written by William Booth, the Army’s founder:

Thou Christ of burning, cleansing flame,
Send the Fire!
Thy blood-bought gift today we claim,
Send the Fire!
Look down and see this waiting host;
Give us the promised Holy Ghost.
We want another Pentecost! Send the Fire!
‘Tis Fire we want, for Fire we plead.
Send the Fire!
The Fire will meet our every need;
Send the Fire!
For strength to ever do the right,
For grace to conquer in the fight,
For power to walk the world in white
– Send the Fire!

To make our weak hearts strong and brave,
Send the Fire!
To live a dying world to save,
Send the Fire!
Oh, see us on Thy altar lay Our lives,
our all, this very day.
To crown the offering now we pray,
Send the Fire!

Pastor Ray…

Let’s begin to see that picture individually where are hearts are so on fire, where the desire is almost overwhelming, that strong desire for more, that strong desire for the glory of God to be poured out all over the earth, that ministries, and churches, and pastors, there would be such fire there. People from every direction would be drawn to the fire and it would burn and burn and burn hotter and hotter as we go forth. We declare today “We’re coming into a new and greater desire for more of Your heavenly fire!” More now than ever before, more heat than ever before, more glory than ever before that the Church, Your body, Lord, would be set totally, completely on fire and the cap would be removed and it would be greater and greater and greater and greater every single day until we are out of here.

Florence…

No, we will not be spectators. No, we will not be looking on the sidelines. No, we need to be in the heat of it, in the midst of it, Father. We do not want to watch from the sidelines! Oh, Father, have mercy! We empty ourselves this morning. We do our part of all the good works. We see ourselves on the altar. We are willing to sacrifice for You, Father. Oh, send Your fire! Send Your fire! Yes, Lord, we empty ourselves that You would fill us up with Your Spirit! That You would fill us up with Your wisdom, Your power. We are so tired of status quo, Father. We are tired, Lord. We need revival. We need Your Spirit. We need Your direction.

We will be fools for You, Father, that we may reach the nations, O God. We will lay aside everything, Father! That we may bring in the harvest!

He is Holy! He is the One Who sits on the throne! And all the elders fall before Him and say “Holy, Holy, Holy are You, O Lord! All the earth is full of Your glory!” He is Holy! He is Holy! Yes, He is Holy! There is worship in heaven 24/7 because our God is Holy! How many hours do you lift Him up? How many hours do you worship His name?

Ms. Florence…

Father, in the name of Jesus, I release hunger and thirst over us this morning. That our desire, the desires of our heart would be to stay and sit in Your presence, seeking Your face every minute of the day. And I speak an opening of understanding over us. I speak the opening of our eyes that we may see, that we may comprehend that which You have called us to do. Lord, we will not be ignorant. We are living in dangerous days. That we will not be ignorant of the Devil’s devices but our desire and our hunger will be for You. And that we will empty ourselves of anything and everything that is not of You, Father, that You may fill us to overflowing by the power of Your Holy Spirit. And so, Father, this morning we decree that we will seek Your face, that we will seek You until we find You, that we will wait in Your presence until we are overflowing by Your power and You might, and that we will be afraid even to go out there if we do not have Your Holy Spirit.

Father, we thank You that this day. It’s a new day in our lives where we’ll say “we’ll stay on the altar until we are the complete sacrifice, holy and acceptable before You, O God.” And when we bring prayers before You, Father, You will receive the incense of our prayers and You will answer our prayers. As we come up, as You have called us up, we will come down as Kings and rule with You on earth wherever You will place us. Father, we just thank You for that in Jesus’ name.

Ms. Cindy…

When we were just praying, a verse kept coming up in my spirit. You know we consecrate ourselves, keep seeking God, and we’re hungry for more. But oftentimes when we are hungry it’s because we’re in a wilderness place. But that’s only evidence God is pleased with us. Because the Holy Spirit led Jesus out into the wilderness and the Father said, “This is My beloved in Whom I am well pleased.” It’s not hardness… It’s a place of breakthrough into more of God, a place where we let go of the things that appease our soul but cannot sustain, and cannot satisfy, the things that put off spiritual hunger, anesthetize it, and keep us in a place of apathy. God wants us to embrace the wilderness because it’s causing us to hunger and seek after Him so that His glory could be manifest in us to a greater degree. We are not settling for things are fading away and coming to nothing, things that don’t sustain and things that don’t satisfy. The time is now for judgment to begin from the family of God. And this is the verse that the Lord gave me, 1 Peter 4:18: “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?”

At times we might just be going through life and not stirring up what God has placed in us, not coming into those places where we can lay down our lives that His life would shine through us even more, that the ungodly and sinner would have light to see, so that they too could be saved. If we are only scarcely saved, we just make it to heaven… but then what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?

When we spend time in His presence, we develop His heart and His heart is for the lost. We develop a hunger to see the lost saved. That’s like the carrot at the end of the stick for me. And it’s why we are here. We are saved not so we can have a life of whatever here on earth… This is not our home. We’re here on assignment, like Navy Seals. Okay, we are not here to identify with this world. We are here to run our race, and bring as many of the ungodly and sinners over into another kingdom.

Pastor Ray…

I had a little flash picture of gears that are inside of us and something began to move that was stuck. And when we started singing “send the oil,” shewww! It started to move. It had moved but it wasn’t moving. But now it’s begun to move again and it will not stop as long as we, as Ms. Florence was saying, hunger, thirst for more and have it as an absolute necessity.

We thank You for it, Lord, that we’re entering into new times, seasons. And we do know it is all about the lost and those that are way down low to lift them up into heaven’s light now, all over the earth. So, we thank You for it, all these things we give You glory and honor and thanksgiving this morning. Thank You for this day in Jesus’ name, Amen.
