  1. “Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist

Pastor Ken…

We worship you this morning, Father. We bless you. We magnify you, Lord. We just lift up your name over this gathering both online and in this chapel this morning. [worship continues…]

Welcome…

Welcome to morning prayer on this Wednesday. So good to have all of you here in the chapel and those of you who have joined us online. Thank you for your continual comments and your hellos and your emojis.

Invitation to Virtual, Spirit-Led Prayer Gathering…

I wanted to draw your attention to something that’s coming up on Friday, and that is a virtual, Spirit-led prayer gathering, hosted by Pastor Joseph Harris. He’s a pastor out of the east coast. Pastor Lynne is joining him along with Patsy Camenetti for a virtual prayer gathering on this coming Friday. It will start at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Of course, that’s 8 p.m. Central Standard Time. It will be streamed via Facebook and YouTube. So be sure to check that out. And once again, check out ThePrayerMovement.com and be a part of our Facebook group, subscribe so you get email updates that we send out periodically as well.

God’s Word is the foundation of prayer…

This morning, I wanted to offer some thoughts and a perspective on prayer just as a way of getting started this morning. I love to always bring the Word into prayer because, of course, it’s our foundation. It’s our basis. The will of God is found in the Word of God. Right? And when we pray the Word of God, which is the will of God, we know that He hears us according to scripture. So we’ve got a firm foundation to pray.

We are a conduit of the same power that brought the universe into existence…

I jotted this down the other day, that when God’s Word and Spirit work together in our prayers, then the same power that brought the universe into existence is flowing through us. Isn’t that good? So think about that when you’re praying, the power that created and thrust the university into existence, we are yielded to and are a conduit for that same power to bring about change, answers, healings, signs and wonders and miracles. That’s why I said the other day to be passionate and determined and intentional about cultivating an intimate and personal relationship with God. The Holy Spirit is essential if you want to see the miraculous and experience signs and wonders and miracles in your life. Because He’s the orchestrator, the source of that power.

God’s power within us should not be dormant in us…

I also jotted this down, that “one of the biggest reasons why Christians don’t pray is because they don’t realize the limitless power and possibilities available through prayer.” So as we enter into a time of prayer, just let that be firing across your neural synopsis that, “Hey, there are limitless possibilities, limitless power available to us.” The very power that created and crafted and flung the cosmos into being is here this morning. It’s resident within us. The same wisdom, creativity, answers, and power is in us. And God desires and created us so that it would flow through us, so that we would be an injection in culture, in society, in circumstances, our daily lives and families and relationships, and decision-making and what we do to create and what we do to work… that the power of God would be dormant in us … latent, collecting dust somewhere in us.

Jesus’ sacrifice of His life released power to those who believe on Him…

But according to the redemptive work of Jesus, according to my Bible, when the veil was rent in the temple in Jerusalem, on the Temple Mount on that notable day… because Jesus had made sacrifice of His life and shed His blood and did what He did, the veil was rent. And God’s power was released from that temple. And in a matter of a short time would be released to all peoples of the earth across all generations who would call upon and profess the name of Jesus, who would profess Jesus is Lord, and would become recipients of  “the greatest gift” known in all of history. Amen? The gift of forgiveness, the gift of grace, the gift of His power.

In fact, the Bible says that this same power that raised up Jesus from death, hell, and the grave, that raised up Jesus from every work and entanglement of darkness, every ounce of oppression, every threat of fear, every failure, every regret, every misstep, every mistake, every issue that is not of God in all of human experience… the same power that raised up Jesus from the dead was released to deal with that and was released to be in us, to reside, to take up residence in the human soul that is washed in the blood of Jesus.

When you pray, be aware of the power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in you…

So as we approach the Father and our time of prayer today, understand that the same power that raised Jesus was designed to flow through you and me. As we take our place… let’s remind ourselves of who He is in us and who we are in Him. Thank you, Father. That always just stirs me up, you know, to reflect on the power of God. Nothing is impossible to those who will believe and go with God.

We are called to be the ruling class…

We are called to be the ruling class. Amen? Not because of us, not because of what we’ve done or not done, but because of Him and His beautiful work on our behalf and the gift of His grace and mercy and power that is in us. And prayer is our opportunity to let that power flow and to release it.

Let me share a couple of scriptures and a couple of quotes before we pray, as an opportunity to shed some perspective on prayer and what we’re doing here each and every day.

Psalm 139:17

“How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!” (Amp.)

Psalm 91:15

“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him” (Amp.).

Matthew 6:6

“When you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open” (Amp.).

Luke 18:1

“Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to [a]turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up)” (Amp).

Ephesians 6:18

“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).”

“Every season.” I like that. Even when things are going well, there are still prayers of thanksgiving and prayers of worship and prayers of faith that God wants us to pray “on every season.”

When I hear the words “alert and watch,” it just like… BOOM! It just goes up in my mind’s eye, like a neon sign in the dark. Because I feel like that’s what God is saying right now.

“…keep alert and watch with strong purpose”:  Our purpose is to know God, to follow after Him, to flow and align ourselves with Him so that His purposes become our purposes. And then we burn with that purpose in our prayers. That could be the will of God for you today, just to be aware of God.

I said yesterday that a definition of revival and renewal is simply becoming more conscious and aware of His presence and power in your life, so you could yield to Him more readily, more consistently. And that in that would come the inspiration in the voice of God, in your gut rising up, causing you to pray a prayer or say something inspired under His influence. And that those words and prayers will set something in motion of God, to bring change, to break a stronghold off somebody, to clear out the clutter in the atmosphere spiritually for somebody to come to Christ… to cause you to see what He’s wanting you to see right now, so that you could take hold of that concept that He wants you to live and breathe with.

Quotes about prayer…

Our whole life should be a life of prayer. We should walk in constant communion with God. There should be a constant looking upward to God. We should walk so habitually in His presence that even when we awake in the night, it would be the most natural thing for us to speak to Him in Thanksgiving and petitions.

Oh, what a beautiful and awesome place to be. I’ve had many of those moments in my life where your soul and your spirit and your inner being is just so grateful and you begin to worship Him. That’s the king of prayer that ministers to Him. He’s drawn to you when you do that. It delights His heart.

He’s a person. He’s not some cosmic collection of dust. God is a person. We are created in His image. He wants to be with us and wants to fellowship with and hear from us. Of course, we need to hear from Him more than anything, but He likes it when we express our hearts to Him. Don’t get all religious and think that it’s just all “thee’s and thou’s” and memorized prayers to God.

In prayer, we must go from here [head] to here [heart]…

The most intimate and power filled and awesome time with God is when you just talk to Him… you’re just real with Him. You just express your heart. You go beyond your mind and preconceived ideas and what you’ve memorized and what you’ve cataloged and labeled in your head as prayer. And you go from here to here. [points at head to heart] I challenge you to do that today. Go from here [head] to here [heart]. Just close your eyes and be quiet and share your heart… just get to that authentic place and just talk to Him. Just dig deep. There’s a deep in you, the Bible says. Draw from that deep place and let it call out to the deep in God. There’s something about that authentic, heartfelt connection that transmits power and brings change.

The earnest, heartfelt prayer availeth much…

“Oh Pastor Ken, you’re getting a little deep for us today.” No, I’m just telling you from experience and the Word of God. The Bible says in James, the earnest heartfelt, heart expressed, heart articulated prayer of a righteous man makes much power available and it’s dynamic. In other words, I like to say it morphs in it’s working. In other words, however you need the working of God, the miraculous, powerful ability of God to work in your life, it will work and flow when you are heartfelt. When you express yourself to God, not as some cosmic collection of dust, because He’s not that, but as the Person and the King and your very own heavenly Father that He is, there’s an explosion of new possibilities and power and change and healing and blessing and refreshing found in that place.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in many conversations with people over the years … you can talk to them from your intellect and that’s good and fine, but it isn’t really as enjoyable as when you connect with somebody that you know and you can just talk about anything. It’s just energizing and renewing and just time goes by … because you’re communicating and connecting from your heart. That’s what God intends for prayer to be.

R.A. Torrey

We should walk with God in a constant communion with Him. There should be a constant looking upward to God. We should walk so habitually in His presence that even when we awake in the night, it would be the most natural thing for us to speak to Him in thanksgiving and petitions.

“Prayer is a special place in which to live.” “Live” is the operative word there. Not just to engage in or something you say occasionally, but prayer is a special place to live. We talked about that yesterday, right? Living in a place of prayer.

Prayer is a special place where your heart to me you give. Prayer is a special place where you seek Me for plans and purposes and what to do. A walk that’s higher. Prayer calls things not as though they were.

In other words, prayer is intended to be prophetic. We’re here to transform what is into what could be and should be and what God has called it to be.

Pastor Steve Hule

Prayer is prophetic. Prayer is knowing your prayers are heard. Prayer should not be burdensome to you. Prayer should be an opportunity to fellowship with Me and enter through. Walking through another door, going into another place where it’s full of glory and full of grace. For prayer is what causes things to change in people’s lives. A special place. Orders from headquarters, running your race, setting the pace for things to come. Spending time in prayer, getting things done.

R.A. Torrey

This then is the way to come into the presence of God and to be sure that we have come into His presence. First to come by the blood. Second, to come in by the Holy Spirit, looking to the Holy Spirit to lead us into the presence of God and to make God real to us.

R.A. Torrey

Oh, here is the secret of becoming much like God, remaining long alone with God. If you won’t stay long with Him, you won’t be much like Him.

E.M. Bounds

God shapes the world by prayer. Prayers are deathless.” In other words, they’re eternal. “The lips that uttered them may close in death, the heart that felt them may have ceased to beat, but the prayers live before God and God’s heart is set on them and prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them, outlive a generation and outlive an age.

Prayed…

Father, we thank you for the opportunity we have today to be a conduit of your power and presence. We just purposely as a community gathered together virtually and in-person, yield to you. We invite you to rise up in us, individually and collectively.

Prayer about His power to flow to us…

We pray that the presence of God would get to flowing in such a way that it would flow through our physicality today, so that anyone who is experiencing symptoms, feeling pain, having an issue with a disease they’ve been diagnosed with, we pray that the flow of God would be turned up in our bodies to carry away every touch of the curse, every ounce of sickness, disease, weakness, and pain, every issue, oppression, depression that might be in our soul today…

Prayer for a “flushing out”…

We pray for a flushing out by the river of God in us and through us in Jesus’ name… every sin, every weight, every burden… Lord, we pray for a dousing and an overflow… a waterfall of grace and forgiveness and healing and power and presence flowing in and through the Church today.

Peg led group singing in the Spirit…

Prayer continued…

Let it flow. Expect Him to flow… expect that to go! Clearing out, clearing out, clearing out… clearing out the clutter, clearing out the opposition and the obstacles … clearing out in our souls, in our hearts, in our lives, in our situations, in our churches, in our nations… clearing out… a sweeping, a clean sweep…

It’s got to go. It’s got to go … It can’t stay. No! No, it can’t stay. That can’t stay there… no, no, no! Not in your soul. Not in your mind. Not in your church. Not in your home. No! It can’t stay in your body. No, it can’t stay in your emotions. No, no, no, no. All of that must go. It’s time! Out, out, out with the old … out, out, out…

Prayer for generational curses must go…

We command those things to get out in Jesus’ name… those past experiences, past remembrances, even ways and things that we picked up on from our families of origin. Oh yes. Things that in some ways seem like they’re generational curses… Today, we speak to them and command them to be broken and to be swept out … out of our souls, out of our behaviors, out of our intellect, out of our relationships, out of our families in Jesus’ name, out of churches…

Prayer for a clean sweep…

We are praying today, Father, for a clean sweep … for a cleaning out at the center of the work of God in individuals’ hearts, in churches, in works of God, in cities, in regions, in nations today … that there would come a fire, that there would become a certain burning of God, an expression and manifestation of the fire of God … for this generation to burn, once again…

Prayer for a holy fire…

Holy fire … we call and pray for a holy fire today… at the center of the hearts of pastors and leaders… at the center of churches today, Lord, at the center of every work ordained of God, whether it be missions or evangelistic in nature, whether it be in the teaching office or in the hearts of pray-ers today… in Jesus’ name, we pray for an ignition of holy fire in hearts and lives for Jesus… a fire, Lord…

Prayer about a separation…

Open up, open up, open up… separate, separate… yes, that there would come a separation…

just yield, yield to the prayer flow this morning… yield to your prayer language…

Prayer about “a break…”

Open up, open up … let the Spirit flow… a break, a break, a break… a break… we pray about that break, Lord. There would come a break there … a change there… an interruption there… open up, open up …

Everyone, just yield now … yield to your prayer language, praying out under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost…

Prayer for obedience…

Let your plan flow, Lord, let your purposes flow… yes, Lord, I’ll obey… we’ll obey… the Church will obey… obey, obey… we pray for obedience today. We pray for responsiveness today… over there, over there, help us to get over there, help the Church to get over there… here at Living Word, in other churches represented with us online. Help us to step over there, to get over into the new, to get over into what you want to do… to shift over into the new plan and the new purpose for this time, in this generation… to move over into a holy cooperation and a holy co-laboring with the Spirit of God… out, out, out of the intellect and out of what’s popular and into what is inspired from heaven… we lay hold of that today… we grab hold of that today… Yes, Lord, that there would come a shift today .., changes today. Breakthroughs today… in the church in the plan and in the working of God in our generation, in our time in this nation, in the nations of the world…

Lord, position us… posture us… get us ready… help us to hear, help us to sense that the Lord is near …

Prayer for leadership in nations…

We lift up leadership in nations, in America … we pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation… that our leaders would hear the heart of God… that our leaders’ decision-making, leadership would be shifted to align with the plan of God today, for America… we remind you, Lord, of the prayers of the saints and those that have gone before us… the forefathers of this nation, those men and women long ago who prayed for this nation… for religion to be able to express ourselves to you and follow you and serve the living God… we lift up and remind you of those prayers that are deathless… And we pray that there would come a fulfillment of those prayers prayed even years ago, decades ago, maybe a century ago… we lift up those prayers and we add ours to those. And we pray that there would be a leading and a directing of America in the right direction.

Prayer that the enemy will not have America…

We say the enemy will not have America. He will not have his way with this nation. We declare America is going the right direction and the right way today and every day… we raise up a standard across the 50 states and territories and regions represented by this nation… we lift up a standard …

Prayer of peace…

and we speak peace over our borders… we speak peace over every state, every region, every city, every town, and village and county… we speak peace today in Jesus’ name.

Prayer of preparation to make way for the Lord…

We also declare preparation … we declare orchestration at the hand and Spirit of God to orchestrate and prepare a way, an inroad and a readiness in every town and every heart and every home in Jesus’ name… to make way for the Lord… for surely you’re at hand… and wanting to visit this land and reveal yourself to this generation… so we pray for a way to be made right now…

Prayer against enemy’s strategy…

we stand up in the spirit against injustice… against division and all the weaponry and strategy the enemy’s trying to deploy… We stand up and hold up the blood of Jesus today over America… we apply the blood of the lamb over our borders, over our leaders, over every region and realm represented in our nation… we plead the blood and pray that the blood would make a way once again… for God to come in force, in display and in power and in glory … that you would come in glory to America, Father…

Prayer for the glory of God to come…

We have to have your glory, Father. We have to have that which you want to give now… we call out for that… we are desperate for it… we are hungry for it… your Word says blessed are those who hunger and thirst for the rightness of God. Well, Lord, we are hungry, thirsting, and supplicating for the rightness of God for our nation, for our city… this is the way it’s going to be … open eyes, open eyes, Lord…

Prayer for the people of the nations…

We release the key … we release the mystery… the mysteries … the mystery of your plan, your purpose for this hour in particular .. we pray for a release of your power … open up, open up, open up… nations, nations, nations… let the nations cry out … let them cry out … let the peoples of the earth cry out … let there come a spiritual deep hunger crying out, crying out, calling out, seeking out the God of heaven… His help, mercy, grace, visitation… Oh, let every family cry out. Every hurt and broken heart cry out… let there come in awareness … an awareness and an awakening and an openness and a calling out to God from the heart individually, an unabashed and an absolute all in call to God… because there’s a rising up in the heart of humanity for God to come … for your presence to show up and rain upon the earth…

Prayer about the fire of God coming…

You are coming, Lord. Yes, we can hear your coming. We can sense you’re coming. God is coming. Jesus is coming. The fire of God is coming. It’s here! It’s flowing… the door is opening. The time is changing. The dispensation is about up … a holy shift is transpiring… a transition … help us to see it, help us to sense it, help the church know it, respond to it and Holy Ghost flow with it in Jesus’ name …

Call for the Church to “wake up”…

So wake up! We declare over the church, “wake up, wake up, arouse yourself, wake up, shake yourself, bring yourself to awareness. Shake off the lethargy… shake it off. Wipe it from your eyes. Unstop your ears. Cause yourself to be set upward, to be put upright in spirit, upright in attitude. Upright in your spiritual stance, for the Lord is at hand in Jesus’ name.

We declare that to the church today. Open eyes, open ears, unstopped hearts that are blocked up and stopped up by sin and regrets and bad decisions and all kinds of things that are too numerous to name. We command there to be an unstopping and unplugging… an opening up to the flow of heaven… the work of God and the fire of revival in Jesus’ name…

Peg shared…

Pastor Ken, when you were talking about how we needed God to come, I saw the hand of God over a certain spot and it was dark. As I kept watching that, when God lifted His hand, things became lighter. So God is going to touch us. He’s going to touch the nations. He’s going to bring light where there’s been darkness.

Pastor Ken…

Absolutely. Thank you, Lord. We love you, Father.

God bless, you guys, and great to have you with us. Thank you, everyone, who joined us online. Have a great Wednesday! God bless.
